Thanksgiving Eucharist and Committal memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Pampa with the Rev. Jacob Clemmens, rector, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hinton was a first generation American born in New York City. She moved to Pampa after World War II. She lived in Carson County for 48 years and returned to Pampa in 1997. Mrs. Hinton was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and chairperson of the United Thank Offering. She was a member of the Venado Blanco Club in White Deer. She married Paul Hinton in 1945 at Charleston, S.C. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Paulette Gentry of Valrico, Fla.; a son, Douglas Hinton of Wotton Under Edge, England; and a grandson. The family requests memorials be to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Day School Building Fund. The body will not be available for viewing. Otis O. Klepper BORGER - Otis O. Klepper, 83, died Saturday, March 28, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Klepper was born in Crowell and had been a Borger resident since 1942. He was a World War II veteran. He was retired from Phillips Petroleum after 40 years of service. He was a Baptist. He married Dorothy Holland in 1941 at Quanah. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenny Klepper of New Port, N.Y.; two daughters, Darlene Duncan of San Antonio and Barbara Biggs of Borger; four brothers, Marvin Klepper, Frank Klepper and Robert Klepper, all of California, and Ira Klepper of Waco; a sister, Margaret Forbs of Oregon; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Dewey Moses OLTON - Dewey Moses, 86, died Saturday, March 28, 1998. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Northside Church of Christ with Kenneth Avaritt of Benton, Ark., and Howard Morris of Canyon officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Foskey-LilleyMcGill Funeral Home. Mr. Moses was born in Muddig and moved to Olton from Estelline in 1937. He served in the Coast Guard from 1942 until 1945. With his brother, he owned the Circle Store from 1937 until 1949. Until the time of his death, Mr. Moses was a farmer. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ. He married Frances Blanks in 1937 at Childress. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carla Synatschk of Olton; two sisters, Beatrice Hamman of Mishawaka, Ind., and Dorothy Robinson of Granbury; and three grandsons. Brandon QUANAH - James E. "Sonny" Brandon, 58, died Saturday, March 29, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Durwood Thigpen officiating. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Brandon was born in Quanah and returned to Quanah from California in 1976. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He had been employed as a truck driver for Moore Agriculture in Munday. He married Linda Williams in 1970 at Bakersfield, Calif. He was preceded in death by a grandson in 1984. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Nola Ruth Brandon; three sons, Jimmy Brandon of Shamrock, Bobby Brandon of Jacksonville, Fla., and Danny Brandon of Stephenville; three daughters, Kem Snider of Erick, Okla., Barbara Sunday and Jennifer Brandon, both of Quanah; three sisters, Karen Rasberry of Grand Prairie, Sharon Brandon of Quanah and Branda Carpenter of Wichita Falls; and 14 grandchildren. Dolly Fay Simmons PADUCAH - Dolly Fay Simmons, 79, died Saturday, March 28, 1998. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Weeks, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Siegler Funeral Home. Mrs. Simmons was born in Roaring Springs and resided in Cottle County for 50 years. She was a homemaker and member of Antioch Baptist Church. She married James A. Simmons who died in 1972. She also was preceded in death by two sons, James A. Simmons Jr. in 1964 and Ray Gene Simmons in 1979. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Betty Talton of Paducah; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Eva Pena WELLINGTON - Eva Pena, 64, died Sunday, March 29, 1998. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Arturo Garza, pastor of the Primera Iglesia Baustista, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Pena was born in Gonzales and moved to Collingsworth County at an early age. She was a farmer and rancher. She was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista. She married Genaro Pena in 1959. He died in 1971. Survivors include two sons, Luis Pena and Mike Pena, both of Wellington; two daughters, Maria Anglin of Wellington and Nancy Garza of Richmond, Minn.; six brothers, Nicholas Garza of Decatur, Ind., George Garza of Shamrock, Simon Garza of Texola, Okla., Noe Garza of San Antonio, Saul Garza of Childress and Soel Garza of Fort Worth; three sisters, Dora Medrano of Elsa, Amelia Ramos and Carmen Nevarez, both of Graham; and seven grandchildren. Amarillo Angel Gabriel Gutierrez Angel Gabriel Gutierrez, infant son of Leoncio Gutierrez Jr. and Janell Martinez of 1101 N. Arthur St., died Thursday, March 26, 1998. Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Emilio Gutierrez and Isaac Gutierrez, both of the home; and grandparents, Leoncio Gutierrez, Dominga Gonzales, and Gilbert and Linda Martinez, all of Amarillo. Yvonne P. Jonason Yvonne P. Jonason, 77, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 27, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle with Dr. Ron Sumter, interim senior minister of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Jonason was born in Hansford County and had been an Amarillo resident since 1935. She had been employed as a legal secretary for lawyer Cleo Clayton. She was a member of First Christian Church. She married Robert Jonason in 1950 at Amarillo. He died in 1986. Survivors include two sons, Bruce Jonason of Corpus Christi and Kim Roger Jonason of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Carol Marshall of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 715 S. Lamar, Amarillo, 79106. Virginia W. Frasier Virginia W. Frasier, 71, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 29, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Russell Gibbs, Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Frasier was born in Quinton, Okla. She came to Amarillo in 1963 from Canada. She was a former Lake Tanglewood resident. Mrs. Frasier was a real estate investor. She and her husband were the original franchise owners of Manpower Temporary Services from 1964 until their retirement in 1993. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She married U.L. "Bud" Frasier in 1942 at Sunray. He preceded her in death in May 1997. Survivors include her children, Kearney Cole and Linda Cole, both of Amarillo; and one grandchild. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. The body will not be available for viewing.
