Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Terry Tamplen of Kingswood United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Bohensky was born in Dumas and had been a longtime resident of Amarillo. She graduated from Palo Duro High School and from West Texas State University with a bachelor of arts degree in teaching. She was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Casie Anne Bohensky of Amarillo; a son, Michael Bohensky of San Angelo; her parents, Bill and Jean Baker of Amarillo; a brother, Randall Baker of Manassas, Va.; and a grandchild. Charles W. Graves Charles "Rucker" W. Graves, 64, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 21, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. B.F. Roberts Jr., pastor, and the Rev. James M. Mims, pastor of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Mr. Graves was born in Memphis and attended Morningside High School there. He worked for Crowe Gulde Cement Co. and the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He also was a part-time taxi driver for Bob's Taxi. Survivors include a daughter, Genetter Fay Graves of Amarillo; three sons, Rickey Ray Graves, Charles Douglas Graves and Steven D. Bell, all of Amarillo; three sisters, Mary Nell Levi, Annie Ruth Asberry and Alice M. Fisher, all of Amarillo; and a brother, Willie Graves of Los Angeles. Birtha J. Yule Birtha J. Yule, 75, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with Bishop William J. Boswell of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Yule was born in Elida, N.M. She moved to Amarillo in 1975 from Carlsbad, N.M. She retired from Northwest Texas Hospital, where she had worked in medical records. Survivors include four sons, Rickey Yule and Edwin Yule, both of Amarillo, Gerald Yule of Ohio and Warren Yule of Dallas; a daughter, Vonnie Skaar of Illinois; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Toni Marie McGowan Toni Marie McGowan, 50, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 22, 1998. Miss McGowan had been a lifelong resident of Amarillo. She was a PBX operator for Amarillo Relay. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include her father and stepmother, William Preston and Nell McGowan of Arlington; and friends, Judy Walter, Sean Hodge and Barbara Hodge, all of Amarillo. New Mexico Louie Frankie Bell PORTALES, N.M. - Louie Frankie Bell, 60, died Monday, March 23, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Dr. Philip Fike officiating. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales Inc. Mr. Bell was born in Jackson, Tenn., and was raised in Humboldt, Tenn. In 1958, he graduated from North Side High School, where he played football and set several records that still stand. After graduating, he moved with his family to Portales. He later moved to Farmington, where he worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. In 1960, he married Syble Keim. He was drafted into the Army and served for two years. After his discharge, he returned to Farmington and continue working for the phone company. While living in Farmington, Mr. Bell was a member and a deacon of First Baptist Church and later at Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a sponsor for Royal Ambassadors at the church. He married Linda Ward in 1993 at Portales. He continued to live in Farmington until retiring in 1994 after 36 years with the phone company. He moved to Portales, where he helped in a family owned flower business. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Randy K. Bell of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Reggie L. Bell of Aztec and Tye Bell of Albuquerque; a daughter, Shelly D. Bell of Chalmette, La.; two stepsons, Bryan Johnston of Albuquerque and Mark Dillard of Portales; a stepdaughter, Sandra Buzzard of Portales; two brothers, Dennis Harris of Dallas and John Stegall of Portales; two sisters, Rena Olene Clark of Portales and Louise Boyd of Spencer, Ind.; and five grandchildren. Clayton Fowler PORTALES, N.M. - Clayton Fowler, 65, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Hoyt Welch and the Rev. Roy Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery. Mr. Fowler was born in House and moved to Dunlap at an early age. In 1936, he moved to Floyd, where he lived until 1977, when he moved to Portales. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Association and Emmanuel Baptist Church. He worked at his brother's dairy. Survivors include a brother, Marvin Fowler of Portales; and two sisters, Bertha Gregory of Portales and Fayrene Peipelman of Houston, Texas. Charlotte Marie Manion TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Charlotte Marie Manion, 80, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998. Cremation has occurred. Memorial services will be at a later date by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Manion was born in Oklahoma and had lived in Tucumcari for the past 121/2 years. She moved to Tucumcari from Garieta. She was a retired beautician. Her husband, Neal Douglas Manion, died in 1995. Survivors include a sister, Wanda Linebarger of Weed, Calif. Elsewhere LaVerne Goldine Rudd EDNA - LaVerne Goldine Rudd, 85, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Gilbert officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Englewood Cemetery at Slaton. Arrangements are by Slavik Funeral Home. Mrs. Rudd was born in Quanah. She was a retired hairdresser. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She married Bernerd LaFayette Rudd in 1932 at Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Barnadine Bullock of Durango, Colo., and Rhonda Killough of Edna; a son, James Killough of Edna; three sisters, Bess May of Fort Sumner, N.M., Lois Monroe of Arizona and Gaynelle McCormick of Amarillo; a brother, Kenneth McCormick of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A.D. Strebeck STEPHENVILLE - A.D. Strebeck, 81, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Mill Cemetery. Mr. Strebeck was born in Clarks, La. He was a former Amarillo resident. He lived in Stephenville from 1946 to 1955. He moved back to Stephenville in 1996. He was a highway construction contractor. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Strebeck married Iris Nell Ake in 1933 at Ozona. Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Strebeck of Amarillo; a daughter, Mary Nell Strebeck of Stephenville; a brother, Ben Strebeck of San Angelo; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Alzheimer's Association. Barbara Francis Mixon DALLAS - Barbara Francis Mixon, 62, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998. A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Restland Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Richard Howard officiating. Arrangements are by Metro Crest Funeral Home. Mrs. Mixon was born in Dalhart. She served 13 years as program director for the Covenant Presbyterian Church Mother's Day Out in Carrollton. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Richard Gayle Mixon of Farmers Branch; her children, Brad Mixon of Irving, Mike Mixon of Lake Kiowa, Lisa Mixon of Farmers Branch, and Todd Mixon and Alane Welch, both of Dallas; a brother, Jim Nichols of Poulsbo, Wash.; and five grandchildren. Oklahoma Dr. George William Schultz OKLAHOMA CITY - Dr. George William "Bill" Schultz, 74, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hahn-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Higgins, Texas. Dr. Schultz was born in Shattuck. He graduated from Shattuck High School and attended Oklahoma A&M University and Colorado State College. In 1946, he graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine, where he played basketball and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Dr. Schultz served as a lieutenant in the Armed Services, stationed in San Francisco. He was separated from the service in 1948 and was appointed captain in the Veterinary Corps Reserves. Dr. Schultz spent many years ranching and farming in western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. He was actively involved in the oil and gas business in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Hall Schultz. Survivors include two sons, George William Schultz Jr. of Coppell, Texas, and Jeffrey Patton Schultz of Edgemont, S.D.; a daughter, Sally Jo Swenk of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Mary Katherine of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Janet Wiley of Follett, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Jerry Norman Schultz of Denver and Mark Schultz of Oak Glen, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and friend, A. Kathryn Westbury. Area J.L. Bell HEREFORD - J.L. Bell, 80, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Quin Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Bell was born in Copperas Cove. He married Ona Ho-Glandon in 1940. They moved to Hereford from Roaring Springs in 1940. He worked for Care Perrin, Hereford Butane and Tip Top Oil Co. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Bell of Amarillo; two daughters, Gloria Keahey and Patricia Wall, both of Amarillo; a sister, Genevia Sims of Alvord; a brother, Hulan Bell of Benbrook; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Don Clanton PLAINVIEW - Don Clanton, 55, of Niles, Mich., a former Plainview resident, died Saturday, March 21, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Stan Howse, pastor of Unity Church of Lake Whitney, officiating. Mr. Clanton was born in Plainview. He graduated from high school in Channing and attended West Texas State University and Panhandle A&M in Guymon, Okla. He moved to Plainview in 1962 and worked with his dad, Dorman Henry Clanton, at the Quick Lunch. In 1964, he began working for the Plainview Fire Department. Mr. Clanton then went to South Plains Junior College and received an associate's degree in fire science. He was the assistant fire chief in Plainview for several years until retiring in 1993. He married his wife, Anna, in 1967 at Plainview. He was a member of Unity Church of Lubbock. In 1996, Mr. Clanton moved to Niles, where he worked for Electro Voice Audio Co. Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Don Clanton of Buchanan, Mich.; a sister, Dorma Neel of Hale Center; and two granddaughters. Cleo Clower PADUCAH - Cleo Clower, 93, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Peckham, pastor, and Dr. Tilden Armstrong, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Clower was born in Snyder, Okla., and had been a resident of Paducah since 1926. She worked as a telephone operator and later as a railway express agent. She also had operated a record store and worked as a department store clerk. She worked for the Paducah Housing Authority. In 1978, she was honored with a citation from Gov. Clements and President Carter for her work with the Paducah Senior Citizens Organization. Mrs. Clower had been a member of First United Methodist Church since 1926. She married J.D. Clower in 1926 at Paducah. He died in 1981. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Jumper, in 1991. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Blankinship of Paducah, Coleta Elliott of Lincoln, Ark., and Teresa Waddell of Arlington; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-greatgrandchildren. Thelma Daniel HEREFORD - Thelma Daniel, 86, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Ed Warren officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Ms. Daniel was born in Bedford, Iowa, and moved to Hereford when she was young. She was a florist at a local flower shop for more than 15 years. Survivors include a daughter, Patty Duncun of Hereford; a stepdaughter, Susie Curtsinger of Hereford; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
