Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memphis United Pentecostal Church with Rick Musick officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Phelps was born and raised in Memphis where she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. She married Daris Phelps in 1935 at Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969, and by a son, Darrell Phelps, in 1966. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Phelps of Bonham and David Phelps of Memphis; a daughter, Jaunita Freelen of Dodd City; two brothers, Sammy Bradley of Pampa and J.C. Bradley; two sisters, Minnie Richards of Gordonville and Billie Jo Dye of Chickasha, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Florene Lois Fitzgerald SILVERTON - Florene Lois Fitzgerald, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Rock Creek Church of Christ with J.D. Nance and Elton Cantwell officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Silverton. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of the Rock Creek Church of Christ, Rock Creek Quilting Club and had been a member of the Home Demonstration Club. She married Wayland Fitzgerald in 1934 at Clarendon. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991 and by a daughter, Shirley Durham, in 1996. Survivors include a son, Guinn Fitzgerald of Silverton; a daughter, Betty Breedlove of College Station; a sister, Nelda Teeple of Silverton; a brother, Merle J. Montague of Fort Collins, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Rock Creek Church of Christ. Ethel Mary Helton Boone DUMAS - Ethel Mary Helton Boone, 91, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church in Sunray with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Boone was born in Jefferson City, Mo. She had been a Sunray resident since 1943 and moved to Dumas in 1992. For several years, she was a nursery worker for Sunray Baptist Church. Mrs. Boone was a charter member of First United Methodist Church in Sunray. She was a homemaker. She married Leeroy Boone in 1925 at Sayre, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1954, by a daughter, Nancy Lee Boone, in 1939 and by two sons, Boyd "Boog" Boone in 1962 and Albert Boone in 1974. Survivors include two daughters, Nell Cooper of Dumas and Joann Brewster of Canadian; a brother, Tom Helton of Wheeler; and a sister, Eunice Edwards of Wheeler; nine grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; and a great-greatgranddaughter. Second, Dumas, TX 79029. Katherine Taylor PLAINVIEW - Katherine Taylor, 70, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Alice Catholic Church of Plainview with the Rev. Jim McCartney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Ms. Taylor was born and raised in Plainview. She graduated from Plainview High School and Nicholls State University with a teaching degree. She taught in public and Catholic schools in Thibodaux, La. Ms. Taylor was a Catholic. In 1995, she moved to the Care Inn in Plainview. Survivors include two sons, Mike Toups and Garry Toups, both of Thibodaux; three brothers, Phillip Taylor of Lubbock, Kent Taylor of Plainview and Robert Taylor of Amarillo; two sisters, Doris Payne of Dallas and Imogene Kelly of Guymon, Okla.; and five grandchildren. Sue Ann Balzer SPEARMAN - Sun Ann Balzer, 54, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Union Church with the Rev. Johnny Taylor, pastor of Trinity Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mrs. Balzer was born in Hobbs, N.M., and had lived in Spearman for 32 years. In 1992, she married Delbert Balzer at Spearman. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Kimy Roberts and Stanley Roberts, both of Dallas, Chris Taylor of Spearman and Kirby Taylor of Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Susan Gilpin of Dallas and Amber Balzer of the home; a stepson, Rhett Balzer of Perryton; her mother and stepfather, Thelma and Tom Moshier of Hot Springs; a brother, Bobby Parker of Hot Springs; a sister, Wyona Owens of Hot Springs; her grandmother, Pearl Nalley of Redlands, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice, 707 Roland St., Spearman, TX 79081. Amarillo Ken Hillier Ken Hillier, 70, of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Bob Schroeder of Paramount Terrace Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hillier was born in Amarillo where he was a lifelong resident. He attended West Texas State College and was an Army veteran. He had been the owner of John's Radiator Shop, Expressway 66 Service Station and for the past 30 years, Ken Hillier Auto Parts and Ice Co. Mr. Hillier was a former member of the Professional Bowlers Association and was inducted into the Amarillo Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1995. He married Dannie Faust in 1955 at Las Vegas. She died in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Regina Loveall of Amarillo; a son, Lynn Hillier of Amarillo; a brother, Charlie Hillier of Canyon; and a grandson. The family will be at 7000 Andover. They request memorials be to a favorite charity or organization. New Mexico Loma V. Love CLOVIS, N.M. - Loma V. Love, 64, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Brown and the Rev. Gene Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Love was born in Lovington. She was a school teacher and taught in Lovington for 15 years, for two years in South Albuquerque and for five years at Clovis High School, where she taught English. She was retired. She was a member of and taught the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class at Central Baptist Church and also was involved with the Portales Baptist Children's Home. Survivors include her husband, Royce; two daughters, Crystal Kennedy of Albuquerque and Lori Hagen of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Nina Lytle of Las Cruces, Erma Bobak of Independence, Mo., and Geneva Lemons of Muleshoe, Texas; and two grandchildren. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be to the Plains Regional Medical Center Hospice, 1600 W. 21st, Clovis; or Portales Baptist Children's Home. Ray L. Hale CLOVIS, N.M. - Ray L. Hale, 69, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Scott officiating. Burial will be in Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland. Mr. Hale was born in Clovis and served in the Army in the late 1940s. He was a self-employed telephone technician. He married Lois Ware in 1984 at Midland, Texas. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deborah Hale of Lake Ridge, Va.; three stepdaughters, Selena Strebeck of Clovis, Berniece Poldrak of Midland and Jana Clements of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren. Elsewhere Frank F. Loveday BONNEY LAKE, Wash. - Frank F. Loveday, 50, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Price-Helton Funeral Chapel in Auburn, Wash. Burial with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. today in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Mr. Loveday was born and raised in Amarillo where he lived until 1969. In 1991, he retired after 23 years in the Navy and was employed by Fritz. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Luzviminda; two daughters, Keiko Loveday of Amarillo and Jennilou Loveday of Bonney Lake; a stepdaughter, Annie Lou Liam of Bonney Lake; his mother, Lois Loveday of Amarillo; a sister, Jana Cross of Amarillo; two brothers, Keith Loveday and Doyce Loveday, both of Amarillo; and two grandsons.
