Mrs. Keeling was born in Canadian, Texas. She moved to Elkhart in 1995 from Keyes, Okla., where she had lived for 30 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. She married Monroe "Jim" Keeling in 1954 at Sunray, Texas. Norma A. Reville LAS VEGAS - Norma A. Reville, 68, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Mrs. Reville was born in Snyder, Okla. She moved to Nevada in 1986, settling in Las Vegas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star. New Mexico Gertrude Foster CLOVIS, N.M. - Gertrude Foster, 96, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace at Farwell by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Foster was born in Arkansas. She was married to Willie N. Foster for 75 years. They moved to the Oklahoma Lane community from Oklahoma, where they farmed and raised their family. In 1952, they retired and moved to Farwell. Mr. Foster died in 1996. Mrs. Foster was a member of Hamlin Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Ernestene Feagan of Mission, Kan., Barbara Whitmore of Pleasant Hill and Marcia Bell of Clovis; two sons, B.J. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Raton. She was a teacher and a 50-year member of Queen Esther Chapter No. 1. Mrs. Hamilton was a pioneer of Red River, where Winifred O. Hamilton Day is celebrated on her birthday. She wrote two books, "Wagon Days in Red River" and "Reflection From Raton to Red River." She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Hamilton. Archie C. Neff PORTALES, N.M. - Archie C. Neff, 85, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Wheeler Mortuary of Portales Chapel with the Rev. Troy Neff officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. (CST) in McAdoo Cemetery in McAdoo. Mr. Neff was born in Callahan County, Texas, near Cross Plains. He attended school in McAdoo. He first moved to the Forrest area north of Clovis in 1944. He moved back and forth between there and Floyd County, Texas, several times before settling in the Portales area in 1980. He was active in the Portales Senior Citizens. He was a former member of Assembly of God Church in Floydada. Mr. Neff married Trudie Williams in 1934 at Childress. He married Dovie Paty in 1961. She died in 1991. He married Lillie Harrell in 1995. He also was preceded in death by two sons, "Little Archie" Neff and Randy Neff. Richard R. Malone CLOVIS, N.M. - Richard R. "Dick" Malone, 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in The Chapel with Dr. Frank Sherman officiating. Military honors will be by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Malone was born in Hope, Ark. He moved to Clovis in 1979. He served during World War II with the 200th Coast Artillery Unit and was held as a prisoner of war for 40 months. He was a member of the Bataan Veterans Association. After the war, he entered into a career in administration with the Atomic Energy Commission. He attended the University of New Mexico. Mr. Malone married Arlene Smith in 1947 at Carlsbad. He was preceded in death by his wife and by a son, Bobby Malone. Oklahoma B.C. Trentham BALKO, Okla. - B.C. Trentham, 77, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Balko school auditorium with the Rev. Dwayn Isaac officiating. Burial will be in Balko Mennonite Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas. Mr. Trentham was born in Wise County, Texas. He moved to the Balko area 15 years ago. He farmed and ranched at the T-T Ranch from 1975 to 1984. He was an undersheriff for the Beaver County Sheriff's office from 1984 to 1996, when he retired. Mr. Trentham was a member of the Balko Lions Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Mennonite Brethren Church. He married Irene Coston in 1943 at Tucumcari, N.M. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home Chapel in Erick with Elder T.J. Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Erick Cemetery. Mr. Griffin was born in Oklahoma Territory. He spent his early life in the Jester community and attended school in Jester and Erick. In 1917, he moved with his parents south of Erick, where they established the Griffin Farm. He attended business college in Abilene. He married Alma Elizabeth Fowler in 1927 at Wellington, Texas. They established their home south of Erick, where they were active in farming. Mr. Griffin owned the Griffin farm for nearly 80 years. He retired from farming in 1968 but continued to be a handyman and carpenter. Mr. Griffin spent a short time working in an arsenal in Benicia, Calif., during World War II. He was a member of Erick Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include a daughter, Helen Allen of Perryton; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. Area Ruby I. Barron PERRYTON - Ruby I. Barron, 93, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis, N.M. Mr. Crowley was born in Comanche, Okla. He moved to Farwell five years ago from Amarillo. He retired as an engineer from Burlington Railroad in 1976 after working there for 33 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Farwell. He married Ruddene Lacewell in 1992 at Farwell. Mr. Gillpatrick was born in Tipton, Okla. He had lived in the Quanah area for more than 63 years. He farmed and ranched north of Quanah for many years before becoming a merchant in downtown Quanah. James Monroe Casteel Jr. KRESS - James Monroe Casteel Jr., 76, a former Kress resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was wounded in action in France in 1945. After being discharged, he moved to Kress. He lived in Kress until 1991, when he moved to Albuquerque. She married Lester Trench in 1982 at Amarillo. He died in 1988. Survivors include two sons, Elmer Edwards of Amarillo and Billy Edwards of Cookville; two daughters, Nell Stamatis of Lubbock and Linda Parker of San Angelo; three brothers, Buster Hanna of Turkey, Clifton Hanna of Wichita, Kan., and Lowell Hanna of Burkburnett; a sister, Opal Cooper of Puma, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing today at the funeral home in Amarillo and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church in Turkey. Canyon Mary Ruth Redden Mary Ruth Redden, 78, of Canyon, a former longtime Bovina resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church in Bovina with the Rev. Neely Landrum, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Redden was born in Leonard. She moved to Bovina with her family when she was young. She graduated from Oklahoma Lane school, near Bovina. She attended Texas Tech University for three years. She was a longtime resident of Bovina before moving to Canyon in 1992. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bovina. She was a state-champion bowler. She married Eddie Redden in 1938 at Conroe. He died in 1965. Survivors include a daughter, Joy Harmon of El Paso; two sons, Bob Redden of Plano and Jim Redden of Canyon; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Brigham Miller, 89, of Canyon, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Noblett, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Holley Funeral Home Inc. Mrs. Miller was born in Denison. She graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. She retired from the Randall County Tax Office. She was active in Calvary Baptist Church. She married Clarence Leroy Miller in 1943 at Laredo. They have lived in Canyon since 1953. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bill Miller of Carlsbad, N.M., and Larry Miller of Canyon; a daughter, Marjorie Radcliffe of Amarillo; and six grandchildren.
