Graveside services will be at 10 a.m today in Llano Cemetery with John McMath, minister of Bell Avenue Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Nance was born in Spray, N.C., and had lived in Amarillo 49 years. He was a member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He had been the owner and operator of Jerry's Dry Cleaners before driving a truck for Texas Oklahoma Express. He later worked for Doche Cleaners. He and Myrtle Marie Fox were married in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Clara Marie Nance, in 1951. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Doug Nance and Gene Nance, both of Amarillo; a brother, Paul Nance of Eden N.C; three grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Richard L. McCorkle Richard L. "Mac" McCorkle, 83, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. McCorkle was born in Salida, Colo., and graduated from high school in Colorado Springs, Colo. He retired from the Army as a first lieutenant. He attended the Colorado School of Mines. Mr. McCorkle was an advertising salesman. He was Catholic. He married Jean Austin in 1951 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deborah Simonis of LaCrosse, Wis.; and two grandchildren. Estella Baer Estella "Mano" Baer, 94, of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998. There will be a private family memorial service. She married Adolph "Honey" Baer Sr., who died in 1935. She also was preceded in death by a son, the Rev. Joe M. Baer, in 1981. In 1986, she retired after 33 years with the State of New Mexico Human Services Department. For 35 years, she worked part-time at The Rabbit Ear Cafe. Mrs. Martinez was an active member of St. Francis Catholic Church where she served in the Ladies Alter Society and Faith in Action. She also was active with the CHS Reunion Association. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Cranfill was born in Ryan and was raised in southern Oklahoma. He graduated from Ryan High School and graduated from Southwest State University with a bachelor's and master's degree. He also attended Oklahoma State University. He served in the Marines and taught special education for 13 years. The Rev. Cranfill had been pastor of First United Methodist Church of Perry since 1992. He also had served as a minister at Manitou, Lexington, Lawton, Mutual, Fargo, Fort Supply and Fort Gibson churches. He was a member of the Perry Ministerial Alliance and the Perry Lions Club. She had worked as a social worker for the Department of Human Services for many years and more recently worked for Henson-Novak Funeral Home. She was an active member of First Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star where she had served in many offices. She married the Rev. Harold O. Wood in 1935 at Sedan. He died in 1992.
