Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Burke of Amarillo Catholic Diocese officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Mrs. Easton was born in Alva, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1917. She moved to California in 1935 and to Yucca Valley in 1978. A homemaker, she helped her husband with his fishing business in Newport Beach, Calif., and Monterey, Calif. Mrs. Easton was a Copperette at the Copper Mountain Mesa Community Association and a member of the Yucca Valley Gem and Mineral Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Easton. Survivors include two sons, Robert Randall of Yucca Valley and Lloyd Randall of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Walter Simon of Tulia; a sister, Rose Hill of La Crescenta, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Fred Gene Gallegos Fred Gene Gallegos, infant son of Michelle Jean Gallegos of Amarillo, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Hector J. Madrigal of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church officiating. Roy A. Fultz Sr. Roy A. Fultz Sr., 86, a former Dumas resident, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, in Albuquerque, N.M. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, in Amarillo. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo with the Rev. Richard Sculley, pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Fultz was born in Mobeetie. He had lived in the Phillips and Borger areas for 40 years where he was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. Refinery. He had lived in Dumas for 17 years and moved to Albuquerque five months ago. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He married Nellie B. Fultz in 1933 at Pampa. He was preceded in death by his wife in April and by a son, Roy Fultz, in 1997. Survivors include two sons, John Fultz of Aurora, Colo., and Ed Fultz of Albuquerque; a daughter, Margaret Lynch of Garland; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends after the funeral at the Ambassador Hotel, 3100 W. Interstate 40 in Amarillo. Lucy Abney Lucy Abney, 81, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Abney was born in Couch, Mo., and had been an Amarillo resident for many years. For 10 years, she was office nurse for Dr. Royse before retiring. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Norman, in 1963 and by her second husband in 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Fenberg and Barbara McConnell, both of Amarillo; a sister, Helen Denton of Jenks, Okla.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3907 Devon and 2507 Stardust Lane. They suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. Bobbie Avery Knight Bobbie Avery Knight, 65, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998. Mrs. Knight was born in Coleman and lived most of her life in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and member of Joy Fellowship Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Jeronimo Herrera Jeronimo Herrera, 78, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Rosendo Herrera of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church officiating. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth. Mr. Herrera was born in Coleman. He moved to Amarillo six years ago from Wilson. He was a farmer and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Paul Herrera-Medina of Amarillo and Victor Herrera of Tahoka; three daughters, Jose Garza, Mary Garza and Martina Herrera, all of Tahoka; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. New Mexico Mae McGregor CLOVIS, N.M. - Mae McGregor, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Old Union Cemetery in Dunlap, Tenn., with the minister of First Baptist Church of Whitwell, Tenn., officiating. Local arrangements are by SteedTodd Funeral Home. Arrangements in Tennessee are by Ewton Funeral Home of Dunlap. Mrs. McGregor was born in Dunlap and spent most of her life in Chattanooga. She retired as a baker for the Chattanooga School System. After her retirement, she moved to Clovis. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Wayne McGregor of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; a daughter, Martha Jane Watkins of Clovis; a brother, Thomas Lively of Chattanooga; two sisters, Ann Hatfield of Harrison, Ark., and Loraine Bailey of Whitwell; six grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Muriel Kincheloe CLAYTON, N.M. - Muriel Kincheloe, 84, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. CST Tuesday in Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kan., by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mrs. Kincheloe was born in Larned, Kan., and married Jim Kencheloe in 1934 at Richfield, Kan. They homesteaded in Torrence County in 1934 then moved to Boise City, Okla., in 1941. They farmed and ranched in Sedan area from 1948 until 1964 when they moved to Clayton. With her husband, Mrs. Kincheloe operated the Kincheloe Health Salon in Clayton for many years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Muriel Maureen Viola Kincheloe, in 1939. Survivors include two daughters, Zoe Kenemore of Dumas and Jimmie Lorraine "Diamond" Brown of Phoenix; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous greatgreat-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity in her name. Elsewhere Virginia Rogers LUBBOCK - Virginia Rogers, 55, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in MacKenzie Terrace Baptist Church with the Rev. S.W. Keeton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by Resthaven Funeral Home. Mrs. Rogers was born in Memphis, Texas, and lived in Amarillo for 20 years before moving to Abernathy. She had lived in Lubbock for the past 20 years. She was a homemaker and a member of MacKenzie Terrace Baptist Church. She married Oliver G. Rogers in 1958 in Memphis. Survivors include her husband; a son, Toby Rogers of Bryan; two daughters, Sue Marez and Sandra Petree, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Ruth Johnson and Margie Thurman, both of Amarillo, and Mary Stinson of Edmond, Okla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Southwest Cancer Center or the National Reye's Syndrome Foundation. Estaline Middlebrook Knox JACKSBORO - Estaline Middlebrook Knox, 81, of Chico and a former resident of Amarillo, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksboro with the Rev. Charles A. Cox officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Knox was born in Jack County. She retired as cafeteria manager for the Amarillo Independent School District. She was a member of Morris Memorial Methodist Church. She married Horace Knox in 1942 at Norfolk, Va. He preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Wilson of Arlington; a son, Arnold Knox of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, Bernie Pruitt of Jacksboro; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Phil Sterrett ABERNATHY - Phil Sterrett, 85, of Midland, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Abernathy Cemetery with the Rev. Fane Downs, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Midland, officiating. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Trinity Presbyterian Church in Midland with the Rev. Fane Downs and the Rev. Mary Beth Anton officiating. Arrangements are by Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy. Mr. Sterrett was born near Abernathy and was a 1932 graduate of Abernathy High School. He graduated in 1938 with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University where he was in the Tech band. In 1939, he moved to Abernathy where he was employed by Southwestern Public Service Co. until 1943 when he transferred to SPS in Plainview. In 1944, Mr. Sterrett transferred to Clovis, then returned to Abernathy in 1952. He moved to Amarillo in 1961 then moved to Midland in 1988. He was a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Sterrett was active in the Presbyterian Church where he taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir and Men's Association and was an elder. He served in the National Guard. He was a member of Lions Club and the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America. He was a volunteer for the hospital auxiliary, Meals on Wheels and the Boy Scouts where he was a member of the Order of the Arrow. Mr. Sterrett served on the board for Caprock Girl Scout Council and was development chairman for Camp Rio Blanco. He was a 32nd degree and Master Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Khiva Temple and Knights Templar. He married Grace Katherine "Kay" Rea in 1939 at Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Sterrett of Farmers Branch, Tom Sterrett of Richardson and David Sterrett of Austin; a daughter, Betty Ann Prentice of Midland; a stepdaughter, Chris Gasser of Arvada, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Area Roy Howard Blackman SPEARMAN - Roy Howard Blackman, 91, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories with Don Stone, Church of Christ minister from Clarendon, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Mr. Blackman was born in Memphis and was a resident of Clarendon for most of his life before moving to Spearman six years ago. In 1985, he retired after 50 years of farming in the Chamberlain community. He was a member of Clarendon Church of Christ, Clarendon Masonic Lodge No. 700 and was a 50-year Mason. He married Ruby Ila Bogard in 1928 at Clarendon. She died in 1988. Survivors include a son, Billy Roy Blackman of Spearman; a sister, Pat Carter of Lovington, N.M., two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Robbie Mae Tilson FRITCH - Robbie Mae Tilson, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Faith Covenant Church with the Rev. Jerry Moon, pastor of Biblical Apostolic Church of Borger, and the Rev. James Chandler, pastor of United Pentecostal Church of Great Bend, Kan., officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of the Good Shepherd in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Tilson was born in Fannin County and had been a Hutchinson County resident since 1944. She was a homemaker and member of the United Pentecostal Church where she served as church secretary and member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She married Roy Tilson in 1927 at Honey Grove. He died in 1983. Survivors include four sons, Lonnie Tilson of Whitney, Finas Tilson of Walls, Miss., Leo Tilson of Hackett, Ark., and Joe Tilson of Dallas; two daughters, Dorislene Price and Elaine Feese, both of Borger; 13 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. Betty Harper PAMPA - Betty Harper, 66, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Mrs. Harper was born in Shawnee, Okla., and moved to Pampa in 1954 from Jacksonville, Fla. She married Jim H. Harper in 1950 at Maryland. She was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Ray Harper. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Johnny Harper of Pampa and Jimmy Harper of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Col. Zachary Miller of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mike Nino DIMMITT - Mike Nino, 72, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday in Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Guillermo Morales officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens. Mr. Nino was born in Hondo. He moved to Castro County 50 years ago from San Marcos. For 30 years, he was a mill operator for Taylor Feedyard. He also worked for Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery until his death. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He married Manuela Vasquez in 1945 at Martindale. He was preceded in death by a son, Lupe Nino, and by a daughter, Marlene Nino. Survivors include six sons, Mike Nino Jr., of Dumas, John Nino of Hereford, Richard Nino of Coleman, Joe Nino of Dimmitt and Edward Nino and Gilbert Nino, both of Amarillo; three daughters, Alice Rieves of Hereford, Virginia Gonzales of Roosevelt and Marlene Martinez of Amarillo; two brothers, Felipe Nino of San Marcos and Amos Nino of Washington; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
