He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of Garden Meadow 1475 VFWDAV Chapter No. 26 and of the American Legion Post No. 54. He married Anna Lorene Shaw in 1947. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sheila A. Hickson of Pascagoula, Miss.; a sister, Edith Hecht of Portsmouth, Va.; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Eloise Moore Eloise Moore, 74, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Mr. Hulsey was born in Cleburne and served in the Navy during World War II. He worked in security at the Double Dip and Mann Bakery and Pantex, where he retired as Chief of Security in 1985. He was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge No. 1239, a lifetime member of the Bandits Golf Team and of Southwest Amarillo Church of Christ. He married Doris Lorraine Davis in 1938. She died in 1992. He was also preceded in death by a son, Darrell Lee, in 1958. She had lived in Amarillo most of her life, and was a Baptist. She married Kenyeth K. Houtchens in 1940. Survivors include her husband; a son, Terry W. Houtchens of Amarillo; two daughters, Susie McWain and Judi Glidewell, both of Canyon; a brother, James Monroe Baker of Arizona; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She graduated from Wellington High School, was a member of Central Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She had patterns of some of her quilts published. She married Worren Odell Holley in 1938. He died in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Worren O. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Canyon George T. Stevens Jr. George T. Stevens Jr., 73, of Canyon, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Stevens was born in Bomarton and graduated from West Texas State College in 1951 with a bachelors in Primary Education. He worked at the Post Office as assistant Postmaster in both Canyon and Denver City and retired in 1978. He served as manager for the Canyon Chamber of Commerce, was in charge of the inventory at West Texas State University, coached and umpired baseball in the Babe Ruth League, kept stats for West Texas State University football games, was a board member of the Federal Land Bank, and worked for 10 years at the Wal-Mart in Canyon. He served in the Navy during World War II, in Hong Kong in 1951 and was past Post Commander of VFW. He married Shirley Thurmond in 1946. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Ronnie Stevens of Tucson, Ariz., Wallace Stevens of Texas, Philip Stevens and Wilkes Stevens, both of Canyon; a sister, Clay Adams of Ruidosa, N.M.; a brother, Jim Hill of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. todayin Dunn Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. John C. Daniel, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Hawk was born in Cisne, Ill. and moved to Tucumcari in 1963. He retired as a major from the Army after serving 22 years, including both World War II and the Korean War, and with the Army Advisory Group for the New Mexico National Guard. After retiring from military service, he worked as a night auditor for Pow Wow Best Western Motel. He was a member of the Catholic church. Survivors include four sons, Michael Hawk of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Phillip Hawk of Las Vegas, Timothy Hawk of Albuquerque, N.M. and Matthew Anderson of Lubbock; a daughter, Diane Hawk of Valpariaso, Fla.; and three grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing from prior to the vigil service today until prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Cunningham was born in Purcell, Okla., was a farmer and rancher, and a member of First Baptist Church in Morton. He married Florence Freeman in 1933. Lewis Ellis, pastor of Lefors First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens at Pampa. Mr. Nichols was born in Sunset. He graduated from Park Springs High School in 1932 at Wise County. He had lived in Fort Sumner, N.M. for several years before moving to Pampa in 1934. He was a driller for Magnolia Oil Co. at Pampa. In 1943, he became an oil field superintendent for Clayton Dwyer Drilling Co. which later became Hawley Oil Co., and was located on the little Seminole Ranch south of Pampa. He retired in January after 55 years. He was a member and an elder of First Baptist Church of Lefors. He had been a deacon over 23 years. He married Viola Brainekool in 1939 at Shamrock. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jane Louise Blair and Mary Ann Osborn, both of Amarillo and Edith Elaine Morris of Waco; a son, Jerry K. Pearl Ann Langley PAMPA - Pearl Ann Langley, 62, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999. Cremation was by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Langley was born in Marble City, Okla. and had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She married Richard C. Langley in 1959. Mr. Jones was born in Butler, Okla. and came to Pampa in 1979 from Truth or Consequences, N.M. He was a longtime farmer in Donley County, and a former resident of Groom. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966 AF & AM, El Paso Scottish Rite Consistory, Pampa Shrine Club and the Khiva Temple of Amarillo. He married Lela B. Johnson in 1927. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1997 and by a son, Hershel Jones in 1938. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Jones of Groom and Billy T. Mr. Mote was born in Spring Valley and graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Agronomy in 1950. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hand in Hand Sunday school class, Men's Prayer Breakfast, the Plainview Bass Club and the Air Force Air Cadets during World War II.
