Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Church of Christ in Borger with Brian Boverie and Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Garden in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Borger and had been a lifetime resident of the area. She was a homemaker and member of Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Chanie Ranee Wheeler, in January. Survivors include her husband, Mike Wheeler; her parents, Patsy and Bob Sims of Fritch; four brothers, Michael Sims of Austin, Terry Sims of Amarillo, Kelley Sims of Lubbock and Tim Hartel of Gruver; a sister, Dean Ott of Fritch; and her grandmother, Mrs. Merle Howard of Borger. The family is staying at 1006 Brenhan in Fritch. The Wheeler family will be staying at the Watson residence at 1319 E.Sanford. They suggest memorials be to the American Diabetes Foundation. Amarillo Vinita Weber Vinita "Nita" Weber, 75, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with Dan Powers, pastor of Northside Assembly of God Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mrs. Weber was born in Carmen, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 1983, moving from Stinnett. She had worked as a legal secretary for many years and as a cook. She was a charter member of Golden Spread Grandmothers Club of Stinnett and a member of Northside Assembly of God Church. She married Elmer L. Weber in 1942 in Nevada, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1977. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Weber of Borger, Dale Weber of Amarillo and Mike Weber of Stinnett; three daughters, Nancy Weber-Hill of Odessa and Patty Sursa and Cindy Goforth, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Ama Russell of Enid, Okla., and Velma Turner of Altamont, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center or the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center. Billie Bain Billie Bain, 71, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle with the Rev. Raymond Bowlin, pastor of Bushland Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Bain was born in Clarendon and had lived in Dumas from 1953 until moving to Amarillo in 1966. She was employed by Eva's Fashions and was a homemaker. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Clarendon and Bushland Baptist Church. She married Keith Bain in 1953 at Hedley. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Connie White of Amarillo; a sister, Thelma Hill of Clarendon; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association Panhandle Chapter, 2200 W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106. Flora Elizabeth Leland Flora Elizabeth (Lisl) Leland, 92, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation will be by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Mrs. Leland was born in New Richmond, Wis., and spent her early years there and in Minneapolis. She married Wilfred C. "Bill" Leland and they moved to Reston, Va., and then to Santa Barbara, Calif. She moved to Amarillo in 1994. She was a concert pianist and had taught piano for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986. Survivors include a son, Karl Jacobs of Maui, Hawaii; and a brother, W.A. "Bill" Sherman of Amarillo. The body will not be available for viewing. New Mexico Eloisa Vega LEHMAN, Texas - Eloisa Vega, 73, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 1998. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in San Jose Catholic Church in Texico, N.M. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Carlos Chavez. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace in Farwell by Muffley Funeral Home in Clovis, N.M. Mrs. Vega was born in Carrizo Springs and was a lifetime resident. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She married Erasmo Vega in 1943 in Carrizo Springs. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Antonio Vega of Texico, Erasmo Vega Jr. of Morton and Santiago Vega of Morton; seven daughters, Clara Servin and Lucy Calaviz, both of Dora, N.M., Lupe Vidauri and Stella Meza, both of Farwell, Orlia Cano of Texico, Mary Torres of Bledsoe and Terry Herrera of Lubbock; three brothers, Manuel Cantu of Hollis, Okla., and Juan Cantu and Jimmy Cantu, both of Carrizo Springs; six sisters, Rosa Mendoza of Amarillo, Petra Mendoza of Hereford, Mary Velasquez, Eva Estrada and Juanita Flores, all of Denver, and Veva Estrada of Big Wells; 35 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Clarence Edward Hogue GUYMON, Okla. - Clarence Edward Hogue, 68, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. James Wiggin of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church officiating. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mr. Hogue was born in Viola, Ark., and was raised in the Hardesty area. He worked for Eggers and Sons Construction for several years in the late 1940s. He also managed Bryan's Corner Station for many years. He was a member of the Guymon First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
