Glenn Dr. James C. Glenn, 80, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Westminster Presbyterian Church with Gene Shelburne, minister of Anna Street Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Dr. Glenn was born in Brown County. He attended Texas A&M University, where he served as a lieutenant colonel of the Corps of Cadets and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering in 1939. After graduation, he worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. at Bartlesville, Okla., until he enlisted in the Army to serve as a first lieutenant in the European Theater during World War II. He graduated in 1950 from the University of Oklahoma Medical School and began his practice in Dalhart in 1952. After three years in Dalhart, he took residency training at the University of Colorado Medical School in obstetrics and gynecology. In 1958, he opened his medical practice in Amarillo and became board certified. He was elected second vice president and medical chairman of the Potter County Cancer Society in 1962. He served as a medical adviser for residents of Faith City Mission, Village of Hope in 1971. Dr. Glenn was a member of the hospital staffs of St. Anthony's, Northwest Texas and High Plains Baptist. He served as president of the medical staff at High Plains Hospital in 1981-82. He retired from private practice in 1988 but stayed active in the medical field until 1997. He married Ada Marie Webster 56 years ago. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carolyn Shaw of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, Stephen W. Glenn of Friendswood, Norman D. Glenn of Aiea, Hawaii, and Greg J. Glenn of Amarillo; and nine grandchildren. There will be a visitation with family and friends following the brief memorial service. Orvial Frank Holt Sr. Orvial Frank Holt Sr., 68, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. He was the co-owner of H&H Wrecker Service and was active with the Citizens Band Radio Association. He married Hazel Dowd in 1949 in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Orvial Holt Sr. of Amarillo; a daughter, Sherry Runquist of Amarillo; a brother, Oscar Holt of Amarillo; a sister, Fay Davis of Hobbs, N.M.; and four grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Auther Lucas Auther "Billy" Lucas, 32, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 15, 1998, in Sayre, Okla. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mr. Lucas was born in Taos, N.M., and was raised at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. He lived in Amarillo, Hereford and Pampa before moving to Erick, Okla., in 1994, where he managed Cowboys Restaurant and Trading Post. He recently moved to Sayre, Okla. He was a former member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Survivors include his wife, Vicki Lynn of Amarillo; two sons, Jonathan Michael Lucas of the home and Joshua David Lucas of Amarillo; a daughter, Hannah Nicole Lucas of Amarillo; and his mother, Bobbye Lucas of Amarillo. George Julius Floyd George Julius Floyd, 66, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with the Rev. Calvin Powell of Grand Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Floyd moved to Amarillo 11/2 months ago from Clovis, N.M., where he had lived for 26 years. He retired from Fort Sam Houston in 1972 from the Army and from Cannon Air Force Civil Service in 1944. He served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. Floyd was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Elks Lodge, all of Clovis. He married Judy Ann in 1990 at Clovis. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Edwina C. Gardner of Detroit, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Vicki L. Knouse and Angela D. Kilgore, both of Amarillo; two stepsons, William L. Webb of Newark, Del., and Gino V. Webb of Kittanning, Pa.; a brother, Edwin R. Floyd of Austin; a sister, Alice T. Simcoe of Austin; and six grandchildren. Mable Ruth McAmis Mable Ruth "Mrs. Mac" McAmis, 85, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998. Maurita Simmons Matney Maurita Simmons Matney, 96, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Miami Cemetery with the Rev. Mrs. Matney was born in Point City, lived in Spearman after she married and then livvved a short time in Canyon. She lived in Woodward, Okla., for 64 years and had lived in Amarillo for three years. Mrs. Matney was involved in two bridge clubs and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. She was president of United Methodist Women's Organization for three years and past president of Beta Sorosis. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Woodward. Mrs. Matney married John T. Matney in 1921 at Amarillo. He died in 1987. Survivors include a brother, R.L. "Bill" Simmons of Amarillo, and a sister, Eula Pearl Petree of Amarillo. Olive Hampton Anderson Olive Hampton Anderson, 99, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Mike Perry, chaplain of Baptist St. Anthony's Health System, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson was born in Newton, Kan. She went to Oklahoma from Missouri in a covered wagon at the age of 10. She lived in Big Cabin, Okla., for 16 years. During World War II, she worked at Pantex in the ordnance department. She also worked in the maintenance division for Greyhound Bus Lines. She married Claude Hampton in 1916. He died in 1939. She married Hubert Anderson in 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986, and two daughters, Eva McBroom in 1998 and Betty Raef in 1997. Survivors include a son, Claude Hampton of Amarillo; a daughter, Helen Donaldson of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. He did pipeline work in the construction field. Nivens Sr., both of Stinnett. Lucy Mae Russell OLTON - Lucy Mae Russell, 57, died Monday, June 15, 1998. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park at Plainview by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home at Plainview. Mrs. Russell was born in Crowell and moved to Floyd County in 1956 from Crowell. She had lived in Olton since 1968. She married Roger Russell Sr. in 1957 at Petersburg. She was a member of United Baptist Church at Plainview. She was a homemaker. Johnnie W. Reedy FRITCH - Johnnie W. Reedy, 78, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Petersburg Cemetery at Petersburg with the Rev. Scott Cundiff, pastor of Trinity Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Reedy was born on the banks of the Red River in Ravenna and moved to Fritch 40 years ago from Greenville. He retired as an operator in 1982 from Phillips Copolymer Plant. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a choir director at the Fritch Church of the Nazarene for numerous years. He was a charter member and a builder of the Fritch Church of the Nazarene. He married Betty Jo Cox in 1942 at Petersburg. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jonitta Ward of Fritch, Kathy Whelchel of Borger and Jodena Dotson of Fritch; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Robert Frank Jack PAMPA - Robert Frank Jack, 89, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ with Tim Walter, minister, and Larry Brown, Family Life minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Jack was born in Barnsdall, Okla., and moved to Skellytown in 1937 from Oklahoma. He married Lula Belle Corbin in 1928 at Barnsdall. She died in 1969. He worked as a pumper for Mobil Oil for 35 years, retiring in 1972. He moved to Pampa in 1972 from Skellytown. After his retirement, he worked for Dyer's Bar B Que until 1982. He married Maxine Speck Davis in 1982 at Pampa. He was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. He was an Army veteran, serving in the 10th Mountain Division from 1943-45. He was stationed in Kiska Island, Alaska; Pisa, Italy; and Brenner Pass, Germany. He was training for the invasion of Northern Japan when the Japanese surrendered. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Hearron of Pampa and Shirley Jones of Amarillo; two sons, Benny Ridener of Odessa and John Davis of Austin; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Kay was born in Gray County and was a lifetime resident of Pampa, graduating in 1934 from Pampa High School. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Mrs. Kay married Roy L. Kay in 1936 at Pampa. They formerly owned and operated Clayton Funeral Co. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Crusader's Sunday School Class, Texas State Florists, Pampa Senior Citizens and an associate member of the West Texas New Mexico Florists Association. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Kay of Oxford, Ohio, and Mary Iva Hallett of Pampa, and two grandchildren. Fryar in 1941 at Clovis, N.M., and had been a Hereford resident for 41 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Dewane Fryar of Sundown; a daughter, Janet Daniel of Granbury; four sisters, Wilma Peaslee of Scottsdale, Ariz., Loretta Brock of Phoenix and Marietta Johnson and Floydeen Roberts, both of Clovis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Ingram was born in Tyler and came to Collingsworth County in 1915 with her family. She married John Ingram in 1919 at Wellington. Mrs. Ingram owned and operated a fabric and ready-to-wear shop in Wellington for 16 years. She retired at the age of 85. She was a member of First Baptist Church and an active supporter of the Larry Jones Feed the Children Ministry. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1964 and a son, J.C. Ingram in 1978. Survivors include two sons, W.S. Ingram of Friona and Clyde Ingram of Wellington; three sisters, Emma Tate of Panhandle, Lena Caison of Fort Worth and Daisy Owens of Hollis, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. They left Canadian and moved to Flagler, Colo., in 1967 and returned to Canadian in 1979. He was a farmer and a rancher and attended the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Deborah Kendall of Houston, Penny Brown of Perryton and Roberta Kendall of Angel Fire, N.M.; a son, Bill Kendall of Canadian; and a grandson. Robert George Lawson PADUCAH - Robert George Lawson, 58, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Seigler Funeral Home, 903 13th St., with the Rev. Sam Crosby, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation was by Seigler Funeral Home of Paducah. Mr. Lawson was born in Orange, Calif., and attended schools in Paducah. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Marines. He was also retired from the Merchant Marine. He was a Baptist. Survivors include a son, Gerald Allgood of Robinsonville, Miss., and a stepbrother, Buddy Hertenberger of Colorado City, Kan.
