Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Cemetery in Hereford by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. McWilliams was born in Hereford. She moved to Amarillo in 1974 from Hereford. She married Thomas Wayne McWilliams in 1995 at Amarillo. She was a customer service representative for Diamond Shamrock and a member of Summerfield Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Brady Duke of Wichita Falls and Casey Duke, USMC, Twentynine Palms, Calif.; a stepson, Dustin McWilliams of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Alyssa McWilliams of Amarillo; her mother, Reba Allmon of Hereford; a brother, Randy Allmon of Hereford; and a grandchild. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Alline R. Wardle Alline R. Wardle, 96, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Eastview Cemetery in Vernon with the Rev. Royce Womack of San Jacinto United Methodist Church officiating. Local arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Wardle was a homemaker. She moved to Amarillo 72 years ago from Plainview. She had been a member of San Jacinto United Methodist church for 50 years. She also taught Sunday school there. She was a member of the Texas A&M Mothers Club and a member and treasurer of the West Amarillo Garden Club. She married Frank Wardle in 1921 at Vernon. He died in 1979. She also was preceded in death by a son, Rowland Wardle, in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Faye Williamson of Menifee, Calif.; a son, Charles Wardle of Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, Keefe Rowland of Chico; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing. Blanton Armstrong Blanton Armstrong, 81, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Frank Williams, pastor, and the Rev. David Evans, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Armstrong was born in Estacado and had been a resident of Amarillo for 20 years. He was a farmer and a grain elevator manager before retiring. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Niles Armstrong, in 1972. Survivors include his wife, Mary Armstrong; a son, Dr. Dean Armstrong of Amarillo; two sisters, Kim Armstrong of Olalla, Wash., and Eileene Armstrong Moran of Westminster, Colo.; and five grandchildren. Wanda Maxine Carter Wanda Maxine Carter, 74, of 1501 W. Ninth Ave., died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. Tom Black of Summitt Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will be Monday in Abilene. Mrs. Carter was born in Cuthand and moved to Abilene when she was 12. She moved to Amarillo in 1979 from Abilene. She was a homemaker and member of Summitt Baptist Church. She married Jake W. Carter in 1941 at Anson. He died in 1975. Survivors include a daughter, Constance Margaret Gill of Abilene; three sons, Terrell H. Carter of Santa Fe, Roger D. Carter of El Paso and Dois Carter of Amarillo; a sister, Doris Cox of Dublin; a brother, Travis Clark of Abilene; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Oklahoma Donna Lee Taylor GUYMON, Okla. - Donna Lee Taylor, 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Van Heckle, pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangement are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Ms. Taylor was born in Springfield, Mo. She graduated from South High School in Omaha, Neb. Ms. Taylor moved to Guymon in 1993 from Greenville, S.C. She worked for Oklahoma Opportunities Inc. as a bus dispatcher for the No Man's Land Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include a brother, Jess Franklin of Greenville; and a sister, Paula Neas of Guymon. Geoffrey Scott Underwood GOODWELL, Okla. - Geoffrey Scott Underwood, 20, a former Goodwell resident, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, in Houston, Texas. A private memorial service was in Port Aransas, Texas. Arrangements were by Santana Funeral Home of Houston. Mr. Underwood attended public school in Goodwell and also attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He was a senior speech major at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, where he was an active member of the forensics team and a member of Alpha Psi Omega honorary and Cardinal Key. He was a member of United Methodist Church. Mr. Underwood had maintained a lifetime involvement in the Boy Scouts of America. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1991 through Guymon Troop No. 163 and completed his Eagle Palms the following year. In 1993, he earned the National Hornaday Conservation Award for activities completed through Troop No. 163. He was an active researcher and writer. He authored or co-authored 10 scholarly papers for presentation at student and professional conventions. Last year, a national journal for tropical fish enthusiasts published his research report. His poetry appears in more than 20 student and commercial anthologies. Survivors include his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Willard Underwood of Gruver, Texas; two brothers, Brian Underwood of Port Aransas and Patrick Underwood of Bartlesville; a sister, Amy Wagner of East Weymouth, Mass.; and his maternal grandmother. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Reynero was born in San Antonio. She married Martin Reynero in 1940 at Georgetown. They moved to Canyon from Stanton, Mich., in 1987. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Area Cecil Leicht FARNSWORTH - Cecil Leicht, 73, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998. Rosary was recited Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton with the Rev. Rex Nicholl and the Rev. Edward Kieran officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Mr. Leicht was born in Ochiltree County and had been a lifetime area resident. He married Mary Pletcher in 1943 at Beaver County, Okla. He was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife; three sons, John Leicht of Streetman, Jeff Leicht of Farnsworth and Bert Lee Leicht of Phoenix; a daughter, Mary Cec Lea of Wolfforth; a sister, Wilma Wilson of Davie, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Len Stafford BORGER - Len Stafford, 72, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998. He was a plant operator at Phillips Philblack Plant for 30 years. He then worked as a heavy equipment operator for six years before retiring in 1983. He married Linda Coburn in 1968 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; three sons, John Stafford of Fulton, Mo., Leon Stafford of California, Mo., and Mike Stafford of Fritch; three daughters, Donna Hoffman of Jefferson City, Mo., Kay Robinett of Holts Summit, Mo., and Judy Wilson of Ravana, Mo.; a sister, Bea DeVore of Borger; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Charles D. Arnold PERRYTON - Charles D. Arnold, 47, of Cheyenne, Wyo., a former Perryton resident, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998. He graduated from high school in 1969. He had lived in Wyoming for seven years, moving from Perryton. He was a motel clerk. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cheyenne and the Cribbage Club in Cheyenne. Survivors include his mother, Frieda Chick of Perryton; a son, David Arnold of Amarillo; and two brothers, Dale Chick and Sydney Chick, both of Perryton. Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. until service time. Veda Dorsey FLOYDADA - Veda Dorsey, 91, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wendal Horn, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery. Mrs. Dorsey was born in Georgetown. She graduated from Floydada High School and attended Texas Tech University. She married Andrew Murett Dorsey in 1934 at Floydada. He died in 1989. She was a homemaker and a bank teller. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sisters-in-law including Madge West of Floydada; and a brother-in-law. Morris WHEELER - Willie M. Morris, 99, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Quail Cemetery at Quail with the Rev. Jack Waddell of Albuquerque, N.M., officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home. Mrs. Morris was born in Indian Territory. She married Willie Lee Morris in 1915 at Memphis. They moved to Wheeler in 1964 from Pampa. Mr. Morris died in 1965. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Lee Morris in 1987 and Loel Raymond Morris in 1978; and by a daughter, Zora Bell Anderson, in 1994. Mrs. Morris was employed as a seamstress at a laundry in Pampa. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wellington. Survivors include two sons, Sebern A. Morris of Wheeler and J.C. Morris of Wichita Falls; 14 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; and several great-greatgrandchildren. Phillip Haberer EARTH - Phillip Haberer, 73, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church of Springlake with his brother-in-law, Dr. George Worrell, of Greensboro, N.C., and the Rev. Tim Pruit, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Earth Memorial Cemetery by Parsons-Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Haberer was born in Dimmitt. He moved from the Big Square community to Earth in 1963. He served with the Army during World War II. He married Jean Wilson in 1947 at Earth. Mr. Haberer was a farmer and had served on several cotton gin boards and grain elevator boards. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Springlake. He also was a member of the Promise Keepers and the International Christian Farmers of America and was chaplain of the Lone Star Bounders of Texas. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dan Haberer; two daughters, Sharla Haynes of Akin, S.C., and Kleta Gerner of Lubbock; a sister, Betty Joy Worrell of Greensboro; and a brother, Roger Haberer of Earth. Charlotte Germaine Holden DALHART - Charlotte Germaine "Jerry" Holden, 67, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lakeview United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Edwards, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home Inc. Mrs. Holden was born in Cimarron, Kan., and moved to Greensburg, Kan., when she was 9. She returned to Cimarron in 1943 and graduated from Cimarron High School in 1948. She married Wilbur Holden in 1948. They moved to Hastings, Neb., in 1966 and to Dalhart in 1991. Mr. Holden preceded her in death. Mrs. Holden was a member of the national singing group "Sweet Adelines." She was an Avon representative for more than 20 years. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Consbruck of Dalhart; three sons, Michael Holden of Montrose, Colo., Douglas Holden of Gustine, Calif., and Andrew Holden of Grand Rapids, Minn.; a sister, Jacqueline Holland of Colorado City, Colo.; two brothers, Jerome Holden of Broken Arrow, Okla., and James Holden of Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
