Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Polk Street United Methodist Church Chapel by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Conway was born in Georgetown. She received a bachelor of arts degree and a bachelor of music degree in 1931 and 1932. She attended Julliard Music School in 1936 and received a master of music education degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1944. She was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and was active in the 50-50 Couples Sunday School Class. She had taught in public schools in San Antonio, Wharton and Amarillo and was the coordinator of elementary instrumental music. She played in the Amarillo Symphony. Mrs. Conway was a life member of the Amarillo College Foundation Permanent Violin Scholarship Fund, a member of Panhandle Plains Historical Society and held a life membership in the Carson County Texas Square House Museum. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, the Amarillo Art Alliance, Amarillo Red Cross Board of Directors, The MacDowell Music Club and the American String Teacher Association for 40 years. She also held memberships in the SW University Century Club, The Philharmonic Music Club, was an honorary life Member of the Amarillo Music Teachers Association and was nominated for a Golden Nail Award in 1990 by the Discovery Center. She married William E. Conway in 1951. He died in April. Survivors include a stepson, W.E. Conway II of Tucson; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing. Her body was donated to Texas Tech Medical School. Mr. Loner was born in Roswell, Ga. He served in the Army during World War II in the German theater. In both Georgia and Texas, he was a paint contractor. He lived in Groom for 21 years before moving to Amarillo four years ago. He was a Baptist. He married Margaret Crowe in 1947 at Dallas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Loner. She was a nurse in Vernon, Texas A&M Hospital, for Dr. Hak in Amarillo and was office manager for Larry G. Schulz, D.D.S. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She married Harry Lehmkuhl in 1976 at Las Vegas. Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Gene Schulz, D.D.S., of Amarillo; a daughter, Sharon Kay Tidwell of Amarillo; two sisters, Betty Ehlinger of Devine and Irene Messick of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Dorothy Naylor QUANAH - Dorothy Naylor, 79, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at Vernon. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Don Wirsdorfer officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Naylor was born in Quanah and had lived in Hardeman County all her life. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was a homemaker. She married Roy Naylor in 1939 at Quanah. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gary Naylor and Jimmy Naylor, both of Quanah; a daughter, Jean McSpadden of Burkburnett; and a grandchild. Rosa Lee Sneed MULESHOE - Rosa Lee Sneed, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jack Stone, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Bailey County Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. Sneed was born in Pittsburgh and moved to Muleshoe from Hereford in 1929. Loper, pastor, and David Heider, assistant pastor, officiating. A second service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel in Beatrice, Neb. She graduated from Norfolk High School in 1965 and worked at Norfolk Feed Mills. For more than 20 years, she was employed by Kmart. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of Borger. She married Alan Gowdy in October at Las Vegas. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Brent Herbolsheimer of Borger and Brandon Herbolshiemer of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Jimmy Gowdy of Amarillo and Jeromy Gowdy of Lubbock; a sister, Kathy Davis of Gainesville; her parents, Lavina Christie Genrich and Kenneth Genrich, both of Beatrice; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. Ninth, Amarillo. Mr. Auten was born in Los Angeles. He moved to Tulia six years ago from Snyder. He served in the Navy from 1954 until 1957 and was the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. He married Dortha Brock in 1967 at Denver. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Valerie Powell of Las Cruces, N.M., and Kirsten Guetersloh of New Braunfels; his mother, Dorothea Auten of Leona Valley; a brother, Gary Auten of Tulia; a sister, Beverly Vandercook in Leona Valley, Calif.; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Wagner was born in Chillicothe. She managed several Dairy Queens in the Panhandle area and worked for Furr's Food Store for several years. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God. She married Carl E. Wagner in 1938 at Shamrock. He died in 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Delores Glenn of Wellington, Kan., and Wanda Pollard of Clarendon; a son, Charles E. Wagner of Pampa; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. David Patrick Bronner PAMPA - David Patrick Bronner, 35, of Austin, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Christian Church in Pampa with the Rev. Darrell W. Evans, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Bronner was born in Amarillo. He was a 1979 graduate of College High School in Bartlesville, Okla., and attended West Texas State University. A longtime Pampa resident, he moved to Austin in 1996 where he was a carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smackover, Ark. Mr. Hunt was born in Cooper County, Mo., and moved to Borger in 1935 from Clarksburg, Mo. A World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, he served in China, Burma and India theater of operations. He spent many years in car sales and finance and then retired as county auditor in 1982. Mr. Hunt was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242, Valley of El Paso Scottish Rite, Khiva Temple Shrine, and Borger Elks Lodge No. 1581. He married Phyllis Piecuch in 1947 at Borger. She died in 1987. Survivors include two sons, John Hunt of Amarillo and Bill Hunt of Borger; a daughter, Beverly Turner of Borger; a sister, Merl Burks of Belton, Mo.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was born in El Campo. She moved to Friona in 1926 from Yorktown. From 1955 until 1990, she was employed by Mademoiselle's Beauty Shop. Since 1933, Mrs. Taylor had been a member of Union Congregational Church. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 308. She married Albert E. "Slim" Taylor in 1927 at Clovis, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963 and by a daughter, Ethel Mae Ford, in 1977. Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Haydon of Farwell and Doris Young of San Angelo; a brother, Walter Snyder of Midland; three sisters, Dora Deyo of Waco, Linda Stephens of Cleveland and Marie Kenne of Goliad; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Ms. Hutchinson was born in Colorado City. She moved to Muleshoe from Abilene in 1979. She retired from the accounting department of the Borden Milk Co. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Ester Dorcis Circle of the United Methodist Women. Larry Pittman PLAINVIEW - Larry Pittman, 49, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, in Statesville, N.C. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Pittman was born in Big Spring and grew up in Kress where he graduated from high school. He graduated from Texas Tech University and served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He owned Eaton Craig Office Supply and was a commercial pilot for Eastwind Airlines. Mr. Pittman was a member of First Baptist Church and the Lanny Voss Sunday School Class. He also was a member of the Rotary Club. He married Debra Holt in 1988 in Euless. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Travis Pittman and Trey Pittman, both of Plainview; and his parents, Emmet and Jackie Pittman of Plainview. A Borger resident for 54 years, Mr. Gaines was a native of Marion County, Kan. He retired after 37 years as an electrician for Phillips E&P. He was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church, Borger Shriners, a 50-year member of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355 and a lifetime member of the El Paso Scottish Rite. He married Virginia Carpenter in 1938 at Oklahoma City. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Samuel B. Gaines of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Donald E. Gaines of Fresno, Calif.; three brothers, Burdette H. Gaines of Eureka, Kan., Vernon E. Gaines of Oklahoma City and Ralph F. He moved to Rosenberg from Floydada in 1961 where he was owner and operator of Jacco Transmission. He was a Baptist.
