Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in White Deer Cemetery at White Deer with Bob Epperson, pastor of Cornerstone Christian Center of White Deer, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Dull was born in Perryville, Ark., and was raised in Arkansas. She had been a resident of the Pampa and White Deer areas before moving to Pocatello in 1993. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Robert Morris, preceded her in death. She later married Joseph L. "Buster" Dull in 1963 at Pampa. He died in 1993. She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Opal Marvich and Christine Overall; a son, Louis Morris; and a stepson, Allen Dull. Survivors include three sons, Robert Morris of Lamar, Mo., Wayne Morris of Pocatello, and Walter Morris of Muskogee, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Linda Hogue of White Deer and Janet Dull of Lubbock; a stepson, David Dull of White Deer; a brother, Grady W. Ellison of Roland, Ark.; 25 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; and several great-greatgrandchildren. Dorothy Baskin DALHART - Dorothy Baskin, 76, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Dalhart by Hass Funeral Home. Mrs. Baskin was born in Van Buren and was raised in Texas and California. She moved to Dalhart in 1977. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Grant was born in Harlingen and moved to Pampa in 1990 from Borger. He was self-employed and was an assistant pastor. He was a member of Open Door Church of God in Christ. Olson Charles Damon TEXLINE - Olson Charles Damon, 80, of Texline, a former Amarillo resident, died Monday, March 29, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. CST today in West Amarillo Church of Christ at Amarillo with Tony Dean, minister, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. CST in the Texline Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, N.M. Mr. Damon was born in Chinlee, Ariz., then lived in Gallup, N.M., until he joined the Army. A veteran of World War II, he received four Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart with two oak clusters, the Good Conduct Medal, the Silver Star Medal and the American Defense Service Medal. In 1938, Mr. Damon moved to Amarillo. He retired as a railroad conductor after 38 years. He married Bettie Jo Crumpton Decker in 1977 at Amarillo. She died in 1997. Survivors include three sons, Dale E. Decker of Edmond, Okla., Wayne Lee Decker of Ludlow, Wash., and John Damon; six daughters, Sharon Kay Kinser of Dimmitt, Bertielle Damon, Helen Damon, Mary Dry and Sharon Meeks, all of California, and Kathy Love of Lubbock; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Katherine Hubbard HEREFORD - Katherine Hubbard, 77, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Mrs. Hubbard was born in Ada, Okla. A longtime Hereford resident, she was a homemaker. She married Leabert Hubbard in 1940 at Tempe, Ariz. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Paul and Billy Hubbard, both of Hereford, and Larry Hubbard of Shamrock; two daughters, Linda Perry of Hereford and Kathy Payne of Kansas; a brother, Dr. Franklin Jones of Bethesda, Md.; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Joe Lynn Franks QUANAH - Joe Lynn Franks, 52, of Longview, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Spangler, minister of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park. Mr. Franks was born in Clarksville. He was an Army veteran who served two tours of duty in Vietnam. A former Quanah resident, he moved to Longview in 1982. Mr. Franks was a retired crane operator for a construction company. He was a Baptist. He married Margaret Ann Gordy in 1982 at Longview. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Stanley Scott of Joshua and Jeff Brown of Austin; two daughters, Angie Kates of Bryan and Katie Franks of Longview; two brothers, Jerry Franks of Vernon and James Franks of Lefors; a sister, Lena Stewart of Chillicothe; and two grandchildren. Eunice Hagan SUNRAY - Eunice Hagan, 89, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in United Methodist Church of Hollis, Okla., with the Rev. Don Hall officiating. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Dumas Cemetery in Dumas by Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf, Okla. Mrs. Hagan was born in Wagoner, Okla., attended elementary school and graduated from high school in Garden City, Kan. She attended junior college in Garden City and then graduated from the University of New Mexico in Las Vegas. Mrs. Hagan received her master's degree from West Texas State University. For 19 years, she taught school in Sunray and Claude. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Harmon County Home Extension Club and the Methodist Church. She married Joseph Henry Hagan in 1930 at Clayton, N.M. He died in 1962. Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Tyson of Hollis and Alice Barber of Amarillo; a sister, Elsie Vanderpool of Denver; five grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. Sue Fowler MEMPHIS - Sue Fowler, 78, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. O.K. Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Fowler was born in Hall County. She retired from GTE after many years of service and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Johnny Fowler in 1938 at Canyon. He died earlier in March. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Young of Southlake; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Clifton A. Rhodes PADUCAH - Clifton A. Rhodes, 80, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Missionary Baptist Church of Paducah with the Rev. Keith Prather, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories by Seigler Funeral Home of Paducah. Mr. Rhodes was born in Paducah and lived in Abilene for 17 years before returning to Paducah in 1994. He retired as equipment operator for the Texas Highway Department and was a member of Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. His first marriage was to Lurline Branscum in 1937 at Cottle County. She died in 1973. He then married Maurine Jones in 1975 at Abilene. She died in 1993. Survivors include a son, Bascom Rhodes of Paducah; a daughter, Anita Miller of Fort Worth; two stepsons, John Harris and Burl Harris, both of Abilene; two stepdaughters, Evelyn Keefer of Abilene and Ruby Sheppard of Houston; a brother, Raymond Rhodes of Childress; five sisters, Lawanda Jarrel of Childress, Wilma Rose and Betty Smith, both of Fritch, Maxine Boyd of Lubbock and Ida Lee of Fabens; 17 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and four great-greatgrandchildren. Mary Flamm DALHART - Mary Flamm, 96, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dan Fultz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mrs. Flamm was born in Cameron, Mo. She attended Kansas City Business College and worked in Kansas City as a legal secretary. She moved to Dalhart in 1945. Mrs. Flamm and her husband owned the Gamble Store until 1950 when they entered the dairy business in the Pennington community near Clayton, N.M. In 1957, they moved their dairy to Dalhart and sold it in 1960. They owned the B&B Cafe until 1972. Mrs. Flamm was ordained and installed as ruling elder in the First Presbyterian Church. She served as treasurer and clerk session. She married Harold Flamm in 1927 at Chicago. He preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Keetch of Amarillo, Pat Bernson of Burnett and Ann Reynolds of Dalhart; a son, Willis Flamm of Austin; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Connolly Esther Connolly, 84, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 29, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Connolly was born in Erath County and moved to Amarillo in 1971 from Shamrock. She was a teacher and a member of First Baptist Church, Heritage Club and National Retired Teachers Association. For several years, she served at the First Baptist Church Buchanan Street Community Service Center. She married Milton Bruce Connolly in 1935 at Erath County. He died in 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Martha Atchley of Amarillo and Mary Connolly of Bedford; two brothers, Lloyd Grissom of Anson and Harold Grissom of Abilene; a sister, Laverne Hicks of Irving; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce St. Mr. Ozee was born in Everman and was an Army veteran of World War II. Annice Wayne Proctor Annice Wayne Proctor, 84, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia, with the Rev. Tommy Ewing of First United Methodist Church of Tulia, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Restlawn Memorial Park in Hereford. Mrs. Proctor was born in Stowell and moved to Amarillo in 1987 from Ranger. She was a homemaker and member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She married Austin M. Proctor in 1945 at Muleshoe. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980 and by a daughter, Bobbe J. Penn, in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline M. Stoval of Amarillo and Norma L. Abrego of Dallas; three sons, William W. McKinney and Danny Lee Proctor, both of Amarillo, and Archie C. Dr. Barton Elmore Freeman Dr. Barton Elmore Freeman, 58, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Roy S. Wheeler and the Rev. Scott Greer, senior ministers, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Dr. Freeman was born in Houston where he graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1958. He moved to Amarillo in 1971 from San Antonio. He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Houston in 1966 with a minor in biology. At the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio in 1969, he co-authored a paper with Dr. Richard McClosky on infectious diseases. Dr. Freeman received his medical degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1970 and did his internship at Bexar County Hospital from 1970-1971. He served in the Army from 1971 until 1973. Dr. Freeman had a private practice in Amarillo from 1973 until 1994. He was a part-time faculty member of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1993 and became full-time in 1995. He was later named program director of the department of family and community. In 1993, he was president of M.D. Physicians, a group of 126 cooperating doctors who built the outpatient medical center at 34th Avenue and Soncy Road. He was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical honor society, in 1996 and also was a member of Alpha Epison Delta. He was named Outstanding Family Physician of the Year in 1997 by the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. In both 1998 and 1999, he was elected Outstanding Faculty member by the Texas Tech medical students. He was president and chairman of the board of M.D. Physicians Insurance Co. and M.D. Physicians Health Systems. He served as a chief of staff at Northwest Texas Hospital for 1992. He was on the board of governors for IHS of Amarillo from 1994 until 1997. Dr. Freeman was elected to the River Road Independent School District board of trustees in 1984 and served until 1987. He was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. He married Abie Aycock in 1964 at Houston. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Frank Freeman of Portland, Maine, Keenan Freeman of Lubbock, Patrick Freeman of Gainesville, Ga., and Jon Freeman of Houston; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. They request memorials be to the Barton E. Canyon Norma Jean Roberts Winningham Norma Jean Roberts Winningham, 70, of Canyon, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Land, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Private burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Winningham was born in Goree and lived in Amarillo from 1960 to 1972 when she moved to El Paso. She worked for Cardon and Company Realtors in El Paso as a sales associate until 1992. She also had lived in Canyon. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Childress. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Winningham, in 1981 and by a son, David Winningham, in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Amy Winningham of Irvine, Calif.; a son, Rick Winningham of El Paso; a brother, David Roberts of Amarillo; a sister, Bonnie Mills of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Oklahoma Molita LeFors Eastland TULSA, Okla. - Molita LeFors Eastland, 93, of Tulsa, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery at Pampa, Texas, with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Eastland was born on the Perry LeFors Ranch east of Pampa. She was a resident of Shamrock, Texas, and Beaumont, Texas, before moving to Tulsa five years ago. She attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas. She had worked as a secretary for an abstractor. She volunteered at various hospitals and was a member of the Women's Club and Friendship Club. She married James H. Eastland Jr. in 1933 at Palestine, Texas. He died in 1990. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Dorothy Doucette Biery of Tulsa and Berton Doucette of Pampa. New Mexico Marvin E. Langtimm CLOVIS, N.M. - Marvin E. Langtimm, 70, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church at Davenport, Iowa, by Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Local arrangements were by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Lantimm worked for ALCOA for more than 40 years until his retirement in 1993. He married Louise Orn in 1958 at Davenport, Iowa. She died in 1993. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Allan (Cindy) McLouth of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Bill (Lisa) Leos of Clovis; a son, Kevin Langtimm of Iowa City, Iowa; two brothers, Duane Langtimm of Bettendorf, Iowa and Vernon Langtimm of Davenport; a stepbrother, Mick Fraser of Phoenix; and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by SteedTodd Funeral Home. Mr. Anson was born in Broadview and was a lifelong resident of the Clovis area. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a Baptist minister, a carpet layer and a route salesman in the Clovis/Portales areas. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He married Margaret Maxey in 1956 at Lawton, Okla. Survivors include four sons, William G. Carlos Chavez as celebrant. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mrs. Padilla was born in Los Canoncitos, N.M., and moved to Clovis in 1939. A homemaker, she was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community, La Casa Senior Citizen Center and was an avid quilter. She married Roman Padilla in 1927 at Santa Rosa. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Alice Montano of Texico; a son, Raymond Padilla of Clovis; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 1000 State St. in Texico. Gloria P. Phillips CLOVIS, N.M. - Gloria P. Phillips, 51, of Hobbs, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Friday in The Chapel, 1500 Thornton. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community with Daniel Chavez, deacon, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips was born in Santa Rosa. She employed for 10 years by GTE and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary No. 3189 of Hobbs. She was of the Catholic faith. She married Jim Phillips in 1965 at Clovis. Survivors include a daughter, Lu Ann Mahan of Clovis; a son, James C. Phillips of Hobbs; her mother, Lucy Chavez of Clovis; four brothers, Andy Chavez of Amarillo, Alfred Chavez of Hobbs, Daniel Chavez of Houston and Ruben Chavez of Puyallup, Wash.; four sisters, Linda Tomlinson of Tacoma, Wash., Rose Surratt of Lovington, Chris Morgan of Clovis and Margaret Fritz of Hobbs; a special friend, Lydia Chavez of Hobbs; and two grandchildren.
