Osage St. Mr. Boyles was born in Amarillo and graduated from Canyon High School in 1988. He attended Texas Tech University and West Texas A&M University. For several years, he was a machinist at Allied Machine and Welding. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church. She moved to New York to join her uncle's band, the Billy Maples Band, as a singer and dancer. She returned to Amarillo and in 1961, began a career in nursing at St. Anthony's Hospital. Later she worked at High Plains Baptist Hospital until her retirement in 1981. She married Joseph Pulley in 1953. Survivors include her husband. There will be no viewing at the funeral home. Ray H. He had been a farmer in Swisher County for 20 years, and retired from Phillips Petroleum Company. He was a member of the Sheriffs Association, and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ina, in 1994, and by a son, Buddy, in 1969. He was a member of Wesley Comrades Sunday school class and San Jacinto United Methodist Church. He married Ruth Cornell in 1943. Mr. Bautista was a lifetime resident of Morton where he was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He was a truck driver and the 1969 Junior Golden Gloves Boxing champion. He married Ninfa Flores in 1974 at New Home. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Omar Louis Bautista and Jason Bautista of Morton; his father, Joe Bautista of Morton; four sisters, Aurora Dominguez of Fort Worth, Lucy Lovington of Hereford, Dolores Acosta of Ralls and Ana Marie Bautista of Portales, N.M.; and a brother, Arnold Bautista of Levelland. Maudine Dana Richmond TURKEY - Maudine Dana Richmond, 81, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Church of Christ, Turkey, with Stuart Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Turkey. Mrs. Richmond was born in Gasoline where she graduated from high school in 1935. A resident of Turkey since her marriage, she farmed with her husband and was a member of the Turkey Church of Christ. She married E.D. Richmond in 1939 at Rock Creek. He died in 1984. Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Richmond of Houston and Ronnie Richmond of Anson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Gladys Horton Whitacre PLAINVIEW - Gladys Horton Whitacre, 95, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, and Michael Struve, chaplain for Covenant Health Care Systems in Lubbock, officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Whitacre was born in Osceola, Iowa, and moved to Hale Center in 1909 where she graduated from high school in 1921. She received her teaching certificate from West Texas Normal College and taught in Ware before moving to Lakeview. For 17 years, Mrs. Whitacre taught at Hale Center and was principal of the high school. In 1952, she moved to Plainview and taught biology. Mrs. Whitacre chartered the Junior National Honor Society at Plainview High School, was a member of Plainview Delphin Club, Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and First United Methodist Church. She married Cecil A. Whitacre in 1929 at Plainview. He died in 1976. Survivors include a sister, Minnie Horton Struve of Abernathy, nieces and nephews. A.G. Grisham HEREFORD - A.G. Grisham, 97, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Christian Assembly Church, Hereford, with the Rev. Dale Barnes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park, Stillwater, Okla. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mr. Grisham came to Texas in 1908 from Oklahoma. In 1949, he moved from Natalia to Deaf Smith County, where he was a farmer and a member of Christian Assembly Church. He married Lillie A. Gunn in 1922. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1989 and by a son, Wayne Grisham, in 1928. Survivors include two sons, Jim Grisham of Council Grove, Kan. and Milford Grisham of Hereford; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five greatgreat-grandchildren. The family will be 11/2 miles south on Main Street in Hereford, and suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Tom B. Dunn PAMPA - Tom B. Dunn, 82, died Feb. 19, 1999. Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. J.C. Burt, pastor of Barrett Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by the funeral home. Mr. Dunn was born in Weston and had been a resident of Pampa for 46 years. He was a Baptist and was active in the Boy Scouts, where he received the Silver Beaver Award, the highest award given to an adult, and sponsored several National Boy Scout Jamborees. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in the Philippines during World War II. He retired from Celanese Corp. in 1982. He married Bernice Coleman in 1940. She died in 1982. Survivors include three daughters, Beth Young of Pampa, Donna Casey of Dallas, and LeAnn Stephenson of Livingston; two sons, Joe Dunn of Amarillo, and Scott Dunn of La Place, La.; a sister, Katherine Goforth of Plano; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a member of First Baptist Church in White Deer and of White Deer Senior Citizens. He married Irene Stone in 1944. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home, Childress. Mrs. Nelson was born in Childress. She worked in the food Industry, beginning as a Morton Foods distributor. She moved to Dallas in 1957, was appointed executive director of North Texas Grocers Association in 1980, a post she held for nine years, and moved back to Childress. She was president of Childress County Heritage Museum board of directors, former executive director of Childress Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Central Christian Church. She married William Thomas "Dub" Nelson in 1938. He died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nelda, in 1947. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Nelson Gayle of Angleton; a brother, Jeff Hassell of Fort Worth; a sister, Lonene Miller of Midland; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She retired as owner of a grocery store and moved to San Antonio four years ago. She was a Baptist. She married Claude H. Cacy in 1946 at Clovis, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962 and by a daughter, Olga Turnbo, in 1993. Survivors include a brother, Gary Breeden of Lebanon, Ohio; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Tyler G. Loshy LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Tyler G. Loshy, 16, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Christ Fellowship Church of Atlanta, Norcross, Ga., with Joe McReynolds, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Gwinnett Memorial Park by Bill Head Funeral Homes, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel in Tucker. A native of Dallas, Tyler was a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 594 of Calvary Chapel-Gwinnett and the Community Church of Christ in Loganville. He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Loshy. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Renee and Jeff Tarbutton of Lawrenceville; six sisters, Bethany, Joanna, Rebekah, Abigail, Lydia and Corrie Tarbutton, all of Lawrenceville; five brothers, Jordan Loshy of England and Joel, Joshua, Luke and Jonathan Tarbutton, all of Lawrenceville; his grandparents, Reba and John Dellis of Amarillo, Gwen and Steve McKinney of Dallas and Georgia and Tommy Ware of Durango, Colo.; and his great-grandparents, Everetta Loshy of Titusville, Fla., and Edith Ware and Corinne Reed, both of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be in Tyler's memory to the Voice of the Martyers. Ralph William Moore LUBBOCK - Ralph William Moore, 65, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Church of Christ in Matador with Dennis Zahn of Liberal, Kan., and Michael G. Crowley, minister, officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted and burial will be at East Mound Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home of Matador. Mr. Moore was born in Gatewood, Mo., and had been a resident of Lubbock for the past 20 years. He retired from the Air Force in 1972, worked as a prison guard, and in heavy equipment maintenance. He was a member of Church of Christ. He married Lois Jannette Anderson in 1951. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janna Wagner of Lubbock; a son, Jerry R. Moore of Georgia; his mother, Hester Moore Hopkins of West Plains, Mo.; a brother, Raymond Edward Moore of West Plains, Mo.; a sister, V. Ruth Brewer of West Plains, Mo.; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. New Mexico R.R. Kirby PLEASANT HILL, N.M. - R.R. Kirby, 71, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Craven officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery by the funeral home. Mr. Kirby grew up in Pleasant Hill and in Grady, N.M. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Clovis for 20 years, moved to Slaton in 1971 and continued to work for Santa Fe Railroad until his retirement in 1986. He served with the Marines in World War II. He married Mary Ellen Newman in 1950. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Scott Kirby and Roger D. Kirby, both of Lubbock, and Gary Kirby of Warner Robins, Ga.; five brothers, Cecil Kirby of Baileyville, Ill., Vernon Kirby of Soper, Okla., Charles Kirby of Enterprise, Ala., Jim Kirby of Springfield, Tenn., and Mike Kirby of El Paso; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Area Dr. Alfredo L. Juan PAMPA - Dr. Alfredo L. Juan, 52, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church, with the Rev. John Valdez, pastor, officiating. Cremation will be by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Dr. Juan was born in Manila, Philippines. He received his doctorate of medicine (cum laude) from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila in 1971. He received his surgical residency training at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, N.Y. He moved to Pampa in 1980 from New York. He maintained a private practice in Pampa from 1980 to 1996, when he became affiliated with Family Medicine Center. He was a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the International College of Surgeons, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Frank Keim Council Knights of Columbus. He served as chief of surgery from 1986-88, and had been a member of the Board of Trustees of Columbia Medical Center, Pampa, from 1990 until 1992. Survivors include his wife, Tracy; four sons, Jose Juan of New York, Francis Juan of Los Angeles, Calif., Justin Juan and Jamie Juan, both of Pampa; three daughters, Jennifer McMichael of Sandy, Utah, Mary Jane Lamb of Gales Ferry, Conn., and Joy Juan of Los Angeles; his father, Fernando Juan of Manila; a sister, Erlinda de Ramos of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School.
