Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. McClure was born in Coffeyville, Kan., and lived in Bartlesville, Okla., until 1942, when he moved to Phillips. He moved to Pampa in 1946 from Phillips. He worked for Phillips Petroleum and Cabot Corp. for several years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He married Edna Fern Lape in 1941 in Stillwell, Okla. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Lea McClure. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Carolyn Lambright of Sapulpa, Okla., Georgia Ann Word of Pampa and Barbara Jean Maynor of Collinsville, Okla.; a son, Billy George McClure of Sapulpa; nine grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Central Baptist Church. Flora Alice Seely HEREFORD - Flora Alice Seely, 82, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ridgeview Memorial Park by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of McKinney. Mrs. Seely was born in Savannah, Tenn. She was retired from Texas Instruments and was a member of First Baptist Church of McKinney. She married Charles Elton Seely in 1939 in Garland. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Cantrell of Hereford; a brother, Steve Young of Dallas; three sisters, Francis Killough and Nettie Rose, both of Dallas, and Lena Davis of Plano; and two grandsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Nicolasa Rodriguez PLAINVIEW - Nicolasa Rodriguez, 75, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Kingsville and moved to Plainview in 1997 from Lockney. Glen Dale Coleman Sr. MEMPHIS - Glen Dale Coleman Sr., 75, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Church of Christ with Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis by Memphis Funeral Home. Mr. Coleman was born in Seymore and was an Army veteran of World War II. In 1985, he retired after 37 years with GTE. He married Hazel Phillips Moore in 1969 at Memphis. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Jordan, in 1994. Survivors include his wife; a son, Glen Dale Coleman Jr., of Memphis; three stepsons, Sonny Moore of Amarillo, Tommy Moore of Phoenix and Robert Moore of Panhandle; three daughters, Ann Sexton of Childress, Wanda Eastep of Amarillo and Janet Bridges of Memphis; four stepdaughters, Janie Welch and Linda Smith, both of Amarillo, Wanda Davis of Lubbock and Judy Clark of Wellington; 24 grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren. He married Bobbie Wooten in 1952 at Dimmitt. Mr. Jones was born in Childress and moved to Deaf Smith County when he was 2 years old. He farmed in the area and moved to Hereford in 1935 after his marriage. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He married Lorraine Cochran. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dean Jones of Wildorado; a daughter, Penny Jones of Dallas; a brother, J.P. Avis Louise Miller WHEELER - Avis Louise Miller, 57, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Shawn Davis of Canadian officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born in Hugoton, Kan., and attended school in Hugoton and Dumas. She graduated from Dumas High School and moved to Wheeler 29 years ago. Mrs. Miller was a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts and a member of the Band Booster Club. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen was born in Warner, Okla., and was a longtime Amarillo resident. She was a homemaker and member of San Jacinto Assembly of God. She attended Jan Werner Adult Day Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Allen, in 1993 and by a daughter, Joy Lou Washburn, earlier this year. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Nichols and Sue Hernandez, both of Amarillo; three sisters, Ruby A. Hayhurst, Opel Phillips and Lavonne M. May TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Silas R. May, 94, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Dunn Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Miller, pastor of South Georgia Street Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. May was born in Tucumcari, where he was a lifetime resident. He was a retired Southern Pacific Railroad engineer. He was a life member of the BPO Elks Lodge 1172 at Tucumcari. Survivors include his wife, Madeline Cain May; two daughters, Marsha Byrd of Tucumcari and Rita Yarbrough of Albuquerque; a son, Bill May of Miller, Ind.; and two grandsons. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until service time today. The casket will not be opened following services. Erin Mershon Johnson CLOVIS, N.M. - Erin Mershon Johnson, 82, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Church of the Nazarene with Ed Abla, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by SteedTodd Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Skylight, Ark. She worked for F.W. Woolworth for 19 years, followed by another 19 years of employment with Clovis National Bank. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene where she served in the bus ministry, on the church board and other benevolent works. She married F.S. "Jim" Johnson in 1962 in Clovis. Survivors include her husband; three children, Yvonne Samples of Cane Hill, Ark., Donna Kilmer of Clovis and Ron Mershon of Albuquerque; a brother, Lucian Freeman of Lincoln, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Agnes Gwendolyn Miller GUYMON, Okla. - Agnes Gwendolyn Miller, 92, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Gruver First Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Gumfory, pastor, officiating. Cremains will be buried in Gruver Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942. Mrs. Miller was born in Wellington, Kan., and moved to Guymon in September from Abilene, Texas. She had been a longtime resident of Gruver. She was a homemaker, an active member and Sunday school teacher of First Christian Church. She served the city of Gruver for several years as a librarian. She married Henry Armstrong in 1926. He died in 1971. She married Dee W. Miller in 1975 at Gruver. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Coleen Prew, and a stepdaughter, Jerilynn Gardner. Elsewhere Elizabeth Segraves ERA - Elizabeth Seagraves, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at Arlington. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Lee, minister of Hillcrest Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Era Cemetery. Mrs. Segraves was born near Valley View and moved to Era at an early age, where she spent most of her life. She attended Era School from first through 11th grade and the 12th grade in Gainesville. She attended one year of college at North Texas State University. She was a longtime member of the Era Church of Christ. She married Sam Segraves in 1931. They played an active role in the ranching and farming industries around Era, and she was involved with the family's horse and cattle operation for many years. He died in 1983. In the 1970s, she along with other community leaders, were instrumental in bringing the community of Era to the forefront of the Texas Community Development Program. This resulted in Era being recognized with several state awards for its community development projects such as the Era Community Center Building, Era's own volunteer fire department, the Era community water system, etc. Mrs. Segraves contributed to the Era Centennial Celebration in 1978. She served as a member and officer of the Era Parent Teachers Association, helped develop the R-H, FHA and FFA clubs. She was one of the original 12 members of the Era Happy Twelve Club, a sorority of women from the Era community. The club was formed in the early 1930s and is still in existence. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Segraves Berry of Era; a son, Dale Segraves of Weatherford; a sister, Ellen Ruth Nussbaum of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Roy Esbert Hollums LUBBOCK - Roy Esbert Hollums, 95, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Ivey Chapel of Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt with the Rev. Howard Rhoades, pastor of First Baptist Church of Dimmitt, officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 Thursday in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock by White Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mr. Hollums was born in Blue Ridge and attended school in Antelope near Floydada. In 1994, he moved to Dimmitt from Lubbock. He previously lived in Goldthwaite before moving to the Estacado community near Lorenzo in 1980. He moved to Lubbock in 1991. Mr. Hollums was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lorenzo and the Senior Sunday School Class. He married Jessie Audrey Foster in 1927 at Floydada. She preceded him in death in 1986. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Hollums of Dimmitt; a daughter, Marlene Green of Lubbock; a brother, John Hollums of Weatherford; a sister, Elizabeth Newton of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
