She was a member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church. She married Bennie Anderson in 1975 at Las Vegas. Survivors include her husband; and a son, Kris Anderson of Amarillo. The family requests memorials be to Harrington Cancer Center. Horace B. Byerley Jr. Horace B. "Hoss" Byerley Jr., 71, of Amarillo, died Thursday, June 18, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. John McClean, senior pastor, and Dr. Norman W. Grigsby, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Anton by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Byerley was born in Crosbyton and had been an Amarillo resident for 13 years. He was a graduate of Levelland High School and attended Texas Tech University. He earned his bachelor's degree from Western New Mexico University and his master's degree from Southwest Texas State University. Mr. Byerley was a teacher and coach in Anton, Hale Center and Perryton. He ran the junior high program in Perryton for 15 years then served as administer for seven years. He retired in 1983. He was a member of Top of Texas Coaches Hall of Fame and St. Paul United Methodist Church. He married Dott Motl in 1947 at Anton. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Byerley of Lubbock and Chris Byerly of Joshua; two daughters, Susan Meek of Amarillo and Cindy Snell of Fort Worth; his mother, Floy Byerley of Hale Center; a brother, Earl Byerley of Bandera; seven grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Mrs. DeLozier was born in Medicine Mound. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Hereford. She married George DeLozier in 1930. He died in 1977. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Fairview Cemetery at Memphis, Texas, with the Rev. Jim Bible officiating. Arrangements are by Memphis Funeral Home of Memphis. Mr. Murrell was born in Texhoma, Texas. He lived in Indian Creek, north of Lakeview, Texas, in his early years, where he farmed with his family. As an adult, he prospected and was a musician, playing the guitar, steel guitar and harmonica. Survivors include cousins, Wilma Piephoff and W.A. Mrs. Whitley was born and raised in Amarillo. She was a 1946 graduate of Amarillo High School. She moved to Austin in 1969 where she retired from St. David's Hospital. She moved to Crowell in 1984 and was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church. She married Billy Gene Whitley in 1947 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Brenda Turner of Round Rock; two sons, Billy Royce Whitley of Round Rock and Gary Whitley of Crowell; her mother, Mary Seymour Webb of Austin; three sisters, Janet Brewer and Joyce Oehlert, both of Amarillo, and Donna Stone of Cedar Park; two brothers, Paul Arnn of Phoenix and W.J. Mr. Nguyen was born in Vietnam and came to the United States in 1983. He moved to Liberal in 1991 where he had been employed at National Beef Packing for seven years. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Survivors include his parents, Duc Kintt and Huu Su Nguyen of Oklahoma City and Tien Dung Nguyen of Vietnam; and four sisters, T. Kim Lintt of Oklahoma City and Thi Chi Phung Nguyen, Thi Tuyen Tien Nguyen and Thi Yen Duyen Nguyen, all of Vietnam. The body will not be available for viewing. Mrs. Beck was born in Bowie and had been a longtime resident of the Tucumcari area. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and had retired from the city of Clovis golf course. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, in 1983. Don Willingham, pastor of North Plains Christian Church in Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Amistad Cemetery in Amistad by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mr. Cleveland was born in Kirkland, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Union County, living in Amistad for most of his life. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1933 and was a member of North Plains Christian Church. He married Lilly Reif in 1937 at Clayton. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janna Lechner of Dumas, Texas; a son, Kendall L. "Buzzy" Cleveland of Clayton; two brothers, E.A. Pete Cleveland of Dumas and G.L. She had lived in Hardeman County most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and participated in the Acme reunion. She married Charles Raymond Coats in 1943 at Pleasant Valley. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Coats, in 1952.
