Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with the Rev. Robert Field, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Elliott was born in Groom and raised in Clarendon. He attended Clarendon High School. He moved to Amarillo in 1983 from Earth. He married Deborah A. Mays in 1971 at Clarendon. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kimberly Deann Elliott and Buffy Kay Elliott, both of Amarillo; a son, Status Lee Elliott of Amarillo; his parents, George Clifton and Ruby Lee Elliott of Clarendon; three brothers, Clifton Elliott Jr. of Amarillo, and Thomas Eugene Elliott and Donnie Lee Elliott, both of Clarendon. Dr. P. Harlan Wilson Dr. P. Harlan Wilson, 70, of Amarillo, died Thursday, May 21, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Olsen Park Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Dr. Wilson was born in Boulder, Colo., and attended schools in Campion and Greeley. He attended high school at Shelton Academy in Shelton, Neb. He attended Union College, then graduated from Southwestern Junior College and Madison College with a bachelor of science degree in medical technology. Dr. Wilson moved to Denver, where he was medical technologist at Porter Hospital and Swedish Hospital. He attended graduate school at the University of Colorado, then graduated from Kansas City College of Osteopathy in 1963. He interned at Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital before opening his practice in 1964 in Amarillo. He retired from his office in 1994 and became medical director for the Crown of Texas Hospice. In 1995, Dr. Wilson received the Presidential Citation for Excellence from Southwestern Adventist College. He was chosen as 1998 Medical Director of the Year by the Texas / New Mexico Hospice Organization. He pioneered some of the early stop-smoking clinics in Amarillo. Dr. Wilson was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi honorary fraternity, a life member of American Osteopathic Association, and a member of Olsen Park Seventh-day Adventist Church where he served as an elder and health and temperance leader. He served on the board of directors at Southwestern Adventist University for many years. He married Jean Heinbaugh in 1949 at Ridgeview, S.D. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna Jean Wilson-Roper of Coral Springs, Fla., and Linda M. Wilson of Dallas; four sons, Paul E. Wilson of Glendale, Calif., Harlan Veronne Wilson of Pampa, Charles G. Wilson of Burleson and Ted N. Wilson of Amarillo; a sister, Norma Hall of Simi Valley, Calif.; a brother, Don Wilson of Arlington; and 16 grandchildren. Arthur Dean Wyble Arthur Dean Wyble, 67, of Amarillo, died Thursday, May 21, 1998. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Lofgren was born in Amarillo of "Double A" and Grace Meredith. Mrs. Lofgren was an active volunteer in community and school organizations. She was a Cub Scout den mother, Girl Scout leader, and worked with Rainbow Girls. She was known to man the pumps of the Lake Tanglewood volunteer fire department. Mrs. Lofgren taught Sunday School at Buchanan Street United Methodist Church where the family had held membership for many years. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and a former member of Lake Tanglewood Christian Church. She married William Lofgren Sr., in 1937 at Amarillo. He preceded her in death in 1983. Survivors include two sons, William W. Lavina Howton Gililland HEREFORD - Lavina Howton Gililland, 101, of Oxnard, Calif., and a former resident of Hereford and Amarillo, died Sunday, May 3, 1998. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at West Park Cemetery in Hereford with members of the family officiating. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Gililland was born in Wise County. She operated Gililland Dairy in Hereford until 1955 and operated the Texas Lou Motel in Amarillo from 1955 until 1975. At that time, she moved to California. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star and a Baptist. She married Pinkeny Hart Gililland in 1920 at Hereford. He died in 1975. Survivors include a son, Bob S. Mrs. Hendrix was born in Decatur, Miss., where she attended schools and graduated from Decatur Community College. She moved to Lubbock and later to Floydada in 1960. Mrs. Hendrix had been employed by Federal Crop Insurance and Producers Elevator. She previously owned the Montgomery Ward catalog sale store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Billy F. Hendrix in 1950 at Memphis, Tenn. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Janet Hendrix, in 1961. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mark Stephen Hendrix of Odessa and Joel Hendrix of Floydada; a daughter, Susan Whited of Lubbock; and 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Tyler was born in Memphis. She lived in Dalhart from 1959 until 1990. She was employed by several businesses in Dalhart and retired after 10 years with C.R. Anthony. She attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dalhart and was a member of the congregation in The Woodlands. She married Ted Edgar Tyler in 1926 at Flower Mound. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Teddy Carl. Survivors include a son, O. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Geraldine Self of Dalhart; two sons, Charles Clements of Conlen and Harry Clements of Fort Worth; two sisters, Ruby McCown and Jenny Cantrell, both of Dalhart; a brother, Jasper Clements of Dalhart; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Bachtell was born and raised in Los Angeles where he graduated from high school. He was a truck driver for many years. He was a Methodist. Gilbreath, 88, died Saturday, May 23, 1998. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah with the Rev. Sam Crosby, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Paducah, officiating. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home of Paducah. Mr. Gilbreath was born in Callahan County. He had been a longtime resident of Cottle County before moving to Lubbock in 1969. He was a World War II veteran, a retired farmer and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Mary; three sons, Leslie Gilbreath and Douglas Gilbreath, both of Paducah, and Carl Gilbreath of Wink; a daughter, Virginia Gilbreath of Lubbock; a brother, John Gilbreath of Paducah; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
