Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Sunset Memorial Cemetery with Zeb Sailors, minister of Stinnett Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Rea was born in Sweetwater, Okla., and had been a Hutchinson County resident for 60 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Stinnett Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Rea, in 1978; and by a son, John Paul Rea, in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Don Rea of Fort Smith, Ark., and Charles Rea of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Charlotte Atherton of Plano; a sister, Verda Meissner of Sayre, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The body will be available for viewing at Brown's Memorial Chapel in Stinnett until service time. Jetta V. Williams CHILDRESS - Jetta V. Williams, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McCurley, pastor, and the Rev. Jon Crosby of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born in Paris, Texas, and moved to Childress in 1935. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Kyle Williams in 1935 at Hollis, Okla. He died in 1977. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Gilliland of Childress; a son, Jim Bob Williams of Childress; four sisters, Etta Sims of Childress, Tommie Wansley of Memphis, Texas, Christine Nesbitt of Paris and Doris Alexander of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Everett Cole HART - Everett Cole, 89, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of Christ with Jim Hardwick and Deryl Clevenger officiating. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Mr. Cole was born in Childress. He moved to Hart in 1958 from Lockney. He was a member of the Hart Church of Christ. He worked for the school safety patrol at Hart Independent School District until retiring. He married Bernice "Bea" Henderson in 1945 at Plainview. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gene Davis of Conner, Mont., Curtis Davis of Spearman and Gary Cole of Plainview; three daughters, Ann Pevehouse of Hart, Linda Baker of Baton Rouge, La., and Carolyn Harman of Dimmitt; two brothers, W.H. Willie Cason Autry PLAINVIEW - Willie Cason Autry, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wellington. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Autry was born and raised in Collingsworth County. She graduated from Wellington High School and attended LVN school. She moved to Plainview in 1946 and worked at the old Plainview hospital, Central Plains Hospital, Medical Center and Hi-Plains Hospital. She retired in 1991 and did private home-care nursing. Mrs. Autry was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, College Heights Baptist Church and the Joanna Sunday School class. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Jean McCauley of Frankston; three sons, Jerry Murry of Plainview, Bud B. Cason of Amite, La., and John Cason of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. Robert Martin Trainham STRATFORD - Robert Martin "R.M." Trainham, 71, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Metzger, pastor, and Jim Taliaferro, family friend, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Trainham was born in Seymour and had been a Stratford resident all of his life. He was a farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Trainham married Grace Kyle in 1982 at Las Vegas. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Billye Zak and Roxie Newcomb, both of Stratford, and Evelyn Malaney of Cimarron, N.M.; two sons, Terry Kyle of Dumas and Butch Ellison of Stratford; his mother, Lottie Trainham of Springer, N.M.; a brother, Destry Trainham of Raton, N.M.; a sister, Billie Frank Litteral of Springer; and 10 grandchildren. He was a boiler operator for 11 years for Holly Sugar Co. He was a member of Lutheran Immanuel Church. He married Karma Hall in 1986 at Hereford. Louie Koehn TEXLINE - Louie Koehn, 71, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church with the Rev. Stanley Unruh officiating. Burial will be in Texline Mennonite Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home Inc. of Dalhart. Mr. Koehn was born and raised in McPhearson, Kan. He owned and operated a Purina feed business in Burns, Kan., before moving to Texline in 1976. While in Texline, he operated a feed and ranch business until retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church. He married Florence Nightingale in 1948 at Chickasha, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two sons, DeVon Koehn of Texline and Warren Koehn of Waynesboro, Va.; two daughters, Shirley Becker of Texline and Gayla Koehn of Hartley; five brothers, Arthur Koehn of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Arnold Koehn of Newton, Kan., Kenneth Koehn of James Port, Mo., Chester Koehn of Walker, Mo., and Willard Koehn of Phoenix; five sisters, Norma Mastre of Galva, Kan., Vesta Koehn of Rich Hill, Mo., Doris Koehn of Hillsboro, Kan., Bernice Nichols of Isabella, Okla., and Vada Boyer of Lindsborg, Kan.; and 15 grandchildren. Amarillo B Mae Allen B Mae Allen, 78, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, in Arvada, Colo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with Dr. John B. Bridwell, minister emeritus, and Dr. Ron Sumter, interim minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Allen was born in Beckham, Okla., and had been a longtime Amarillo resident. She graduated from Erick High School at Erick, Okla., in 1937, and from the University of Oklahoma in 1943. She was a member of First Christian Church and served as secretary at the church from 1961 until 1985. She married Wayne Mitchell Allen in 1944. He died in 1961. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Allen and Kristy Riley, both of Arvada, and Kathy Saunders of McLean, Va. Canyon Ruth Foster Ruth Foster, 76, of Canyon, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Deckard, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church of Canyon, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Foster was born in Tulia. She moved from Tulia to Canyon in 1938. She worked at Foster's Laundry in Canyon for 30 years and at Borden's during the war. She had been a school crossing guard for Rex Reeves Elementary School. She was a member of the Amarillo Women's Bowling Association. Survivors include a sister, Juanita Warwick of Canyon. New Mexico Maurine Chumbley Briggs CLOVIS, N.M. - Maurine Chumbley Briggs, 78, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Portales Cemetery at Portales with the Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Briggs was born in Delphos and had lived in Portales for many years. She lived in Chama until the death of her husband, Don F. Briggs. She then returned to Clovis. She was a volunteer in several organizations and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She served as the first woman on a federal grand jury in New Mexico. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Mager of Las Lunas and Donna Trollinger of Clovis; a brother, Lynn F. Chumbley of Kingston, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1613 Bosc Court in Clovis. Oklahoma Lena Farris ADAMS, Okla. - Lena Farris, 101, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, in Liberal, Kan. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Mennonite Cemetery, near Adams, with the Rev. John Goss of Adams Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker. Mrs. Farris was born in Marion, Kan., and moved to Adams with her family in 1906. She attended Mennonite Brethren Church, near Adams, and later attended a Baptist church. She married Daniel Martens in 1914, and in 1939, she moved to California. In 1941, she married H.L. Farris. He died in 1976. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She lived in California for 53 years before moving back to Liberal in 1992. Mrs. Farris also was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Partridge, and a stepdaughter, Laura Huley. Survivors include two daughters, Geneva Stebens of Adams and Maxine Hitchcock of Guymon; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a greatgreat-grandson; and three stepgrandsons. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Eastview Cemetery at Vernon, Texas. Arrangements are by Hackney-Gish Funeral Home of Hobart. Mrs. Lovan was born in Vernon. She lived in Hereford, Texas, until a year ago, when she moved to Durant. She moved to Gotebo in December. She was an insurance agent in Hereford. She was Methodist. Survivors include a son, Paul Lovan of Durant; three sisters, Marjorie George and Jo Hardy, both of Amarillo, and Frankie Holloway of Abilene, Texas; and two stepgrandchildren. Harry Reimer BALKO, Okla. - Harry Reimer, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Perryton, Texas, with the Rev. Ted Latham officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mr. Reimer was born in Balko and had lived in the Balko area all of his life. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church of Perryton. He had been a deacon in the church for many years. He was a supporter of the Perryton High School athletic program, the FFA and the Ochiltree County 4-H Club. Mr. Reimer married Eula Copeland in 1942 at Perryton. She died in 1982. He married Caroline Janzen in 1989 at Balko. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Judith Reimer of Leucadia, Calif., and Connie Reimer-Cobb of Spring, Texas; a son, Roger Reimer of Perryton; a sister, Wilma Kliewer of Newton, Kan.; three stepsons, Dave Janzen of Sioux Falls, S.D., Merlin Janzen of Balko and Bruce Janzen of Perryton; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. LaJoyce Griggs KENTON, Okla. - LaJoyce Griggs, 51, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. (MST) Wednesday in Kenton Community Building with the Rev. Selma R. Cullop, pastor of Kenton United Methodist Church, the Rev. L. Dean Cullop and the Rev. Galen Smith officiating. Burial will be in Kenton Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, N.M. Mrs. Griggs was born in Turlock, Calif. She was raised in Duncan and was a 1965 graduate of Duncan High School. She married Louis Allan Griggs in 1965 at Duncan. She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. After her husband's military service in Fort Polk, La., she worked at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. In 1970, they moved to Norman, where she was president of the Engineers Wives' Club. They moved to Pearisburg, Va., where she was active with the Giles County Little Theater. After spending two years in Houston, Texas, they lived in Abqaiq and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. In 1986, they moved to Kenton and started a vineyard. After living in Greeley, Colo., St. Louis, Woodward and Tahlequah, they moved back to Kenton in 1993. They had owned and operated the Kenton Mercantile Co. since that time. Mrs. Griggs was a member of Kenton United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Aric Griggs of Muskogee; two daughters, Andrea Bell and Misty Trapp, both of Tahlequah; her parents, J.W. and Addie Voyles of Harlingen, Texas; a brother, Jerry Voyles of Tahlequah; four grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. Elsewhere Dusty Ardel Ham HOUSTON - Dusty Ardel Ham, 58, a former longtime Amarillo resident, died Feb. 22, 1998. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Tallowood Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Spencer, pastor of First Baptist Church of Brady, and the Rev. Brad Ham of Aspen, Colo., officiating. Mr. Ham was born in Groom. He lived in Amarillo several years before moving to Houston. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1957. He was voted the most valuable basketball player at Palo Duro High and also was named Mr. Palo Duro, both in 1957. He attended Amarillo College, where he also played basketball. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1962. Mr. Ham was a member of First Baptist Church of Brady. He married Doris Dell Myers in 1958 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kileen Ham of the home; a son, Derek Ham of Los Angeles; and a brother, Dale Ham of Amarillo. The family requests memorials be to hospice at the Texas Medical Center, 1905 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030 Kathleen Elizabeth Webster GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Kathleen Elizabeth Webster, 94, a former Amarillo resident, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998. Services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Mrs. Webster was born in Alamogordo, N.M. She married Ernest W. Webster in 1924 at Amarillo. They lived in Amarillo all of their married life. Mr. Webster died in 1969. Mrs. Webster lived in Grass Valley, Calif., and in Grand Junction until her death. Survivors include two sons, Kent Webster of Grand Junction and Brien Webster of Grass Valley; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A.S. Tooley VERNON - A.S. "Pat" Tooley, 90, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wilbarger Street Church of Christ with Kevin Ward officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery by Sullivan Funeral Home. Mr. Tooley was born in Odell. He had been a Vernon and Odell resident for many years. He was a retired Wilbarger county commissioner and a member of Wilbarger Street Church of Christ in Vernon. He married Sarah F. Weaver in 1929 at Clovis, N.M. She died in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Holloway of Amarillo; a son, Wendell Tooley of Pflugerville; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
