Georgia St. Mrs. Moore was born in Vinson, Okla. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married Hardy D. Moore in 1957. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Dale Reese Moore of Amarillo; three daughters, Chiquita Knight and Regina Jackson, both of Amarillo, and Brenda Burton of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Peggy Nelson of Amarillo and Betty Lou Vaughn of Abilene; a brother, Jimmy Keesee of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. She was a homemaker and the co-owner and operator of Playmore Roller Rink. She was a member of East Amarillo Church of Christ. She married Joe Amerson in 1944. He died in 1989. E. Howard Dickey E. Howard Dickey, 84, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999. Mr. Dickey was born in Woonsocket, R.I. He was employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglas of Toledo, Ohio, for 40 years. As corporate construction managing engineer, he was in charge of the construction of OwensCorning plants in Waxahachie in 1963, in Conroe in 1971 and in Amarillo in 1977. Mr. Dickey was a 53-year member and past master of Mount Moriah Lodge 8 at Limerock, R.I. He also was a member of First Christian Church and the Khiva Shrine where he was active in the Khiva Duffers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marion Thorne Dickey. He married Viola Blais Tetreault in 1967 at Huntingdon, Pa. Survivors include his wife; five children, David E. Dickey of Marysville, Tenn., E. Howard Dickey IV of Leonard, Minn., Erin Heidi Wiggins of Henderson, Nev., Mary Lou Lemaire of Bolton, Conn., and Marion Joyanne Campbell of Glastonbury, Conn.; two stepchildren, J. The body will not be available for viewing. Robert S. Hooks Robert "Bob" S. Hooks, 91, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999. Mr. Hooks was born in Clarendon and had lived in Amarillo since 1907. He served in the Navy during World War II where he was a carpenter first class. He served in the South Pacific. He was a Baptist, a former member of the American Rifle Club, the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association and the Carpenters Union. His first marriage was to Ruth Crawford in 1935 at Amarillo. She died in 1981. In 1983, he married Hattie Kiehl at Amarillo. She died in 1994. Survivors include a cousin, Dona Sue Williamson of Newark, Calif.; two nieces, Sarah Morton of Fort Worth and Martha Sue Tepera of Lindsay; and special friends, Elmo Hill and Andy and Edith Denille, Susan and Kirk Crutcher and Sarah and Abby Crutcher, all of Amarillo. A homemaker, she moved to Amarillo in 1990 from Georgia. She was of the Lutheran faith. She married Curtis C. Griffin in 1990 at Amarillo. Dennis Hethcox Dennis Hethcox, 58, of Amarillo, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Billy T. Jones of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Hethcox was born in Memphis and lived in Amarillo most of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of Palo Duro High School. An Army veteran, he served with the 101st Division Paratroopers. For seven years, Mr. Hethcox was an instrument technician at the Celanese Plant. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. He married Myrna Spitler in 1960 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Leslie R. Hethcox of Amarillo; a daughter, Joyce Delgado of San Antonio; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hethcox of Amarillo; two sisters, Gail Mehnert of Joplin, Mo., and Gaye York of Amarillo; two brothers, Lanny Hethcox of Strathmore, Calif., and Jarrell Hethcox of Lawton, Okla.; and three grandchildren. He owned Pampa Roller Rink and the Eastway and Jubilee Roller Rinks in Amarillo. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a past member of the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association. He married Bernice Willingham in 1995 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Max Franklin Holmes of Arlington; a sister, Neita Faulkner of Houston; and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Downs was born in San Jose, Calif., and had lived in Dumas since 1967. In 1974, he graduated from Dumas High School. He was an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan. He was employed as a roofer. Survivors include his mother, Billie Downs Trayler of Dumas; three sisters, Connie Coatney of Dumas, Linda Brittain of Greeley, Colo., and Shirley McReynolds of Lubbock; a brother, Tony Downs of Longmont, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survivors include five daughters, Rachel Villegas of Muleshoe, Maria A. Menduza of Friona and Alecia Villegas, Refugia Sanchez and Maria E. Oscar Palomin Sr. LOCKNEY - Oscar Palomin Sr., 50, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday in San Jose Catholic Church of Lockney. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney, priest, celebrant. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by Moore-RoseWhite Funeral Home of Lockney. Mr. Palomin was born in McAllen where he attended school. He moved to Lockney in 1970 from Idaho. He was a farmer and member of San Jose Catholic Church. He married Janie Hernandez in 1968 at Idaho. Survivors include his wife; a son, Oscar Palomin Jr.; four daughters, Amparo Mejia, Aida Palomin and Josie Palomin, all of Lockney, and Alicia Carillo of Dallas; a brother, Manuel Palomin of Mountain Home, Idaho; three sisters, Gloria Gonzales, Josephine Vela and Paula Castro, all of Mountain Home; and seven grandchildren. Guadalupe Galvan PLAINVIEW - Guadalupe Galvan, 82, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerry Kinney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Galvan was born in Hunters. She was a seamstress and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mrs. Galvan received an award for Outstanding Years of Service from the church. She was a member of RSVP and Guadalupanas. She was an Eucharistic minister and a lector. She married Aristeo Galvan in 1943 at Mexico. He died in 1983. Survivors include four sons, Armando Galvan, Javier Galvan and Jose Galvan, all of Plainview, and Miguel Galvan of Lubbock; a sister, Damiana Carmona of Plainview; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. John C. Huff FRITCH - John C. Huff, 78, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Sanford with the Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Field of Honor in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Huff was born in Electra and lived in Sanford for 43 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a contract pumper and member of Sanford First Baptist Church and the Seminole, Okla., Masonic Lodge. He married Helen Walser in 1939 at Frederick, Okla. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Pam Adams and Pat McLain, both of Fritch, and Joan Kennedy of Amarillo; a brother, S.D. Huff of Del City, Okla.; a sister, Rita Schoenhals of Fritch; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Keziah Brianne Benavidez MORTON - Keziah Brianne Benavidez, infant daughter of Rose Mary and Nicholas Benavidez III, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999. Mott, 68, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. J.C. Burt, pastor of Barrett Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Mott was born and raised in Amarillo where he was a longtime resident. A veteran of the Army, he served during the Korean War. In 1976, Mr. Mott moved to Pampa from Tucumcari, N.M. He was a former warehouse manager for Pepsi-Cola in Pampa and Amarillo. He married Pat Hart in 1953 at Spearman. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lea Mott Morris of Pampa; a son, Stephen Mott of Amarillo; two sisters, Margaret Russell of Amarillo and Martha Cooper of Fort Smith, Ark.; two brothers, James Mott of Bowie, Md., and Richard W. Mott of Amarillo; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Eugene Hutcheson HEREFORD - Eugene Hutcheson, 68, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Cosby officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors. Mr. Hutcheson was born and raised in Hereford where he attended schools. He retired as a welder for Poarches Brothers and was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Wakely of Lombard, Ill.; three sisters, Marchetta Hutcheson and Carolyn Hutcheson, both of Hereford, and Kathy Davis of Dimmitt; a brother, Karl Hutcheson of Big Spring; and two grandchildren. Ray McAdam DALHART - Ray McAdam, 76, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hass Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tash of St. Thomas Catholic Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. McAdam was born in Texhoma, Okla., and raised in Dalhart where he attended school. He joined the Army in 1942 and served in the Burma campaign during World War II. After the war, he returned to Dalhart where he was an auctioneer and an auto salesman. Mr. McAdam later owned and operated Morgan Building and Kirby Co., of Dalhart until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Disabled Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He married Sylvia Blades in 1967 at Lubbock. Survivors include his wife of Amarillo; a daughter, Jeanne Fairbanks of Amarillo; two sons, Dean Roper of Amarillo and Don Roper of Oklahoma City; a sister, Gladys McAdam of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
