Graveside services will be at 11 a.m.(MST) today at Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, N.M., with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Clayton, officiating. Mrs. Mosier was born in Sweetwater. She was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1938. She married Floyd Mosier in 1963 at Clayton. She lived in Clayton for many years before returning to Amarillo earlier this year. She was a homemaker and a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church in Amarillo as well as First Baptist Church of Clayton. Survivors include her husband; a son, Billy Krause of Amarillo; two daughters, Cindy Krause of Amarillo and Linda Krause Zaretsky of Los Angeles; a stepson, Floyd Wayne Mosier of Clayton; two stepdaughters, Lynda Mosier of Clayton and Nancy Naranjo of Roswell, N.M.; two sisters, Euelline Judd of Amarillo and Polly Woodall of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce (city beautification committee) or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Amarillo chapter. Joan McCormack Joan McCormack, 68, died Monday, July 20, 1998. Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia St., with Monsignor Francis A. Smyer and the Rev. Ken Keller of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1200 S. Washington St., with Smyer, Keller and the Rev. Pat Hoffman of St. Laurance Cathedral officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Ms. McCormack was born in Chicago. She was a claims representative for the Social Security Administration for 27 years in Amarillo, Lubbock and Plainview. She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include two nephews, Col. George Nussbaum of Germany and Jim Nussbaum of Amarillo; two nieces, Reta Nussbaum of Amarillo and Jackie Nussbaum of Germany; two great nieces; and great nephews. Michael Larenc Risenhoover Michael Larenc "Mike"Risenhoover, 43, died Tuesday, July 21, 1998. Cremation was by Memory Gardens Cemetery with arrangements by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce St. Mr. Risenhoover was a veteran of the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was employed as an aircraft mechanic and was a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Shauna Risenhoover of Amarillo; a brother, Mitchell Risenhoover of Delta, Colo.; a half-brother, Johnny Merz of Montrose, Colo.; and his grandmother, Sylvia Risenhoover of Mancos, Colo. His body will not be available for viewing. Helen Wands Helen Wands, 71, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery with members of the family officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Wands was born in Sheffield, Ala. She was a member and the assistant to the art director at the Amarillo College Senior Citizens Association. She married Claud Frank Wands in 1943 at Amarillo. He died in 1995. She also was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Gilbert "Bert" Wands, in 1979. Survivors include a son, Sam F. Wands of Amarillo; a daughter, Mary L. Lamb of Colorado; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Dominick L. DeSierra Dominick L. DeSierra, 84, of Amarillo. died Thursday, July 23, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with Monsignor Smyer of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. DeSierra was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Amarillo in 1946. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired as a baker for Mead's Bakery. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1475, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and American Legion. He married Irene Payton in 1946 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Don DeSierra of Amarillo; two daughters, Loretta Jordon of Amarillo and Susan Levin of Memphis, Tenn.; and five grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Blessed Sacrament Church Building Fund, 2500 S. Bolton, Amarillo, Texas. Oklahoma Albert R. Hofferber HOOKER, Okla. - Albert R. Hofferber, 71, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooker, with the Rev. Robert Herrod officiating. Arrangements are by HensonNovak Funeral Directors of Guymon. Mr. Hofferber was born and reared in Hooker and was a lifelong resident. After graduating from Hooker High School, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in the Japanese Theater from 1944-46. Mr. Hofferber was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he held numerous offices and was the treasurer of the church's men's club. Prior to founding Al's Superburger in 1955, he was involved in trucking and farming with his father. He had also owned and operated the local Diamond Shamrock station. Active in civic affairs, Hofferber served as president of the Hooker Chamber of Commerce and was treasurer of the Texas County Chamber of Commerce. He, along with wife Aymee, had been the comanager of the Hooker Main Street Program. He married Alice Clark, who preceded him in death. In 1969, he married Aymee Jensen Tarrant at Hooker. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lynn Marie Bragg of Wichita, Kan., and Kristie Gay Stone of Fort Sill; two sons, Timothy Hofferber of Hooker and John T. Tarrant of Mustang; a stepmother, Esther Hofferber of Hooker; six brothers, Larry Hofferber, Gerald Hofferber, Wesley Hofferber and Mike Hofferber of Hooker, Steve Hofferber of Sandy, Utah, and Leslie Hofferber of Amarillo; and six grandchildren. Box 1306 Guymon, Okla., 73942. New Mexico Agnes Hodges MELROSE - Agnes Hodges, 91, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Melrose with the Rev. Roy Roach and the Rev. Lewis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Elida Cemetery by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales. Mrs. Hodges was born in Mason, Texas, which was her home until the family moved to New Mexico in 1931. She and her husband had worked on ranches in the Elida and St. Vrain area for more than 60 years. She had lived in Melrose since 1974 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Hodges had been a member of the Fields Baptist Church for many years. Since living in Melrose, she had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Melrose. She married Rudolph Hodges in 1925 at Brady. Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Dortha Fae McCarthy of Kingman, Ariz., Ila Mae Smith of Melrose, Billie Rains of Elida, Betty Joan Faubion of Winchester, Calif., and Cora Lee Parson of McLean, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five greatgreat-grandchildren. Elsewhere Joe Macrander GRAPEVINE - Joe Macrander, 61, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Restland Funeral Home Memorial Chapel followed by burial in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Mr. Macrander was born in Shenandoah, Iowa, and was raised in Amarillo. He was in the Boy Scouts and National Guard before attending West Texas State College. He later attended Texas A&M University and received his bachelor of science degree from East Texas State University. Mr. Macrander was a former patient and member of the board of directors of the Warm Springs Rehabilitation Center in Gonzales. In the late 1960s, he received the President's Committee award for hiring the handicapped. He was a professional artist and a teacher. For 11 years. Mr. Macrander taught commerical art and graphic design at Grand Prairie High School. Later, he was a volunteer at Corey Elementary School, Heritage Elementary in Colleyville and the Victims Assistance Program at the Arlington Police Department. He married Jean McDaniel 31 years ago. Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Clark Macrander; his mother, Pearl Macrander of Amarillo; and two brothers, Jim Macrander of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Gene Macrander of Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Humphrey, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Mr. Waters was born in Smith County and had been a Dumas resident since 1942. An Army veteran of World War II, he was recipient of the Purple Heart. He retired as owner and operator of S.D. Waters Construction and was a member of First Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Elizabeth Dean in 1942 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dean Waters of Dumas; a brother, Howard Waters of Lamar, Colo.; and two sisters, Irene Owens and Marie Miller, both of Houston. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. Parker was born in Bokchito, Okla., and moved to the Morton area in 1947. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She married Owen Parker in 1934 at Banty, Okla. He died in 1985. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Parker, in 1991. Survivors include a son, Jerry Parker of Morton; a daughter, Donna Lemons of Morton; a sister, Juanita Switzer of Bokchito; a brother, L.V. Keenon of Checotah, Okla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Holland Jr. PERRYTON - Robert H. Holland Jr., 71, died Thursday, July 23, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Ochiltree Cemetery with the Rev. Craig Vandeburgh officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mr. Holland was born in Perryton where he was a lifetime resident. He retired as a farmer and rancher and was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Charlotte Blundell in 1959 at Perryton. She died in 1988. Survivors include a son, Robert H. Holland III of Perryton; five daughters, Patti Hudson of Pampa, Stacy Sanders of Hobbs, N.M., Holly Holmes of Irving and Glenna Kottas and Sandy Deal, both of Perryton; two sisters, Wilma Schuster of Lubbock and Virginia Andrews of Perryton; two special friends, Jean L. Virgie May Adams BOVINA - Virgie May Adams, 84, of Lubbock, died Thursday, July 23, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Bovina with the Rev. Gary Morgan, pastor, and Dr. Wilson Canafax of Fort Worth officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Adams was born in Fredrick, Okla. She had lived in Bovina since 1953 and moved to Lubbock in 1992. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Adams was a member of First Baptist Church and Bovina Senior Citizens. She was a former Girls Auxiliary director and former Women's Missionary Union director. She married Pierceson A. Adams in 1938 at Manitou, Okla. He died in 1983. Survivors include three sons, Terry Adams of Atlanta, O.W. "Dub" Adams of Dumas, and Jack Adams of Houston; a daughter, Martha Jackson of Lubbock; a sister, Martha Jewell Henderson of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
