Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Free was born in Canadian. She was a homemaker. A longtime Pampa resident, she moved to Round Rock in 1993. She married Glenn Free in 1962 at Pampa. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Tracy Hamilton and Shannon Free, both of Round Rock, and Natasha Free of the home; four sisters, Clethel Steen of Wheeler, Pearl Morgan of Franklin, La., Mary Jane Mynear of Pampa and Helen Furgason of Skellytown; and two grandsons. Ruby Faye Vardeman MEMPHIS - Ruby Faye Vardeman, 96, of Pampa, a longtime Memphis resident, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memphis Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Posey officiating. Burial will be in Hulver Cemetery. Mrs. Vardeman was born in Bell County. She lived in Memphis and Childress until 1987, when she moved to Pampa. She was a homemaker. She married J.W. "Bill" Vardeman in 1921 at Memphis. Survivors include a sister, Jessie C. Jones of Pampa; and several nieces and nephews. The family will be at 901 S. 8th St. in Memphis. Ashlyn Nicole Marcum Brandt PAMPA - Ashlyn Nicole Marcum Brandt, 11, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Lyndon Glaesman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Ashlyn was born in Borger. She was a sixth grader at Pampa Middle School. Active in basketball and track, she received the Presidential Fitness Award. She also was an "A" honor-roll student and a cheerleader at Skellytown. Survivors include her parents, Shelli Brandt of Pampa, Travis Marcum of Borger and Dell Brandt of Graham; a sister, Nikki Marcum Brandt of the home; her grandparents, Dwayne and Debbie Barnes of Pampa, Bill and Jodie Stevens of Graham, Mark Twain Marcum of Iowa and Johnny McCraw of Amarillo; her greatgrandparents, Bonnie Young and Les and Elaine Arnold, all of Pampa, and Marina Gaunder of Perryton. Anna Knight Mullican STRATFORD - Anna Knight Mullican, 81, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Stewart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Mullican was born in Nevada, Mo. She had lived in Dallam and Sherman counties since 1926. She was a homemaker. Her first husband, A.E. "Pug" Knight, died in 1964. She later married Grady Mullican. He died in 1991. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Knight of Dalhart and Randy Knight of Carrollton; two daughters, Sharon Kenen of Wrightstown, N.J., and Senora Fansler of Amarillo; a sister, Viola Johnson of Amarillo; a brother, Glenn Baskett of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Venable was born in Granbury. In 1942 she moved to Dumas. She was a homemaker. She was a member of North Plains Christian Church. She married Jim Venable in 1936 in Collin County. He died in 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Sullivan of Amarillo and Mary Robertson of Dumas; two sons, Jimmy Venable and Larry Venable, both of Dumas; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Shelly Tipton of Dumas. Albert Glen Tyler FLOYDADA - Albert Glen Tyler, 76, of Amarillo, a former Floydada resident, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Floydada with John McMath of Amarillo Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park. Mr. Tyler was born in Bell County and attended school in Floydada. He served in the Coast Guard. In 1964 he moved to Amarillo. An aircraft mechanic, he was employed by Bell Helicopter for 25 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Willa Dean Rogers in 1946 at Floydada. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald Glenn Tyler of Amarillo; two brothers, R.T. Tyler of Dallas and N.E. Tyler of Hereford; and two sisters, Evangeliane Damron of Brownwood and Wilean Williams of Dallas. The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101. Charles Brisendine LIBERAL, Kan. - Charles Brisendine, 77, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Ansell and the Rev. David Bagwell officiating. Private burial will be in Liberal Cemetery under the direction of Miller Mortuary. Mr. Brisendine was a lifelong resident of Liberal. He was a banker, civic leader and western area minister for the American Baptist Churches of Kansas. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Camp Christy, Scott City, Kan., in care of the funeral home. Amarillo Peggy Dahl Peggy Dahl, 63, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in St. Martin's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Martin's by the Rev. John Hickey. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by BlackburnShaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mrs. Dahl was born in Dalhart and moved to Amarillo 44 years ago. She operated The Day-Old Bread Store for Cook Book and Mead's Bakery for 30 years. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church for 21 years. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters Altar Society and volunteered for the Catholic Museum. She married Clark Dahl in 1979 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Theresa Barr Truitt of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Sue Webb of Amarillo; two stepsons, Rob Dahl and Mike Dahl, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Helen Lowery of Hartley and Billie Guthrie of Dalhart; nine grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. She had been an Amarillo resident since 1971. She was a homemaker. She married John Harris in 1936 at Fostoria. He died in 1971. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Harris and Jean Harris, both of Amarillo. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Fannie Mae Williams Fannie Mae Williams, 54, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Pastor Phil Mercado of Trinity Fellowship Church officiating. Entombment will be in Mausoleum East. Mrs. Williams was born at Goodnight and moved to Amarillo in 1948. She was a homemaker. She was employed as a security coordinator at Owens Corning. Her first husband, Richard Williams, preceded her in death in 1989. Later that year she married John Micak at Amarillo. Survivors include four daughters, Cathy Williams, Kelli Williams and Crystal Williams, all of Amarillo, and Virginia Woods of Las Vegas; a brother, Jack McDonald of Amarillo; a sister, Mabel Green of Dallas; and one grandchild. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice. Doris Clifford Branum Doris Clifford "Pa" Branum, 80, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerald Chadwick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Branum was born in Roxton. During World War II he served as a sergeant in the Army with Company B, 634th Tank Destroyer Battalion, stationed in central Europe. He received the American Theater Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Campaign Medal with two bronze stars. In 1957 Mr. Branum moved from Ralls to Amarillo. He worked as a farmer and as a postal employee. He retired from Bell Helicopter as an aircraft mechanic. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He married Lorene Boss in 1937. She died in 1985. He also was preceded in death by a son, Dan Allen Branum, in 1968. In 1994 he married Charleen Patterson. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Doris Branum, Carolyn Davis, Margaret Cox and Shirley Myers, all of Amarillo; two sons, Clifford Branum of Kwajalein Island and Bob Branum of Canyon; two stepsons, Bill Patterson Jr. and Joe M. Patterson, both of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Pat J. Wilson of Sanford, Colo.; a brother, Milton Branum of Maxey; 28 grandchildren; and 49 greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 3320 Lenwood.
