Chapel, 1505 Martin Rd. Mr. Landeros was born in Sacatatecas, Mexico. He moved to Amarillo 15 years ago. He worked for Palo Duro Packing Co., as a meat cutter and was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. He married Linda Carol DeLeon in 1987. Survivors include his wife; a son, Christopher DeLeon of the home; his parents, Alejo Landeros and Prudenciana Hernandez of Mexico; three brothers, Armando Landeros of Amarillo, Ignacio Landeros and Lino Landeros, both of Des Moines, Iowa; five sisters, Catilina, Maria, Amparo and Santos Landeros, all of Mexico and Genia Landeros of Des Moines; and his grandparents, Placido Landeros and Catalina Salcedo of Mexico. LaVerne McCuller LaVerne McCuller, 70, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998 in Burlington, Mass. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Robert Field, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. McCuller was born in Vernon and raised in Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo High in 1947. In Tyler, she served as a hospital volunteer and was a member of South Oaks Baptist Church. She returned to Amarillo in 1992 where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She married J.L. McCuller in 1950. He died in 1992. Survivors include two sons, Michael "Mac" McCuller of Chelmsford, Mass., and Patrick Roy McCuller of Huntsville; two sisters, Belle Gage of Amarillo and Joyce Sykes of Loveland, Colo.; and two grandchildren. R.B. Parkinson R.B. Parkinson, 89, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Polk Street United Methodist Church with Bill Wade, associate pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Parkinson was born in Pampa and moved to Amarillo as an infant. He moved to Lubbock, where he operated Parkinson's Music Store. During World War II, he worked in the war industry at Kansas City, Mo. After the war, he returned to Lubbock where he worked for Baker Office Supply. In 1950, he moved to Amarillo and worked for Southwest Stationery and Bank Supply. He was then a purchasing agent for the Amarillo Independent School District. He retired as purchasing agent for Amarillo College. Mr. Parkinson was a charter member of Amarillo Symphony Orchestra and played with the orchestra for more than 50 years. He traveled as a jazz musician and was a member of the house band at the Nat Ballroom and of the Amarillo College Community Band. He played with the Shrine Band at the Masonic Lodge in Kansas City and with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Parkinson was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church, the 50/50 Sunday school class and sang with the Sanctuary Choir. He was a member of the Amarillo Hot Air Balloon Association, Downtown Lion's Club, Golden Spread Gem and Mineral Society, American Federation of Musicians and the National Association of Purchasing Agents. He married Mary Grace Ellison in 1940. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janis Savage of Amarillo; two sons, Brad Parkinson of Bemidji, Minn., and John David Parkinson of Amarillo; a sister, Frances Arnold of Riverside, Calif.; and five grandchildren. Betty Marie Kloppenborg Betty Marie Kloppenborg, 71, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Kloppenborg was born in Lincoln, Neb., and had lived in Amarillo for 10 years. For many years, she was a Girl Scout leader, showed poodles and was a member of several motorcycle clubs. She was a homemaker. She married Wesley Kloppenborg in 1948 at Edgar, Neb. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Vicki Johnson of Dallas and Debbie Bostick of Amarillo; a son, David Kloppenborg of Austin; a sister, Mary Lou Weber of Friend, Neb.; and two brothers, Chester White of Centralia, Wash., and James Roush of Lincoln. Oleta Webster Oleta Webster, 80, of Amarillo, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Dickerson of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Webster was born in Henderson County and moved to Amarillo in 1960. She had been employed by Pantex and by Dr. Royce. She was a homemaker, a Catholic and volunteer for RSVP. She married H.T. Webster in 1937 at Carson County. He died in 1987. Survivors include a son, William Dale Head of Arkansas; a grandson, Billy Head of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Sheila Head, Carla Herrington and Kim Simms, all of Amarillo; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mack Spencer Mack Spencer, 65, of Amarillo, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. Darrell Bonjour, director of deaf ministries at Paramount Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Spencer was born in Fort Stockton and attended school in Clarendon. He also attended McKinley School in Amarillo. For the past 50 years, he lived in Amarillo where he worked in the body shop of Plains Chevrolet. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church Deaf Ministries. Survivors include a son, Barry Spencer of Lubbock; two sisters, Jeane Bartlett and Imogene Wright, both of Amarillo; and two brothers, Woody Spencer of Plainview and Jack Spencer of Amarillo. The family will be at 6116 Gainsborough. They suggest memorials be to Deaf Ministries at Paramount Baptist Church. Odess O. Lovin Sr. Odess O. Lovin Sr., 76, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Dumas Cemetery with Jerry Clark, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Lovin was born in Alba and lived in Amarillo for 50 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was employed as a crane operator in construction. He married Mandolene Boren in 1947 at Cactus. She died in 1993. Survivors include a son, Odess Lovin Jr., of Amarillo; two brothers, George Lovin and Arthur Lovin, both of Lindale; a sister, Jettie Davis of Spearman; and a grandchild. The family will be at 7712 Tripp in Amarillo. They suggest memorials be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109. Oklahoma Ralph William White GUYMON, Okla. - Ralph William White, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church of Guymon with the Rev. Jim Jacobson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon. Mr. White was born in Grand Junction, Colo., and lived in Lake City, Colo., Spingerville, Colo., Holcomb, Kan., Pond Creek and Phoenix before moving to Guymon. He graduated from high school in Enid and attended Panhandle State A&M College. Mr. White taught at the Easterwood Country School and third grade in Guymon. He received his bachelors degree in 1938. He later taught elementary school in Meeker, Colo. Mr. White served in the Army from 1942 until 1947. He received his lieutenant bar in 1943 and was stationed in the motor pool in Ohau, Hawaii. Mr. White returned to Meeker to teach, then moved to Guymon to farm. For more than 20 years, he was coordinator for a trade and industry class and elementary teacher. He retired as a teacher in 1973 and became a janitor at Salyer School. In 1989, Mr. White and his wife moved to Buena Vista, Colo. Mr. White was an active member of First Baptist Church, Sunday School activities, choir and Bethlehem Market Place. He was a member of a bridge club, Guymon Lion's Club and one-time president of Mr. and Mrs. Garden Club. In the 1930s, he coached the junior high girls' basketball team. Mr. White collected Indian artifacts and wrote articles about them. He was awarded the Golden Trowel Award for amateur archaeology in 1988 for his discoveries. He married Charline Hyer of Woodward, Okla., at the end of World War II. Survivors include his wife; two children, Kenny White of Houston and Lucy Proctor of Midland, Texas; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a Ralph White memorial for the First Presbyterian Church which will be accepted at the church or Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942. Vera May Commons BEAVER - Vera May Commons, 91, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mrs. Commons was born in Carpenter. She graduated from high school and retired as manager of an apartment complex in Lawton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She married Donald D. Commons in 1949. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Stella Shaw of Beaver; and two grandsons. Elsewhere T.J. Bridges Jr. ELECTRA - T.J. "Ted" Bridges Jr., 75, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Electra with the Rev. Charles Nichols, pastor of Southside Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, officiating. Burial will be in New Electra Cemetery in Electra by Holley Funeral Home Inc., of Canyon. Mr. Bridges was born in Vernon. He was a veteran of the Army and Air Force. He was employed as a cook and was a member of First Baptist Church of Electra. He married Wanda in 1970 at Vernon. She preceded him in death. Survivors include three daughters, Corliss Schneider of Shore Acres, Mattie Culvert of Pearland and Cindy Jones of Grady, N.M.; four sons, Donald Bridges of Germany, Jerry Bridges of Amarillo, Kenneth Bridges of Howardwick and David Bridges of New Orleans; a brother, Howard Bridges of Killeen; a sister, Helen Jardine of Lawton, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Electra. Margiree Davis Terrell LUBBOCK - Margiree Davis Terrell, 68, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Tahoka with K.R. Anderson, elder, officiating. Burial will be in Nevels Cemetery in Tahoka by White Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mrs. Terrell was born in Cameron where she attended elementary school. In 1953, she moved from Big Spring to Tahoka where she worked for Tahoka Nursing Home. She moved to Lubbock in 1976 and was employed by First Baptist Church. Mrs. Terrell was a personal caretaker and homemaker. For many years, she was employed by White Funeral Homes in Tahoka and Idalou. She was a member of Antioch Bible Fellowship in Amarillo and the Church of the Living God in Slaton. She married John Robin Payton who preceded her in death. She then married Floyd Terrell in 1973 at Tahoka. He died in 1975. Survivors include her mother, Lillie Mae Williams of Snyder, Okla.; a son, Marshall Payton of Amarillo; a daughter, Diane Wilkerson of Lubbock; a brother, Willie Ewings of Lubbock; three sisters, Mary Etta Smith of Snyder, Shirley Elder of Tahoka and Sharon of Lawton, Okla.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. today until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. New Mexico Richard Curtis Aragon TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Richard Curtis Aragon, 45, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. John C. Daniel as celebrant. Burial will be in the family plot in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Aragon was born and raised in Tucumcari where he graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1971. He attended Eastern New Mexico University and lied in Clovis. He was a Catholic. Survivors include his mother, Julia Aragon of Clovis; three brothers, Abel Aragon Jr., of Tucumcari, Eddy Aragon of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Robert Aragon of Clovis; and three sisters, Lola Bauler of Tucumcari, Margaret Boggs of Gore, Okla., and Patricia Ruiz of Santa Fe. Viewing will be from this morning until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. May Lorene McClure CLAYTON, N.M. - May Lorene McClure, 81, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mrs. McClure married William Arnold McClure in 1934 at Clayton. He died in 1977. Survivors include four daughters, Joan Lamb of Las Cruces, Barbara Hintzen of Salem, Ore., Corene Cherry of Eagle River, Alaska and Rose Kimber of Clayton; two sons, Bob McClure of Clayton and Rudy McClure of Salem; three sisters, Betty Steen and Lottir Steen, both of Dumas, and Faye Green of Canon City, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
