Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with the Rev. Robert Fields of Southeast Baptist Church in Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mr. Bloxom was born in Memphis. He farmed in the Memphis area until 1948 when he became employed as a tractor mechanic. He moved to Amarillo in 1955. He married Lucille Evans in 1932 at Hollis, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Albert Lee Bloxom Jr., in 1951 and by a daughter, Joyce Ray, in 1981. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Juanita Shoemaker and Carol Bremer, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Pearl Duke of Gallup, N.M., and Louella Phillips of Albuquerque, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment. Bobbie Rae Goodwin Bobbie Rae Goodwin, 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, May 23, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Walt Ellis, pastor of Forest Hill Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Womack, La., and had been an Amarillo resident for 50 years. She graduated from Dumas High School. She had been employed as salad manager for Hageman's Cafeteria for many years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married C.M. "Mike" Goodwin in 1958 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a brother, Durward Johnson of Dumas; and a sister, Ruth Pannier of Amarillo. The family will be at 2321 Larry. They request memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, Texas, 79109; or to a favorite charity. Vernice W. Mincy Vernice W. "Bernie" Mincy of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 24, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with Lynn Camp, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Mincy was born in Sulphur Springs and had been an Amarillo resident since 1952. She was a homemaker and member of Southwest Church of Christ. She was a volunteer for many years for the Y.W.C.A. and the Y-Teens. Survivors include her husband, R.C. Mincy; two sons, Wayne Mincy and Dwain Mincy, both of Glendale, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. They request memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, 11461 S. Western, Amarillo, Texas, 79118; or to a favorite charity. Oklahoma Eugene Toney SHADY POINT, Okla. - Eugene "Gene" Toney, 58, a former resident of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 24, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evans and Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Allen Kersh officiating. Burial will be in Shady Point Cemetery in Shady Point. Mr. Toney was born in Spiro. He was a carpenter, a Mason and was a former employee of Perry Cates Construction of Amarillo. He was a member of the Amarillo Masonic Lodge No. 731. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Toney of Amarillo; two daughters, Laura Karis of Oak Grove, Calif., and Diedra Tomlason of San Jose, Calif.; two sons, John Toney of San Jose and Shane Toney of Fritch; two stepsons, Jack Hayes of Amarillo and Steven Hayes of Hollister, Calif.; his mother, Opal Toney of Shady Point; two brothers, Wayne Toney of Shady Point and Charles Toney of Muldrow; six grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
