Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in West Park Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ted Taylor and the Rev. Jesse Hodge officiating. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel. Mr. Washington was born in Muleshoe. He moved to Hereford in 1967. He retired in 1997 after 21 years employment by Frito-Lay. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He married Ann Rutherford in 1963. Survivors include his wife; a son, Lee Washington of Waco; two brothers, Arnold Washington of Spring Lake and George Washington of Hedley; a sister, Peggy Dannecker of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren. L.A. Meathenia PAMPA - L.A. Meathenia, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Albert Maggard, pastor of First Pentecostal Holiness, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Meathenia was born in Kelton and had been a Pampa resident since 1948. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He retired in 1986 as an operator for Cabot R & D. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness. He married Viola Weiss in 1942 at Wichita Falls. She died in 1994. He was preceded in death by a son, Frank David, and a daughter, Cecilia Ann Meathenia. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Coombes and Rita Ellis, both of Pampa; a brother, Kenneth Meathenia of Bloomfield, N.M.; a sister, Bonnie Schaub of Pampa; three grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Church of Christ in Groom with the Rev. Scott Barton of Calvary Assembly of God in Pampa and Dale Meadows of the Church of Christ in Groom officiating. Burial will be in Groom Cemetery at Groom by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St., in Amarillo. Mr. Adcox was born in Lakeview. He served with the Armored Cavalry during World War II. He worked for many years for Rock Island Railroad. After retiring, he worked for several restaurants in Groom. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Groom. He attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Pampa. Mr. Adcox was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Adcox, in 1983. He married Loraine Ingram in 1985 at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; four stepdaughters, Vonnie Barker of Groom, Billie J. Williams of Kemp, Sherrye June King of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Marlene Wyant of Pampa; three stepsons, Dannia Howerton of Miami, Raymond Self of Dalhart and Thomas Self Foster of Arlington; 34 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren. Miss Clemmons was born in Pampa and was a longtime resident. She moved to California in 1960 and returned to Pampa in 1991. She attended First Pentecostal Holiness. Survivors include two sisters, Betty Gage of Pampa and Ruby Jones of McLean; and two brothers, Lester Clemmons of Lubbock and Woodrow Clemmons of Albuquerque. Mr. Coursey was born in Texline. He had lived in Amarillo since 1930 and moved to Dumas in 1995. He retired as an auto collision repairman. He married Maxine Parks in 1978. She preceded him in death in 1996. Survivors include a son, Luther V. Coursey of Rosharon; two daughters, Jeanne Ierley of Elizabethtown, Pa., and Sharron Reinert of Dumas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will be at 124 El Paso in Dumas. Clint Felix Honnol HEREFORD - Clint Felix Honnol, 92, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Kings Manor Lamar Room with the Rev. Marty Hamrick, associate pastor of Polk United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford. Mr. Honnol was born in Claude. He moved to Brownwood in 1920 where he attended high school. He trained as a linotype operator in New Orleans. He had been employed by various newspapers for more than 50 years. He moved to Hereford in 1992. Mr. Honnol was a charter member of the Central United Methodist Church in Brownwood and served on the board of stewards. He was secretary of the United Methodist Men's Fellowship and a member of the Friendly Fellows Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Lions Club in Early and the Brownwood Historical Society. He married Ethel Davis in 1928. Survivors include his wife; a son, Clint B. Honnol of Amarillo; a daughter, Nancy Ferguson of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Wade Hampton Parsley GUYMON, Okla. - Wade Hampton Parsley, 89, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Hugghins,music minister of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mr. Parsley was born in Waldo, Ark. He moved to Guymon from St. Louis in 1955. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Coast Guard from 1941 until 1945. Mr. Parsley was employed as a sales representative for Nall Tire Company prior to employment by Adams Hardfacing for more than 11 years. He retired in 1976. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Guymon Lodge, No. 335 AF&AM. He married Rita Davidson in 1945 at Seattle. She died in 1988. Survivors include a sister, Jean Jones of Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, P.W."George" Parsley of Anaheim, Calif.; and a special friend, Dick Jackson of Guymon. She was a homemaker and member of the Apostolic Faith. She married Harlan Clarke in 1930 at Meade, Kan. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Marvin Clarke of Amarillo and Leroy Clarke of Santa Fe, N.M.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. Claudia Ester Conger Claudia Ester Conger, 90, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998. She was a homemaker and member of the Congenial Couples Sunday School Class at the First Christian Church. She married Ben Conger in 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983 and a son, Billy Vaughn Conger, in 1928. Survivors include a son, Darrell W. Conger of Amarillo; a daughter, Joyce Elaine Thomas of Amarillo; a sister, Georgia Porter of Amarillo; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Assembly of God. She married Ralph Washburn in 1982 at Amarillo. He died in 1992. Survivors include four sisters, Shirley Nichols and Sue Hernandez, both of Amarillo, and Dorothy Bondilie and Margie Bowers, both of California; three brothers, Max Bowers, Mike Bowers and Jerry Bowers, all of California; her mother, Irene Allen of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Jennifer Chinea of Amarillo; and a grandson, Trey Allen Bledsoe of Amarillo. She had lived in Sudan since moving from Muleshoe in 1987. She had previously lived in Texline. Mrs. Stewart graduated from Clarendon High School in 1957 and Northwest Texas School of Nursing in 1960. She was employed as a registered nurse for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clarendon. She married Donnie Stewart in 1963 at Clarendon. Survivors include her husband; a son, Casey Stewart of Sudan; a daughter, DonDee Ann Stewart of Sudan; and three sisters, Linda George, Billie Kay Fleming and Johnnie Potts, all of Amarillo. New Mexico John Jim Moralez CLOVIS, N.M. - John Jim Moralez, 52, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in The Chapel at 1500 Thornton. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in The Chapel with Lupe Marquez and Victor Caballero officiating. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Moralez was born in Dalhart, Texas, and attended school in Logan. He had lived in the Clovis area since 1970. He had been employed as a truck driver by Warner Enterprises. He was a Catholic. He married Coy Burks in 1972 at Guymon, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Leona Daw of Albuquerque; three sons, Jimmy Moralez of Logan, and Troy Moralez and Chad Moralez, both of Clovis; a brother, Lawrence Moralez of Clovis; five sisters, Lou Gallegos of Tucumcari, Sylvis Lira of Muleshoe, Texas, and Helen Gallegos, Clara Vigil and Priscilla Garcia, all of Clovis; and a granddaughter. Eddie Davis CLOVIS, N.M. - Eddie Davis, 85, of Allen, Texas, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in 4th and Cameo Church of Christ in Clovis with Waymon Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Texico Cemetery in Texico by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was born in Hendrix, Okla. He was a longtime Clovis resident who moved to Texas eight years ago. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a truck driver by Willard & Smith Trucking. He married Mary Davis in 1933 at Sapulpa, Okla. She preceded him in death. Survivors include four sons, LeRoy Davis of Toledo, Ohio, Charles Davis of Las Vegas, and Eddie Ray Davis and Willie Earl Davis, both of Los Angeles; four daughters, Doris Torrant and Catherine Butler, both of Allen, and Lois Stark and Joyce Field, both of Los Angeles; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
