Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Pickett was born in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School. She was a charter member of South Georgia Baptist Church and a member of the Women's Federated Club and the Centennial Lions Club. She was owner of Shirley's Unique Jewelry. She also had a booth at Busy Bee Crafters Mall. She married Bobby Wayne Pickett in 1952 at Amarillo. He died in 1992. Survivors include three daughters, Kim Benson and Kay Lynn King, both of Amarillo, and Karen Pickett of Austin; a son, Tim Pickett of Amarillo; a sister, Kay Behrens of Amarillo; a brother, Rufus Gaut of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Duane Holly Duane "Bud" Holly, 62, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerald of San Jacinto United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Holly was born in Sayre, Okla. He was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School. He moved to Dallas and was employed by Santa Fe Railway. The company transferred him to St. Louis. He then began working for Armour Food Express as manager. This company later was sold to Swift, for whom Mr. Holly was transportation manager. He was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. Mr. Holly married Elaine Brooks in 1956 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, April Holly of Portland, Ore.; and a son, Brooks Holly of Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Ramsey, in 1973. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Lewis of Rosebud; and three sisters, Etoile Pope of Amarillo, Eileen Bynum of Rocky Ford, Colo., and Nona Lee Clark of El Paso. Beverly B. Craig Beverly B. Craig, 70, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave., with Robert Lovett officiating. Mrs. Craig was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House for Children. She also was a volunteer for Home for Battered Women, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the American Cancer Society. Survivors include her husband, John J. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Marguerite O. Barnes Marguerite O. Barnes, 105, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Barnes was born in Crosby County and moved to Amarillo when she was young. She was a 1910 graduate of Amarillo High School. She married John Quincy Barnes in 1917 at Amarillo. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to New York. They returned to Amarillo in 1924. Mr. Barnes died in 1949. She also was preceded in death by a son, John Barnes, in 1945. Mrs. Barnes had been a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church since 1924, as well as the Co-workers Sunday School Class. She was a past state treasurer for the Texas United Methodist Women and a past president of the YWCA. She was named Beta Sigma Phi's Woman of the Year in 1955. Survivors include two daughters, Carlie Simpson of Amarillo and Alice Moxey of Midland; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Mr. Cameron was born in Cleveland and graduated from Ohio State University. He moved to Texas in 1941. He married Ina Gordon in 1941. He entered the Navy in 1942 and served as a lieutenant while stationed in Trinidad. He was discharged in 1946 and moved back to Amarillo in 1948. Mr. Cameron served as manager for Garner Motors, Plains Chevrolet and Village Cadillac. He was a legal administrator for the Gibson law firm. He retired in 1986. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Priscilla Camp of Houston, Cindy James of Dallas and Becky Steffer of Arlington; a son, Don Cameron Jr. of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He moved to Plainview in 1957 and graduated from Plainview High School in 1972. He enlisted in the Navy in 1972 and served until 1976. He was a self-employed wallpaper contractor. Mr. Pyatt was a former member of the Plainview High School a cappella choir, the High School Rodeo Association, Little League and Babe Ruth League. "Bud" Flaten in 1988 at Midland. Oklahoma Corabell Corbin McKee GUYMON, Okla. - Corabell Corbin McKee, 84, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. McKee was born in Tishomingo. After graduating from Stillwater High School and attending Colorado University, she graduated in 1934 from Panhandle A&M College. She obtained a degree from Paragon Secretarial School in New Orleans in 1935. She then returned to the Panhandle and accepted a position as secretary to the Panhandle A&M College president. She married Marvin E. McKee in 1938. He died in 1981. Mrs. McKee was a homemaker and an active member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church. She also was a member of Pi Beta Phi and Chapter AM of PEO and a life member of No Man's Land Historical Society. She was a member of Ohoyahoma, which is for wives of Oklahoma state legislators. She also was a duplicate bridge life master. In 1986, she was inducted into the Panhandle State Alumni Hall of Fame. Survivors include two sisters, Frances Corbin Bennett of Oklahoma City and Robertellen Corbin Leiphart of Naples, Fla.; and two nieces, Kerry McKee Harris of Phoenix and Lela Bennett Sullivan of Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Arthur was born in Panhandle and had been a Borger resident for 55 years. She lived in Norway from 1977 to 1981. She graduated from Happy High School. She was a homemaker and owner of Arthur's Custom Decorating and Antique Clocks. Mrs. Arthur was a member of First Baptist Church, the Collectors Club and the Fantasia Dance Club. She also was a member of the chamber of commerce and was the 1988 Chamber Woman of the Year. She was a volunteer for the Hutchinson County Museum. She married Philip Arthur in 1942 at Syracuse, Kan. He died Jan. 2. Gaines Alvin Deel QUANAH - Gaines Alvin Deel, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. He began working for Phillips when he was 17 years old. He then went into construction. He was a member of Local No. 196 Plumbers and Steamfitters in Amarillo. Mr. McClellan married Dorothy L. Richeson in 1946 at Perryton. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronald McClellan of Mira Loma, Calif., and Odis McClellan Jr. of Borger; a daughter, Sharee Thieleman of Cape Coral, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Lajuan Stegall of Stinnett; 13 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Booker Christian Church with Jim O'Banion officiating. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service. Mr. Ogilvie was born in Beaver, Okla. He was raised on the family farm north of Booker and attended Booker schools. He married Oleta Fausset in 1961 at Booker. They lived in several places before making their home in the Booker area in 1973. Mr. Ogilvie was employed by Permian Corp. as a truck driver until 1978, when he began working as a motorcycle mechanic. He owned a motorcycle dealership before moving to Wichita, Kan., in 1986. He worked as an insurance auditor until returning to the motorcycle business. He and his wife moved back to Booker in 1996. Mr. Ogilvie was a member of Booker Christian Church and the Christian Motorcyclist Association. He was preceded in death by a son, Kelly. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Annette Howard of Perryton; a brother, Marvin Ogilvie of Moore, Okla.; and a sister, Wanda Davis of Perryton. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Leedy was born in Bedford, Iowa. He was a former resident of Kerrick and a former longtime resident of Junction City, Kan. He had lived in Stratford since 1995. He was the owner and operator of a drugstore. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a longtime Elk and past Lions Club president, all in Junction City, Kan. He was a life member of Masonic Union Lodge of Junction City and the Scottish Rite Isis Temple of Salina, Kan. He married Julia Bernice Turk in 1926 at Nevada, Mo. She died in 1980. He returned to Wayside to farm. He married Ruth Marie Hardy in 1945 at Clovis, N.M. They moved to California and lived there for a short time before returning to Wayside. They later moved to Canyon. In 1988, they moved to Lovington and operated A-1 Self-Storage and Mobile Home Park. Mr. Dodson was a truck driver and truck broker. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lovington. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edward Dodson, in 1986. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Connie Dickson of Lubbock and Candace Brennan of Boone, N.C.; a son, Bill Dodson of Fort Worth; a brother, Jack Dodson of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Chasity R. Dingman PERRYTON - Chasity R. Dingman, 4-month-old daughter of Lisa R. Crane and Jeffery R. Dingman, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harrol Waterbury officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Chasity was born in Perryton. Survivors include her parents; two brothers, Daniel Dingman and Patrick Dingman, both of Perryton; grandparents, Linda Graves and Alvin Crane, both of Huntsville, and Ron and Debbie Dingman of Perryton; great-grandparents, Shirley and Ray Choat of Idabell, Okla., and Alvin and Evelyn Crane of Perryton; and great-great-grandparents, Ruth Winchester of Perryton, Freda Austin of Nevada, Mo., and Mrs. Graves of Kilgore.
