Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Church of the Holy Spirit by the Rev. John Salazar-Jimenez. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Cruz was born in Roma and moved to Tulia in 1954 from Smiley where she was raised. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She married Estanislao Cruz in 1925 in Gonzales County. He died in 1973. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Basaldua, in 1995. Survivors include four daughters, Emilia Garcia of Plainview and Angelita Luna, Celia Barrera and Linda Avalos, all of Tulia; five sons, Henry Cruz Sr., David Cruz, Ted Cruz and Ernest Cruz, all of Tulia and Felix Cruz of Brazaria; a sister, Mercedes Vasquez of San Antonio; a brother, Ray Rivera; 81 grandchildren; 172 great-grandchildren; and 34 greatgreat-grandchildren. Ottis Blaylock MULESHOE - Ottis Blaylock, 90, died Sunday, July 26, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Muleshoe Church of Christ with Gary Montgomery of Westside Church of Christ in Midland officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Blaylock was born in Vigo Park. In 1943 he moved from Maple to Muleshoe. He was employed as a mechanic by E.R. Hart Co. for 23 years and by Muleshoe Independent School District for 13 years. He was a member of Muleshoe Church of Christ. He married Agnes Hicks in 1930 at Wellington. She died in 1976. In 1979 he married Maud Hicks Brown at Amarillo. A son, Gordon Lee Blaylock, preceded him in death in 1980. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lewis Blaylock of Bridgeport and Dabney Blaylock of Blackwell; three daughters, Marieta Wilkinson of Muleshoe, Marie Robertson of Frisco and Debbie Lose of Wilsonville, Ore.; two sisters, Wilma Smith of Muleshoe and Mattie Lee Holloway of Levelland; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. For the past year she had lived in Clovis, moving from Portales, where she had lived for eight years. She was a body shop manager for Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque. She was a Baptist. Survivors include two daughters, Tracy Homier of Dublin, Ohio, and Scarlett Da Bous of Dallas; her father, Loyd Routon of Farwell; three sisters, Janice Vaughan of Turlock, Calif., Julie Barney of Farwell and June Carpenter of Stanton; a brother, David Routon of Wichita, Kan.; and two grandchildren. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He married Rosa Chacon in 1965 at Morton. Mrs. Perez was born in Sebastian. In 1958, she moved to Friona from Corpus Christi. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She married Jose Manual Perez in 1934 at Rio Hondo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, a son, Amadeo Perez, in 1962, and a daughter, Estela Montemayor, in 1997. Survivors include four sons, Conrado Perez and Samuel Perez, both of Friona, and Jose Perez Jr., and Rene Perez, both of Amarillo; three daughters, Amelia Rodriquez of Hollis, Okla., and Irma Raymond and Rosa Castillo, both of Friona; a brother, Jesus Rinoones of Brownsville; 34 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Maud Stump WAKA - Maud Stump, 103, died Monday, July 27, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Waka Church of the Brethren with Sandra R. Kitzel, a niece, officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Ms. Stump was born in Pulaski County, Mo. She had lived in this area since moving from Miami in 1901. She graduated from Bethany Theological Seminary and had been a licensed minister since 1934. For 23 years, she also taught school. She was a member of the Waka Church of the Brethren. Survivors include a brother, Oliver Stump of Cushing, Okla.; a sister, Ruth E. He was the retired owner / operator of a gas station. He was a member of the Kiwanis North, Odd Fellows and Second Baptist Church, where he also was a deacon. He married Iona Bouma in 1930 in Crosby County. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Hooks and Wayne Hooks, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Maxene Reed and Janene Gibson, both of Amarillo; a nephew, Stanley Stallings of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Fern Woodrell Fern Woodrell, 67, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 25, 1998. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Woodrell was born in Self, Ark. A retired bookkeeper, she had been an Amarillo resident for 46 years. With her husband, she owned and operated Arapahoe Truck & Equipment for many years. She was a member of West Amarillo Church of Christ. She married Gene "Woody" Woodrell. He died in 1979. Survivors include three daughters, Bea Howard, Karen Brown and Connie Cargill, all of Amarillo; two sons, Bobby Woodrell and Alvin Woodrell, both of Canoga Park, Calif.; an adopted son, Andrea Villa of Amarillo; three sisters, Ann Hagler of Cherry Valley, Ark., Juanita Dixon of Cicero, Ind., and Ina Mae Widner of Harrison, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ann Hodges of Amarillo. Mrs. Wormsbaker was born in Mount Dora, N.M. In 1933 she moved to Amarillo. She had been employed as a clerk by Furr Food and was a member of the Retail Clerks Union. She was a Baptist. She married Richard C. Wormsbaker in 1931 at Clayton, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1994. Survivors include two sons, Keith Wormsbaker and Gary Wormsbaker, both of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 6512 Arroyo Vista and 6705 Sandie. Oklahoma Georgia Sue Forgay ERICK, Okla. - Georgia Sue Harkins Forgay, 53, died Sunday, July 26, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Erick Assembly of God Church with T.D. Gifford and Isaac Snow officiating. Interment will be in the Erick Cemetery by Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home. Mrs. Forgay was born in Erick, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She was a homemaker. She was Ombudsman for SWODA. She belonged to Elk City First Assembly of God Church. She married Clinton "Bud" Forgay in 1968. He died in 1978. She also was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, JoAnn Martin. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Susan Johnson of Amarillo and Linda Pruitt of Erick; two stepsons, Gary Fee Forgay of Shamrock and James Lynn "Sonny" Forgay of Erick; her mother, Ruby May Harkins of Elk City; a brother, Pete Harkins of Amarillo; 17 stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Wilsie and Edwin L. Skipworth of Amarillo; two brothers, Kevan R. Steger of Amarillo and Kent Steger of Austin; and a sister, Donna Steger of Portland. The family will be at 3336 S.E. Main St. in Portland. New Mexico Ralph M. Wood CLAYTON, N.M. - Ralph M. Wood, 79, died Saturday, July 25, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Wood Auditorium with Jim Price officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4 p.m. in the Springer Cemetery in Springer, N.M., with Steve Jenson officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mr. Wood was born in Texhoma, Okla. He was a graduate of Springer High School and Panhandle State University. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Wood taught school in the Springer and Farley areas for 37 years until his retirement in 1982. He then ranched near Gladstone. He married Goldie Lee Williams in 1947 at Raton. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cherilee Joy Bryan of Huntsville, Ark., and Viola Ann Ferran of Whiterock; two sons, Walter C. Wood of Woodbridge, Va., and Robert R. Wood of Dalhart, Texas; six sisters, Etta Estes, Florence Hunter and Jessie Ella Rinks, all of Albuquerque, and Floy E. Crosby, Mattie Pearl Hunter and Berta Ann Schmidtke, all of Sun City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
