Ms. Walser was a student and a native of Borger. Survivors include her parents, Teresa and Jim Landon of Warrensburg and Mike and Mara Walser of Fritch; one brother, Shane Walser of Warrensburg; and one sister, Cheryl Walser of Bedford. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Jim Lamb GRUVER - Jim Lamb, 62, died Tuesday, July 21, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Gruver Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Gumfory officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Lamb was born in Manila, Utah. He moved to Gruver from Stratford three years ago. He was employed as a farm and ranch laborer. Survivors include two sons, Dick Lamb and Tom Lamb, both of Green River, Wyo.; a daughter, Lauri Lamb of Utah; a brother, Keith Lamb of Gruver; two sisters, Fern Ferrero of Manila and Nedra Burke of Evanston, Wyo.; and seven grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to American Heart Association or a favorite charity. Rhonda Daile Hale Reid TURKEY - Rhonda Daile Hale Reid, 38, died Tuesday, July 21, 1998, in Claude. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Turkey with the Rev. Melvin Clinton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Home of Turkey. Ms. Reid was born in Lockney and was a longtime resident of Turkey. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Roxanne Reid and Connie Darlene Reid, both of Amarillo; her mother, Ruby Cone of Amarillo; two brothers, Johnny Webster of Amarillo and David Russell Hale of Lubbock; and three sisters, Ruby Darlene Hale, Peggy Armer and Connie Webster, all of Amarillo. Amarillo Roland P. May Roland P. May, 83, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998. Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Carathers, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at noon in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in White Deer. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Allan May, in 1970. Lillian Day Simms Lillian Day Simms, 89, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, July 21, 1998. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle. Additional services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Lawrence Frank, pastor, and the Rev. Gary Byrd, pastor of Christian Heritage Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Simms was born in Manitou, Okla., and had been an Amarillo resident for more than 30 years. In the 1950s, she had been a telephone operator in Mountain Park, Okla. She was a homemaker and member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. She married Alfred R. Simms in 1925 at Frederick, Okla. He died in 1990. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Beatrice Crow, in 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Lorene McCallick of Hobart, Okla., Arleta Stapp of Amarillo and Nancy Patrick of Fort Worth; two sons, A.R. Simms Jr., of Crockett and Lloyd Dale Simms of Amarillo; a sister, Virginia Lee of Chickasha, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Eugene M. Peck GUYMON, Okla. - Eugene M. Peck, 85, died Monday, July 20, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bunch-Roberts Chapel, with the Rev. Don Chase of the First Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Peck was born in Weatherford, Okla. He graduated from Yukon High School in Yukon, Okla., with the class of 1933. He then attended General Motors training school. He was auto mechanic for Langston Buick in Guymon from 1952 to his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Keyes, Okla. He married Vera Evelyn Simons in 1938 in Okarche, Okla. They moved to Guymon from Oklahoma City in 1949. She preceded him in death in 1955. In 1962, Mr. Peck married Earlene Mae Andrews in Clayton, N.M. She preceded him in death in 1994. Survivors include a son, Don Peck of Edmond, Okla.; a daughter, Velta Teeter of Johnson, Kan.; a brother, the Rev. Virgil Nalley of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She moved to Lubbock in 1968 from Tucumcari, N.M. In Tucumcari, she was a member of Eastern Star and St. Michael's Episcopal Church. She married Bob Bivens in 1950 at Clayton, N.M. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Kim Mangum of Abilene and Kay Wood of Lubbock; a brother, David Womack of Rye; and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Ector County-Odessa Cemetery by HubbardKelly Funeral Home of Odessa. The Rev. Wilson was born in Hess, Okla. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1948 and from Sul Ross University in 1952, then attended seminary in Fort Worth. He was the pastor of churches in Etter, Shamrock, Balmorhea, Alpine and El Paso. The Rev. Wilson was associated with High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo. In 1998, he retired after 19 years as chaplain with Odessa Medical Center. He was a member of Mission Baptist Church in Odessa. Survivors include his wife, Helen; four sons, Tommy Wilson of Monahans, Paul Wilson of Lubbock, Ross Wilson of Austin and David Wilson of Odessa; his mother, Drusilla Cosper of Pampa; a brother, Elmer D. Wilson of Pampa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Odessa High School, the Kidney Foundation, or Hilton Chancellor Hospice of Odessa. Canyon Jewell Brown Glovier Jewell Brown Glovier, 87, of Canyon, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel in Canyon with the Rev. Jim Hancock, director of Missions for Lubbock Baptist Association, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Glovier was born in Fort Smith, Ark., and raised in Nacogdoches and Goldthwaite. She lived in Portales, N.M., and Abernathy before moving to Amarillo in 1929. With her husband, she moved to a farm near Canyon in 1956. In 1988, they retired to Canyon. She was a member of the Canyon Garden Club, the Westside Home Demonstration Club and the Canyon Senior Citizens Center. She married Paul Glovier in 1938. Survivors include her husband; 11 nieces, including Carol Reams of Amarillo and Gail Arterburn of Reno, Nev.; and three nephews. The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S.
