Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Horn, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Floydada, officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park. Mrs. Bishop was born in Carlton and moved to Floydada in 1915. She attended school in Floydada. She had worked as a telephone operator and was a housewife. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Association, the First United Methodist Church and the UMW at the church. She also was a member of several bridge clubs. She married J.B. Bishop in 1924 in Floydada. He died in 1970. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Roberts in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Cross of Lewisville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Robert J. Ray PAMPA - Robert J. "Buck" Ray, 80, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Nathan Hopson, pastor of Hi-Land Pentecostal Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Ray was born in Quanah. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. He worked for Cabot Corp., 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Hi-Land Pentecostal Church. He married Leona White in 1974 in Pampa. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karla Cho, in 1997. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Cheryl Vinson and Kelly Richey, both of Amarillo, Terry Searl and Julie Vinson, both of Pampa and Betty Heathington of Borger; seven sons, Henry Vinson of the home, Scott Vinson and Jeff Vinson, both of Pampa, Jimmy Vinson and Tracey Vinson, both of Austin, David Vinson of Houston and Steve Vinson of Amarillo; a brother, Charlie Ray of Dumas; 17 grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. She married Larry N. Franklin in 1966 in Sanford. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Crystle L. Johnson of Dewey, Okla., Cheryl L. Milum and Carie L. Franklin, both of Borger; her parents, Rudolph and Drucilla McElroy of Borger; a brother, Rudy L. McElroy of Lubbock; a sister, Janice M. Jeter of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Rose Marie Outhier PERRYTON - Rose Marie Outhier, 66, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Christ with Terry Danley and Robert Moore officiating. Mrs. Outhier was born in Troupe and moved to the Perryton area 42 years ago from Okeene, Okla. She worked for the Soil Conservation Service for 28 years and was a Church of Christ member. She married Cecil Outhier in 1950 in Putnam City, Okla. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jim Outhier of Billings, Mont., and Jack Outhier of Phoenix; a daughter, Wanda Dyess of Lubbock; two sisters, Nell McMillan and Jean Householder, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Cleo Maurie Evans MINERAL WELLS - Cleo Maurie Evans, 88, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Phillip Jones, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Plainview, officiating. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Evans was born in Carnegie, Okla., and lived in Plainview for 60 years before moving to Mineral Wells in 1995. She had been a resident of Crazy Water Retirement Center, later moving to Mineral Wells Care Center, where she was voted Resident of the Month in May. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Melvin Mitchell Evans in 1927 at Duncan, Okla. He died in 1989. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Evans and a daughter, Billie Jean Evans. Survivors include a son, Bobby Evans of Possum Kingdom; four brothers and sisters, Willie Meredith and Opal Justice, both of Marlow, Okla., J.W. Adrian Connally PLAINVIEW - Adrian Connally, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. He married Lois McClanahan in 1981 at Clovis, N.M. Jerome Joseph Gerber Jerome Joseph Gerber, 56, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Monsignor Joseph Tash officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery at Nazareth by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mr. Gerber was born in Dimmitt and moved to Amarillo in 1996. He graduated from Nazareth High School in 1960. He had lived in Nazareth, Tatum, N.M., and Carlsbad, N.M., before moving to Amarillo. He worked for Amoco Production Inc. for many years where he was a pumper. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Gerber was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and St. Edward's Parish in Carlsbad. He married Glenda Barber in 1966 at Hereford. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Amanda Brown of Carlsbad; three sons, Loyd Anton Gerber of Colorado Springs, Colo., J. Mrs. McCrary was born in Trent. She attended Southern Methodist University. She married Elmer McCrary in 1935 in Dallas. They moved to Amarillo in 1941. She had been a member of the Little Mother's Club for several years and was a charter member of the Tascosa Country Club. She attended First Presbyterian Church for 57 years. Survivors include her husband; a son, Nick McCrary of Amarillo; a daughter, Susan Jean Smith of Hope, Ark.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3208 Teckla. Oswald A. Brewer Oswald A. Brewer, 78, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in New Zion Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. H.E. Hughes St. Mr. Brewer was born in Rocky Crossing, Limestone County and moved to Amarillo in 1957. He attended school in Mexia, graduating from Woodland High School. He was also a graduate of Paul Quinn College in Hawkins, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology. He taught and coached basketball at Dunbar High School in Mexia until 1955. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946. He retired from TSTI in 1986 as an inventory specialist. Survivors include six sons, James Thomas of Dallas, Emery A. Brewer, William Brewer and Terry Brewer, all of Amarillo, Lee Brewer of Alabama and Ron Brewer of Austin; three daughters, Iantha Holly of Mexia, Lanette Brewer and Saundra Brewer, both of San Antonio; a brother, Ruel Brewer of Mexia; and 23 grandchildren. She returned to Amarillo three months ago. She was a member of the Christian Church at Bradenton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Wells, in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Richie of Amarillo; a sister, Faye Cooper of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Girl Scouts of America, Church Administrative Board and Northwest Texas Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ben McClendon, in 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Lynn Neblett of Austin and Carol Ann Parmelee of Dallas; two brothers, Herbert E. Mrs. Amburn was born in Wolf City and moved with her family to Floyd County in 1914, where she attended a country school. She moved to Canyon in 1972. She worked as a seamstress for 35 years and was a member of the Second Avenue Church of Christ. She was a member of the Floyd County Home Demonstration Club. She married Foster Amburn in 1924 at Floydada. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Juanelle Taylor of Canyon; two sons, Glen Amburn of Tulia and Thomas Amburn of Amarillo; a sister, Bertha Raley of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
