Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. John Valdez, pastor. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Luna was born in Rocksprings and had lived in Pampa the past 18 years. He was a self-employed painter and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He married Janie Martinez in 1973 at Plainview. He was preceded in death by a son, Mario Luna Jr., in 1992. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Burt Luna of Pampa and Robert Luna of Amarillo; two daughters, Tamra Luna and Emalie Luna, both of Pampa; five sisters, Olivia Luna, Consulo Rodriquez, Maria Harlin and Blunca Sanmiguel, all of Pampa and Paula Hernandez of Wichita Falls; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Carmen Ramirez QUANAH - Carmen Ramirez, 73, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998, at Vernon. Mass will be said at 3 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by PriceJackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Ramirez was born in Calvert. She moved to Quanah from Indiana 22 years ago. She was a homemaker and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She married Macedonia Ramirez at Lubbock. He died in 1994. Survivors include two sons, Carlos Ramirez of Altus, Okla., and John Ramirez of Lubbock; six daughters, Guadalupe Gonzalez of Stockton, Calif., Carolina Sanchez, Delia Martinez and Connie Zambrano, all of Vernon, and Carmen Viruegas and Cruz Viruegas, both of Quanah; two brothers, two sisters, 39 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Medalene Peterson MULESHOE - Medalene Peterson, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Stacy Conner of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Peterson was born in Lynn County. She was a longtime resident of Lazbuddie and Muleshoe before moving to Canyon in 1994. She was employed as a LVN at Muleshoe Area Medical Center and also worked for Dr. Charles Pummell and Dr. Bruce Purdy for many years. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Canyon. She married Earl Peterson in 1936 at Lubbock. He died in 1993. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Peterson of Muleshoe and Bruce Peterson of Canyon; two daughters, Pat Maxwell of Canyon and Earlene Petrosky of Brooksville, Fla.; four sisters, Tommie Ruth Lutz of Burnett, Onita Sedquick of Kress, Nellie J. Sogart of Wichita Falls and Nancy Cayton of Canyon; three brothers, James Paul Jones of Bryan/College Station, Doug Jones of Graham and Donald Lee Jones of Slaton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Ryan Mott QUANAH - Ryan Mott, 19, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998 at Dallas. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ with Robin Wight of Mexia and David McSpadden of Burkburnett officiating. Burial will be at Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Mott was born in Vernon and was a lifelong resident of Hardeman County. He was a 1997 graduate of Quanah High School where he was honored as outstanding senior boy, held several offices in FFA and was a four-year starter on the varsity baseball team. Mr. Mott was a freshman at Tarleton State University where he was 1997-98 state vice president of FFA. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his parents, Shirley and Roy Mott of Quanah; a sister, Amanda Mott of Stephenville; his grandparents, L.R. and Melba Mott of Durant, Okla., and Lulene Baxter of Princeton; and a special friend, Leanna Shores of Wichita Falls. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 until 8 p.m. today for visitation. They suggest memorials be to the Ryan Mott Scholarship Fund at First National Bank Chillicothe, Quanah Branch. Arylene Guinn STINNETT - Arylene Guinn, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with Zeb Sailors, minister of Stinnett Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Ms. Guinn was born in Wray, Colo., and had been a Stinnett resident for 59 years. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Guinn of Stinnett; two brothers, Virgil Bell of Denver and Dee Bell of Eugene, Ore.; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. The family will be at 200 McCormick in Stinnett. They suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. Amarillo Cregg Carter Cregg Carter, 36, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church at Sunray with the Rev. Daniel Echols, pastor, and the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mr. Carter was born in Denton and had lived in Amarillo the past 10 years. He was a former resident of Sunray. He was a 1980 graduate of Sunray High School and attended Texas Tech University, Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo. Survivors include two sons, Tarrant Carter and Preston Carter, both of Purcell, Okla.; parents, Morris and Sandy Carter of Sunray; a sister, Lynn Carter of Austin; and grandmothers, Pearl Carter and Maxine Gault, both of Amarillo. The family will be at 1011 Avenue O at Sunray. New Mexico Pauline Williams Sasser CLOVIS, N.M. - Pauline Williams Sasser, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Hines and the Rev. Doug Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Sasser was born in Hendrix, Okla., and had lived in Floydada, Texas, a number of years before moving to Clovis in 1938. She was a member of Central Baptist Church at Clovis and had taught Sunday school for 20 years. She also sang in the church choir. She and her first husband, Modrel "Mott" Williams, opened Mott's Venetian Blind Co. in 1945. After his death in 1966, she continued the business for 11 years. She married Duffy Sasser in 1972 and retired in 1977 after selling her business. She was a charter member of the Pilot Club of Clovis and was active in the Christian Women's Club for many years. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nancye Gressett of Clovis and Linda Geries of Farwell, Texas; two stepsons, Tony Sasser of Stamford, Conn., and James Sasser of Santa Fe; a sister, Josephine Cox of Clovis; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Fay Hudnall CLOVIS, N.M. - Fay Hudnall, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Central Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Martin, pastor of First Baptist Church of Hobbs, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Chapel of Hope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements at Hobbs. Mrs. Hudnall was born in Upshur County, Texas. She married Newton Hudnall in 1936. They moved to Clovis in 1943, where she lived most of her life. He died in 1974. She was a homemaker, a teacher's aide in the public schools and was active in church. Survivors include two daughters, Beth Robinson of Joshua, Texas, and Nancy Ray of Hobbs; two sons, Duncan Hudnall of Robertsdale, Ala., and Bob Hudnall of Southlake, Texas; two brothers, Hubert Duncan of Shreveport, La., and Royce Duncan of Mena, Ark.; a sister, Allene Hackler of Pittsburg, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Dunn LUBBOCK - Pauline D. Dunn, 76, of Broken Arrow, Okla., died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in South Plains Christian Fellowship in Lubbock with the Rev. Elizabeth Pruitt, the Rev. Vann Perryman and the Rev. Hugh Harris officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Hayhurst Funeral Home of Broken Arrow. Mrs. Dunn was born in Haskell County where she was a graduate of Weinert High School. She attended LIFE Bible College and graduated from RHEMA Bible College of Broken Arrow. She moved to Broken Arrow in 1997 from Lubbock. Mrs. Dunn attended God's Glorious Temple in Broken Arrow. She was a member of South Plains Christian Fellowship in Lubbock, RAMI (RHEMA alumni), and a founder of Daughter and Sons of Light Ministries. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Pruitt of Broken Arrow; a brother, John D. Zahn of Lubbock; two granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
