Overman OSWEGO, Kan. - Dorothy I. Overman, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Murdock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Whetstone officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery northwest of Hallowell. Mrs. Overman was born in Canton and raised in rural Oswego, where she attended school. She had worked at the former Handley Greenhouse at Oswego and also at the former Oswego Quest House for 17 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chetopa, Rebekah Lodge 162 and the Oswego/Altamont Grange. She married David E. Overman in 1938 at Labette City, He died in 1959. She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Overman and Shirley Cousatte. Survivors include two sons, Gordon L. Overman of Oswego and David E. Overman of Aurora, Colo.; two sisters, Betty L. Harrington and Mildred M. Ferch, both of Oswego; two brothers, Lester I. "June" Foster of Coffeyville and Roland G. Foster of Odessa, Texas; and three grandchildren. No family visitation is planned, but friends may call at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. Johnson was born in Clarendon. For several years, she worked in photography in McAllen. With her husband, she farmed for 30 years in Hereford then moved to Lubbock in 1979. She married Julian Johnson in 1944 at McAllen. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Melissa Gulley and Patty White, both of Lubbock; a brother, Aubyn Hodges of Amarillo; a sister, Jesslyn Williams of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. William T. Hollabaugh LUBBOCK - William T. Hollabaugh, 78, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in City of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. Mr. Hollabaugh was born in Plattsburg, Mo., and moved to Lubbock in 1974 from Odessa. He graduated from Adrian High School, Westminster University in Fulton, Mo., and West Texas State University. Mr. Hollabaugh retired as a major from the Air Force and then retired as an engineer from Southwestern Bell. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers, First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo and attended Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lubbock. He married Patricia Gumbert in 1945 at St. Joseph, Mo. She was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church and was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star Hollis Chapter at Hollis, Okla., affiliated with A.E. Shirley Chapter in Amarillo. She married Douglas Story in 1974. He died in 1984. Survivors include a brother, Dean Cleere of Amarillo; a sister, Fern Jones of Chandler, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. He was an Army veteran who served in Korea and Japan. He spent most of his life on ranches in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado and then settled in Dalhart. Mr. Bachman was a rancher and horse trainer. He retired as assistant feed mill manager from Coronado Feeders in Dalhart. He was active with the Dallam County 4-H Equestrian Boys and Girls Club. In 1994, Mr. Bachman moved to Amarillo. He was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church. He married Joy Elliott in 1977. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Elliott of Fritch; four daughters, Roberta Hollers of Dalhart and Emma Briggs, Kim Butler and Lori Walterscheid, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Alvin Bachman of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Richard Bachman of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Dorothy Foster of Amarillo and Norma James of Plains, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Anna Lee Robinson-Wilson Anna Lee Robinson-Wilson, 72, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999. She was a docent for the Amarillo Art Center. She married James A. Wilson in 1946 at Richmond. Fauske, 75, of Fritch and a former Amarillo resident, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Shawn Smith officiating. Mr. Fauske was born in Claude. He was a police officer for Amarillo and then was a probation officer. For many years, he volunteered for the YMCA and Kids, Inc. In 1987, he moved to Fritch. He married Mollie M. Moore in 1947 at Clovis, N.M. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995 and by a daughter, Geneva Jean, in 1982. Mrs. Deakin was born in Liberal, Kan. She grew up in Guymon and graduated from Guymon High School in 1963. She attended college at Panhandle State University. New Mexico Gwendolyn Dale Edmondson DES MOINES, N.M. - Gwendolyn Dale Edmondson, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at Albuquerque. Mrs. Edmondson was born in Gage, Okla., and moved with her family when she was 5 years old to Las Vegas. She graduated from New Mexico Highlands University in 1939 and was an accomplished concert pianist. She married Philip R. Edmondson in 1940 at Las Vegas, N.M., and they lived in the Des Moines and Clayton areas of Union County until 1983 when they retired and moved to Grants. She served as Worthy Grand Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter in Clayton and was active in the Emmaus Ministry. She also was a supporter of numerous local and state charity activities. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992. Survivors include a brother, Art Maxey of Sequim, Wash.; a sister, Billie Fisher of Yuma, Ariz.; two daughters, Bobbye Swagerty of Grants, and Mary Jackson of Soldotna, Alaska; two sons, Roger Edmondson of Raton and Rusty Edmondson of Del Norte, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Emmett, in 1956 and by a daughter, Carolyn Chambliss, in 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dean McNamara, chaplain of Family Hospice of the Plains in Plainview, officiating. Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mr. Rousser was born and raised on the family farm west of Kress. He was a lifelong resident of Swisher County. He attended schools at Center Plains and graduated from Kress High School in 1930. Mr. Rousser was a farmer and a cattleman. In 1963, he moved to Tulia where he was a member of Center Plains Church. He married Ethel Northcutt in 1979 at Amarillo. His first marriage was to Laura Jane Phillips in 1935 at Matador. She died in 1977. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary North of Amarillo and Ruth Williams of Kress; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Charles Arthur Lee Evans STINNETT - Charles Arthur Lee Evans, 76, of Cordell, Okla., and a former Stinnett resident, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Stinnett with the Rev. Orville Rogers, pastor, and the Rev. Paul Jones, pastor of Birch Chapel Assembly of God Church in Spiro, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. A native of Beaver County, Okla., Mr. Evans was a longtime resident of this area. During World War II, he served as a submariner in the Navy. He was retired from Phillips Petroleum Refinery and was a member of First Baptist Church in Stinnett. He married Floriene Larkey in 1947 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Hardin and Lee Hardin, both of Cordell; a daughter, Cheryl Evans Kliewer of Cordell; two brothers, Wayne Evans of Borger and Keith Evans of Stinnett; five grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Mr. Stephenson was born in Willow and lived in the Willow-Mangum area. After finishing school, he held a variety of careers with the most recent in security. He was affiliated with the Methodist church. Alvin Petty, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Annie E. Young Cemetery in Shelluane, Ky., by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mr. Nichols was born in Canada and was an Army veteran of World War II. In 1973, he moved to Friona from Alamogordo, N.M. He was a member of the Friona Country Club and Calvary Baptist Church. He married Eva Marie Parker in 1973 in Dallas. He was preceded in death by a son, Lorenzo Dudley Nichols Jr., in July 1998. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Betty June Manchak of California, Md., three stepsons, Billy Lee Parker of Amarillo, Jerry Parker of Canyon and Danny Parker of Porter; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Alexander, in 1989 and by a daughter, Edwanna Opdenhoff, in 1981. Ira Ott HEREFORD - Ira Ott, 103, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeramy Grant, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mr. Ott was born in Potosi, Wis., and moved to Texas in 1910. He lived in Plainview and then moved to Deaf Smith County in 1921. He was a farmer and rancher. During World War I, Mr. Ott served in the Army Air Corps with the Lafayette Escadrille. Earlier this year, he received the National Order of the Legion of Honour from the French government. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He married Pet Finch in 1930 at Clovis, N.M. He is survived by several nephews, including Robert Lee Ott of Waubleau, Wis. The family will be at 120 Northwest Dr. They suggest memorials be to First Presbyterian Church of Hereford or one's favorite charity. M.M. Treinen BOVINA - M.M. Mr. Treinen was born in Sidney, Neb., and moved to Bovina in 1969 from Torrington, Wyo. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Bovina Lions Club. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tracy Treinen of Billings, Mont., and Jenniffer Clyde of Spearfish, S.D.; two brothers, Matt Treinen of Sidney and Stanley Treinen of Hoquiam, Wash.; a sister, Bernice Zaleskey of Sterling, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Johnson of Slaton and Tammy Garrison of Amarillo; a stepson, Charlie Dow of Friona; two stepsisters, Betty Dudley of Twin Falls, Idaho and Ruth Carter of Phoenix; two stepbrothers, George Hare of Sidney and Floyd Hare of Burly, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
