Services will be at 2:30 p.m today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Craig VanDeburgh of the Community Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Blue Mound Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker. Mr. Barnett was born in Beaver, Okla. Following his 1958 graduation from Perryton High School, he attended Texas Tech University majoring in agronomy. He farmed on his family's homestead. Mr. Barnett was a certified board member of the North Plains Electric Cooperative. He received his director's certification for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. He served on the Perryton Equity Board from 1971 until 1983. Mr. Barnett was a member of the Community Christian Church. He was involved with the 4-H club. His second marriage was to Rebecca Solomon in 1993. He had married Mary Anne Collins in 1961. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger. Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Barnett of Dublin, Calif.; a daughter, Deborah Higgins of Sacramento, Calif.; a stepson, Douglas Siemens of Troutdale, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Lori Elrod of Houston; his mother, Isabel Barnett of Perryton; two sisters, Peggy Sonnamaker of Oklahoma City and Helen Sluder of Perryton; and five grandchildren. The family request memorials be to Community Christian Church or Hospice of Perryton. Glen Amonett PETERSBURG - Glen Amonett, 72, died Saturday, April 18, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Petersburg First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Lowrie, pastor, and the Rev. Ronnie Travis, pastor of Harwood Terrace Baptist Church in Bedford, and the Rev. Jesse Nave of Petersburg officiating. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Amonett was born in Montley County. He attended school in Lake View and graduated from Petersburg High School. He received his bachelor's degree in geology from Texas Tech University. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Amonett moved to the Lake Jackson area after his first marriage. He returned to Petersburg in 1959 where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Toast Masters of Plainview, Petersburg Lions Club, Petersburg Masonic Lodge, and THEOS. He was president of an organization of the 96th Infantry Division. He married Edith Joyce Sinclair in 1948 at Plainview. She died in 1986. He married Ruby Teeter in 1993. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Wendy Fulton of Shreveport, La., and Yvonne Thomas of Kent, Ohio; two sons, Carol Amonett of Nacogdoches and Johnny Amonett of Stockton, Calif.; a stepson, Randy Teeter of New Deal; a brother, Durwood Amonett of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. Aloha Fisch SILVERTON - Aloha Fisch, 77, a former resident of Silverton, died Sunday, April 19, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Silverton Church of Christ with J.D. Nance and John Francis officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Silverton. Mrs. Fisch was born in Plainview. She was a member of the Rock Creek Church of Christ. She married Berle Fisch in 1942 at Plainview. He died in September, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Hare and Barbara Banister, both of Amarillo; and a grandchild. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. O'Brien was born in Dawson County and moved to Morton in 1950. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a homemaker. She married J.C. O'Brien in 1930 at Dawson County. He died in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Ray O'Brien of Morton and Mike O'Brien of Lubbock; a daughter, Geneva Jones of Levelland; five sisters, Jewel McWherter of Stephenville, Lib Statford and Thyra Crowder, both of Fort Worth, and Mary Robinson and Bessie Vance, both of Paris; and two brothers, Homer Barrow of Meadow and George Barrow of Stephenville. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Central Church of Christ with Billy Patton of Memphis, Tenn., and Tom Bailey of the church officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by GilillandWatson Funeral Home. Mr. Rowland was born in Anson and moved to Deaf Smith County in 1956. He retired as owner of Rowland Stables. He was a member of Central Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years. He was involved in several farm and youth organizations. He married Opal Driskill in 1935 at Stamford. She died in 1992. Survivors include three sons, John Rowland and Monte Rowland, both of Amarillo, and J.L. "Jigger" Rowland of Hereford; a daughter, Judy House of Amarillo; a sister, Tommie D. Patton of Carlsbad, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 104 16th. Ina Wilkins Stovall KRESS - Ina Wilkins Stovall, 91, died Sunday April 19, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Kress with the Rev. Cecil Foster, former pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kress Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mrs. Stovall was born in Memphis and attended school there. She attended Clarendon Junior College. She moved to Kress in 1931 where she was a member of the Kress First Baptist Church, the Kress Study Club and the Texas Flying Farmers. She was a homemaker. She married Wallace R. Stovall in 1923 at Clarendon. He died in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Baker of Sheppard and Jean Garner of Austin; a son, Buddy Stovall of Kress; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren. He moved to Amarillo 35 years ago. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Church. He married Dorothy Dalrymple in 1934. He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Zimmerman, in 1948, and a daughter, Mary Ann Zimmerman, in 1940. Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Robert Zimmerman and John Zimmerman, both of California, and Frank Zimmerman of Oklahoma City; and two sisters, Elsie Barton and Gertrude Plum, both of California. He had been a resident of Amarillo for more than 25 years. He was in the restaurant management business for more than 40 years. He retired in 1981 after 15 years with Texico Truck Town in Amarillo. He married Viviette Byers in 1940 at Golden, Colo. She died in 1980. He also was preceded in death by a son, Edward Clute, in 1974. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Henry of Amarillo and Barbara Zobens of Englewood, Colo.; a son, Bob Clute of Panhandle; two brothers, John Clute of Folsom, Calif., and E.L. He owned a custom combining company for many years. He was employed by the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad from 1941 until 1953. He farmed in Quail and Wellington. Mr. Elbert had been an Amarillo resident for the past 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Bonnie Glenn in 1941 at Memphis. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Kay Elbert of San Clemente, Calif.; a son, Dick Elbert of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He married Loretta James in 1948 at South Flat, Okla. He was preceded in death by a grandson in 1992. New Mexico Thomas Crump ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Thomas Crump, 80, a longtime resident of Curry County, died Saturday, April 18, 1998. Mr. Crump was born in Las Cruces and attended schools in Grier, St. Vrain and Melrose. He attended Lipperts Business College in Plainview, Texas. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps. He farmed and was the bus contractor for the Melrose Public Schools for many years. He married Mintie Wall in 1945 at St. Vrain. Survivors include three daughters, Geraldeen Mitchell of Plainview, Velma Baggett of Sundown, Texas, and Kathleen Thalman of Placitas; a brother, Johnny Eshleman of Grier; and six grandchildren. Oklahoma Harold George Walker GUYMON, Okla. - Harold George Walker, 86, died Saturday, April 18, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. John United Methodist Church in St. John, Kan., with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John by Minnis Funeral Chapel. Local arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon. Mr. Walker was born in Stafford County, Kan. In 1931, he graduated from Macksville High School. He had been an active member of the Radium Methodist Church, the First Methodist Church in Wa Keeney, Kan., and the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church in Guymon. Mr. Walker was a farmer, metal fabricator and inventor of farm tools. His company, the H.G. Walker Manufacturing Co., was incorporated in 1973 and the name changed to Metal Contracting and Manufacturing. His inventions ranged from the Walker "Fast Unloader" and "V-Belt Conversion" for the MasseyHarris combines to the Krause and John Deere one way plow, "Walker System Lift." His mechanical inventions were a part of the Flex-King Industries production of the under-cutter, rod-weeder and the more recent innovation of the disc scraper. He married Minnie Mae Steadman in 1934 at St. John. She died in 1995. He also was preceded in death by an infant son, Dale George Walker. Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Johnson of Guymon; a son, Norman Walker of Kentwood, Mich.; two sisters, Ruby Beamer of Larned, Kan., and Julia Mapel of Wichita, Kan.; three brothers, Russell Walker of Stafford, Kan., Eddie Walker of Macksville, Kan., and Vernon Walker of Bella Vista, Ark.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
