Vigil will be at 7 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church by Monsignor Francis A. Smyer of the church and the Rev. Donald F. Dunn. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Klock was born in Garrett, Ind., but spent most of her life in Amarillo. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy, where she later taught physical education and coached baseball. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Durward Klock, in in 1971. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara J. Collins of Littleton and Peggy J. Dunn of Denver; two brothers, George L. Mager and Dr. Robert E. Mager, both of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the St. Mary's Catholic Church building fund. Anita Wallace Anita Wallace, 89, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Frank Swindle officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Ms. Wallace was born in Graham. She worked at St. Anthony's Hospital for 18 years. She also worked for the north branch of Amarillo National Bank for 10 years. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church for 20 years. She married Clark Cogswell Wallace in 1934 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1951. Survivors include a son, Joe C. Wallace of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a sister, Zelene Wiggins of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Visitation for family only will be at the funeral home from 4 to 5 p.m. today. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Lucy Grace Brown Lucy Grace Wright Brown, 90, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Children's Chapel with the Rev. Elizabeth Parker, associate to the rector, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Brown was born in Lahoma, Okla. She earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Southwestern College in Kansas and completed her dietetic residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She received a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma City University. She was a registered dietitian in Illinois, Ohio, Kansas and Oklahoma. She served as president of the Oklahoma City Dietetic Association in 1944 and of the Oklahoma Dietetic Association in 1946. Mrs. Brown served on a civil defense committee during the Korean War while working at East Central State College. She later was the director of food service for the 10 Appalachian Regional Hospitals in Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia. After retiring in 1972, she moved to Amarillo. She taught classes at Amarillo College and was a docent at the Amarillo Art Center. In 1983, she served as the senior docent coordinator. Mrs. Brown volunteered at Wolflin Elementary School's library, Faith City Mission and St. Andrew's Saint's Closet. She also volunteered for more than 3,000 hours at RSVP. She was a member of the Panhandle Dietetic Association and in 1996 was honored by them as a 50-year member. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, United Methodist Women at Polk Street United Methodist Church, Esther McCrory Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, High Plains Scottish Heritage Society and the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association's Swinging Seniors. She married Guy M. Woodson in 1933 at Chicago. They divorced in 1947. She married John Graham Brown in 1954 at Baltimore. He died in 1963. Survivors include a daughter, Gwen Fraze of Amarillo; two sisters, Pauline Clark and Charlene Schafer, both of Tulsa, Okla.; and four grandchildren. The family requests no flowers. They suggest memorials be to CARE, UNICEF, Meals for Millions or the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church building fund. Richard Gravner Roe Richard "Dick" Gravner Roe, 70, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Holley Funeral Home Chapel in Canyon with the Rev. Richard Holloway, associate pastor of Paramount Terrace Christian Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Mr. Roe was born in Albany. He married Carol Hills in 1963 at Denton. He worked in law enforcement and was a bailiff in Judge David Gleason's office. He was a member of the Will Rogers Range Riders, the Randall County Sheriff's Posse and the Texas Peace Officers Association. He also was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1475 and Coulter Road Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debby Murphy of Canyon and Kathy Roe of Fort Worth; two sisters, Florence Gibson of Sequim, Wash., and Margaret Roe of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; and two grandsons. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Truman Dean Fugit Truman Dean Fugit, 69, of 2817 Magnolia, died Monday, April 27, 1998. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Jeff Messer officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park East Mausoleum. Mr. Fugit was born in Ridgeway, Mo. He moved to Amarillo in 1967 from Clovis, N.M. He served with the Air Force as a weather equipment maintenance technician and weather observer. After a 20year career that included four overseas tours and assignments in Labrador, Alaska, Korea and France, he received an honorable discharge and retired in 1967. He moved to Amarillo in 1967 and began working with the National Weather Service as an upper air specialist. He retired in 1993 after 26 years of service. Mr. Fugit married Darlene June Dougherty in 1951 at LaCrosse, Ind. She died in 1994. Survivors include two sons, Wesley Fugit and Kevin Fugit, both of Amarillo; three daughters, Debbie James and Terry Howell, both of Amarillo, and Barbara McCourt of El Paso; his mother, Waive Fugit of Amarillo; a brother, Norman Carter of Phoenix; and seven grandchildren. New Mexico Lillian Grimes CLOVIS, N.M. - Lillian Grimes, 86, died Monday, April 27, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Crosby United Methodist Church at Crosby, Texas, with the Rev. Robert Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Earthman Memory Gardens at Baytown, Texas. Mrs. Grimes was born in Texas. She was a longtime resident of Crosby before moving to Clovis. She was a member of Crosby United Methodist Church. Her husband, Ivin Hall Grimes, preceded her in death in 1972. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Imogene Berman, in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Bell Scott of Clovis; a brother, Odis Owens of Mount Pleasant, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Lindsey DeFoor TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Lindsey DeFoor, 96, died Friday, April 24, 1998, in Albuquerque. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Ms. DeFoor was born in Henrietta, Texas. She was a schoolteacher. At the time of her retirement, she owned and operated a beauty shop. Survivors include a brother, Irving DeFoor of Albuquerque; and a sister, Ann Cheshier of Amarillo. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until service time. Elsewhere Emma Omega Hardy TOW - Emma Omega Hardy, 85, died Monday, April 27, 1998. Burial will be in Tow Cemetery in Llano County by WaldropeHatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home of Llano. Mrs. Hardy was born in Collingsworth County. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Houston Hardy in 1945 at San Antonio. He died in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Arce of San Antonio; a sister, Nita Hennig of Tulia; a brother, the Rev. Noble Crawford of Santa Cruz, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Verna Lou Brown COLORADO CITY, Colo. - Verna Lou Brown, 71, died Monday, April 27, 1998. Survivors include her mother, Lydia Singleton; her children, Kelly Brown of Bedford, Texas, Cindy Wolf-Rubin of Santa Monica, Calif., and Dean Brown of Salt Lake City; a sister, Edean Blackburn of Longmont; and nine grandchildren. Area Lucille Foxworth LOCKNEY - Lucille Foxworth, 90, died Monday, April 27, 1998. Graveside services were at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lockney Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Abney, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Foxworth was born in Waco. She attended school in Waco and Corsicana. She attended beauty college in San Francisco and was a retired beautician. She moved to Lockney this year from San Francisco. She was Baptist. She married William Foxworth in 1965 at San Francisco. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Jones, in 1995. Survivors include a sister, Lois Albert of Lockney. Edna Bauer MULESHOE - Edna Bauer, 98, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, in Farwell. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John Lutheran Church at Lariat with the Rev. Richard Greenthaner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery at Canyon by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Bauer was born in Kaufman County. She moved to Muleshoe in 1974 from Canyon, where she had lived since 1925. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church at Lariat. She was a homemaker. She married Irvin Bauer in 1925 at Happy. He died in 1969. She also was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Bauer, in 1985; and by a daughter, Junell Blalack, in 1996. Survivors include a son, Lee Roy Bauer of Monett, Mo.; two daughters, Una Walker of Las Vegas and Mary Alice Ramm of Muleshoe; a sister, Josephine Boulward of Maumelle, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She had been a Dumas resident since 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of First Street Church of Christ. She married Alvin Henry Kornegay in 1929 at Weatherford. He died in 1981. Survivors include a son, Louis Kornegay of Amarillo; a brother, Paulie Davidson of Weatherford; a sister, Willie May Davidson of Weatherford; and three grandchildren. Linda Walker Crews HEREFORD - Linda Walker Crews, 35, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Central Church of Christ with the Rev. Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors. Mrs. Crews was born and raised in Hereford. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1980 and attended West Texas State University for a year. While in high school, she was a member of the Hereford High School band and the flag corps. She also was a competition twirler. During junior high, she was a state 4H champion for two years, showing quarter horses. She was a runnerup for Miss Teen Hereford and Miss Hereford. Mrs. Crews was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her parents, Virgil D. and Naomi Walker of Hereford; her husband, Joe Crews of Amarillo; a brother, Wade Walker of Hereford; and grandmothers, Ormel Lee Walker of Hereford and Gertreude McGee of Shawnee, Okla. Timmy Kilpatrick HEREFORD - Timmy Kilpatrick, 47, of Clovis, N.M., died Monday, April 27, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Gililland-Watson Funeral Home Rose Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Grant of First Presbyterian Church and Roy Barringer, retired Christian Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mr. Kilpatrick was born in Fort Worth and moved to Deaf Smith County in 1965. He graduated from Hereford High School and entered the Army in 1971. He was honorably discharged as a Spc. 4th Class in 1974. Mr. Kilpatrick was a taxi driver. Survivors include his parents, S.G. and Geneva Kilpatrick of Hereford; three brothers, Charles Kilpatrick and Paul Kilpatrick, both of Hereford, and Virgil Kilpatrick of Memphis, Ark.; and a sister, Brenda Johnson of Hereford. The family will be at 120 Windsor. Christopher Lloyd Ferguson LOCKNEY - Christopher Lloyd Ferguson, 13, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lockney High School gymnasium with the Rev. Glenn Clark, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church of Plainview, the Rev. Q.D. Bevill, associate pastor, and the Rev. Brad Ferguson, uncle of the deceased, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Christopher was born in Hale Center. He moved to Lockney from Plainview in 1997. He attended Lockney Junior High School, where he was a seventh-grade student and a football player. He was a member of Aiken Baptist Church in Aiken. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Lori and Henry Martin of Lockney; his father and stepmother, Greg and Lisa Ferguson of Lubbock; a brother, Matthew Ferguson of Lockney; three stepbrothers, Kyle Graves, Gary Don Graves and Lane Edwards James Clark, all of Lubbock; and grandparents, Mrs. Frances Chiddix of Plainview, and Mrs. Joann Kernell and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ferguson, all of Lubbock. Percy Henry Gruhlkey ADRIAN - Percy Henry Gruhlkey, 86, died Monday, April 27, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Adrian United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rich Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega by Vega Funeral Home. Mr. Gruhlkey was born in Enid, Okla., and had lived in Adrian for 80 years. He graduated from Vega High School in Vega and Draughon's Business College in Amarillo. He owned and operated Caprock Service Station for many years. He was a carpenter and also was engaged in farming and ranching. He was a member of Adrian United Methodist Church. Mr. Gruhlkey married Marie Scott in 1933 at Tucumcari, N.M. She died in 1988. He also was preceded in death by a son, John Henry Gruhlkey, in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Esther Banks of Plainview; a brother, R.M. Gruhlkey of Adrian; and four grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Adrian United Methodist Church. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday.
