Watson MEMPHIS - Frances L. "Granny" Watson, 90, died on Saturday, July 25, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Memphis with Tom Anderson, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Watson was born in Blossom. She moved to Hall County in 1926 with her family. She was a homemaker and a nurses' aide. She belonged to the Church of Christ. She married S.J. "Jack" Watson in 1928 at Lakeview. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Herman Watson; a sister, Louise Taylor; and by two grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Katherine Sargent and Effie Murray, both of Memphis, and Carrie Schuessler of Clarendon; three sons, Dorris Watson and Doyle Watson, both of Memphis, and Sammy Watson of Lakeview; a sister, Dollie Adkins of Paris, Texas; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Fairview Cemetery Association or to the Church of Christ. Revellah Turner Hooper TULIA - Revellah Turner Hooper, 89, died Sunday, July 26, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Travis LaDuke, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hooper was born in Wilbarger County. She attended school in the Hullahan Community northeast of Quanah before graduating from Silverton High School. She attended business college in Plainview, moving with her husband to New Mexico in 1936 and to the Kress area in 1941. Mrs. Hooper moved north of Tulia in 1947. She became a resident in 1978. She was a homemaker and also had worked for Joy Grocery in Tulia. She had been associated with Calvary Baptist Church of Tulia since 1953. She married Ben F. Hooper in 1930 at Tulia. He died in 1974. Survivors include a daughter, Rita Dobbs; three sons, Bobby Hooper of Battle Mountain, Nev., Joe Hooper of Plainview and Frank Hooper of Pampa; a brother, Robert Turner of Tulia; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger with Dan Moser, Reader of the Church of Christ, Scientist, of Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Cartee was born in Charlie. She was employed by the federal government for 17 years, working in Baltimore, Lubbock, Clovis, N.M., and Amarillo. Since 1973, she had been a resident of Pampa. She worked for the Army Air Field in Pampa and later for the A.A. Meredith Municipal Water Authority in Borger. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Scientist. She married Ellis Cartee in 1947 at Dumas. He died in 1979. She was also preceded in death by a son, Pate Lester, and three grandsons. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Nan Mercer of Pampa and Helen Sample of Laredo; seven grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Rush was born in Beaver County, Okla. She had lived in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles for many years, moving to Pampa in 1960. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Wells Street Church of Christ and the Golden Spread Doll Club of Amarillo. She married Leslie Rush in 1933 at Booker. He died in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Marquetta Joiner of Pampa and RoeJean Dixon of Masterson; two sons, Travis Rush of Masterson and Jerry Rush of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. C.L. Mooney SUDAN - C.L. Mooney, 54, died Saturday, July 25, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Sudan Cemetery with Terry Wilson, minister of Sudan Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Sudan Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Mooney was born in Lubbock. In 1948 he moved to Sudan, where he attended school. He was a farmer. Survivors include his mother, Parrie Lee Mooney of Sudan; a sister, Elaine Nickels of Littlefield; and three brothers, Clifton D. Rodell Byers WELLINGTON - Rodell Byers, 77, died Saturday, July 25, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jim Ikner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mr. Byers was born at Paris, Texas. In 1936 he moved to Hollis, Okla. During World War II he served with the Army in the Pacific, receiving two Purple Hearts. Mr. Byers was a farmer for 33 years. Since 1985 he had been employed as maintenance superintendent at Collingsworth General Hospital. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He was Sunday School superintendent for 20 years and served on the church's board of trustees for more than 30 years. He married Dorothy Gibbs in 1939 in Collingsworth County. He was preceded in death by a grandson. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Davis of Wellington; a sister, Beulah Byers of Wellington; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Samnorwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Driver of Hull and Gordon Doughtry of Samnorwood officiating. Interment will be in Plymouth Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Oldham was born in Collingsworth County. He served in the Navy during World War II. Until his retirement in 1990, he farmed in the Plymouth Community in Collingsworth County. He was a member of Samnorwood Baptist Church. Mr. Oldham married Jeuniau Nelta "Nena" Webb in 1942 at Sayre, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pat Page of Moorwood, Okla., and Rosa Carter of Lutie; a brother, Elmer Oldham of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was employed by Tyler Cable Company for two years and by TCA Cable of Amarillo for 27 years. He was a Methodist. Amarillo Kira Patience Quintana Kira Patience Quintana, 7-month-old daughter of Jeremy and Anita Quintana of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 25, 1998. She was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Antonio Quintana. New Mexico Louise Dunshee LOGAN, N.M. - Louise Dunshee, 80, died Saturday, July 25, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Logan with the Rev. Jerry Dodson, Baptist minister from Louisiana, officiating. Burial will be in Logan Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mrs. Dunshee was born in Park Springs, Texas. Her family moved to Porter, N.M., where she graduated from the Porter School System. In 1946 she moved to Tucumcari. Since 1972 she had lived in Logan. She was a homemaker. She was a Methodist. She married Garland Guest. He died in 1946. In 1949 she married B.L. "Red" Dunshee. He died in 1979. Survivors include a daughter, Nita Holman of Logan; two sons, Lebert Guest of Tucumcari and Gary Dunshee of Alpine, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Newberry of Brownwood, Texas; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Elsewhere Imogene Northcutt VERNON - Imogene Northcutt, 68, died Saturday, July 25, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Dossett officiating. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery. Mrs. Northcutt was born in Batesville, Ark. As a child she lived in McLean, moving to Vernon in 1956. She was a retired owner of Vernon Truck Stop and Town House Restaurant. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in McLean. She married Chester Northcutt in 1955 at Vernon. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Roy Dale Morris of Dinosaur, Colo., and Jimmy Northcutt of Electra; three brothers, Vaughn Smith of Amarillo, Ford Smith of McLean and Fred Noble Smith Jr. of Canyonville, Ore. ; a sister, Geraldine West of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.
