Burial will be in Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, Calif., by Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier. Mr. Linfoot was born in Altadena, Calif. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and was a mechanical engineer for Flow Service Corp. He married Betsy Salter in 1973 at Downey, Calif. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Raymond Linfoot, in 1975. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 4, 1999 Iris Lemoin Outlaw QUANAH - Iris Lemoin Outlaw, 90, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clinton Young, minister of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Quanah Memorial Park. Mrs. Outlaw had lived in Quanah most of her life. She graduated from Quanah High School in 1928. She was a volunteer at Hardeman County Memorial Hospital and was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She married William Herbert "Shorty" Outlaw in 1928 at Quanah. He died in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Ansell Outlaw of Richardson and Curtis Outlaw of New Orleans; a sister, Pauline Moran of Childress; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 4, 1999 Glen Edwin Shrader PERRYTON - Glen Edwin Shrader, 89, of Brighton, Colo., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mr. Shrader was born in Silex, Mo., and moved to Ochiltree County in 1915 with his family. In 1927, he graduated from Perryton High School. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Cheyenne Wells, Colo., in 1946. In the 1930s, Mr. Shrader was time keeper and payroll clerk for government projects in Ochiltree County. He was a farmer and rancher for most of his life. In 1946, he purchased a ranch in Cheyenne County, Colo., where he and his wife lived for 38 years. In 1984, they moved to Brighton. He married Frances Ragan in 1929 at Stinnett. She died in 1995. Survivors include a son, Glen E. Shrader Jr. of Lakewood, Colo.; three daughters, Wetah Jean Ferguson of Aurora, Colo., Mary Lou Little of Carlsbad, Calif., and Ronda Lynn Davis of Aurora; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In 1989, she retired after 23 years as secretary of Sixth Street Church of Christ where she also was a member. Mrs. May was a homemaker. She published a book of poetry in 1988. She married Hardy May in 1928 at Frederick. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978 and by an infant son, Hardy Max May, in 1929. In 1978, Mr. Trumbly received an associate's degree in business management from Frank Phillips College. He married Midori Trumbly in 1953 at Japan. She died in 1995. Mr. Bowen was born in Jack County and moved to Wellington in 1915 with his family in a covered wagon. He graduated from Wellington High School and attended Draughon's Business College. He was a musician for many churches in the area. For 27 years, Mr. Bowen was an engineer for St. Joseph's Hospital and Collingsworth General Hospital. He retired as a purchasing agent. Prior to working for the hospitals, he was a farmer, in construction and was a dispatcher for Greenbelt Electric Coop for 10 years. Mr. Bowen was a charter member and former member of the Lions Club, former member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge, Rotary Club and Kiwanis. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Iris Mozelle Graham in 1939 at Wellington. She died in 1990. Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Kresch of Orlando, Fla.; four sons, Keith Bowen of Perryton, Graham Bowen of Memphis, Dwight Bowen of Hollis, Okla., and Jerry Bowen of Claude; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Local arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Bateman was born in Lindale. She attended St. Mary's Conservatory of Music in Dallas. She worked for Baldwin Piano Co. in Dallas and was an instructor. Mrs. Bateman played piano for WRR radio station and later performed on a regularly scheduled show on WRR. After her marriage, she lived in Plainview and continued to teach piano. She substituted as organist at the First Presbyterian Church where she was a member. She married Walker H. Bateman Jr. in 1929 at Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970 and a son, Walker H. Bateman III. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Bateman of Dayton, Ohio, and James Bateman of Tool; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church, Optimist Club and Texas Restaurant Association where he served at treasurer. He married Billye Hartsell in 1955 at Memphis. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 4, 1999 New Mexico A. Morton Gragg PORTALES - A. Morton Gragg, 93, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Ross Dunn officiating. Burial with Masonic rites by Portales Lodge 26 AF&AM will be in Portales Cemetery. Mr. Gragg was born in Somerset, Ky., and moved to Nara Visa in 1913. He graduated from Nara Visa High School. While in high school, he set a state scoring record in basketball. He graduated from Lipperts Business College at Plainview, Texas. Mr. Gragg surveyed state roads for the state Highway Department. In 1930, he moved to Portales to manage Portales Hardware. He became a partner and later the sole owner until 1978. He was on the Tri-State Hardware board, and was also president. He was awarded the Gold Hammer award for 50 years in the hardware business. In addition to the hardware business, Mr. Gragg was in the farming industry. He served as president of the Roosevelt County Peanut Growers Association and was instrumental in establishing the New Mexico Peanut Growers Association. During World War II, he was on the ration board for farmer needs. From 1937 until 1938, Mr. Gragg was president of the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce. He was a 12-year member of the Portales school board, a member of the Methodist church where he served on many committees and a member of the Portales County Club. Mr. Gragg joined the Portales Rotary Club in 1941 and served as president in 1952-53. In 1994, he was awarded the Paul Harris Award from Rotary International. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge in 1946, became a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in 1948, was an honorary past master of Portales Lodge 26 and received his 50-year pin in 1996. He married Emily Wright in 1947 at Portales. She died in 1979. In 1980 at Clovis, he married Thelma Smith. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Gragg, in 1973. Survivors include his wife, Thelma; three daughters, Pat Loomis of Rockville, Md., Lu Koury of Albuquerque and Anna Lee Henry of Clovis; a stepson, James Smith of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Darlene Crane of Jemez Springs; three brothers, Ralph Gragg of Albuquerque, Wilbur Gragg of Clovis and Jim Gragg of Dallas; seven granddaughters; and 16 great-grandchildren. Peck, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at Littlefield, Texas. Burial will be in the family plot at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Peck was born in Bridgeport, Okla., and had been a longtime resident of Tucumcari. He was a rancher and a farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the Armor Division. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, in 1979. Survivors include two sons, Carl Peck of Sudan and William Peck of Kennewick, Wash.; a daughter, Linda Littlejohn of Vale, Ore.; a brother, Lloyd Peck of Geary, Okla.; a sister, Wilda Goode of Geary; 12 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Pugh was born in Guymon and was raised in Goodwell where she graduated from high school. She attended Panhandle A&M College. After her marriage, Mrs. Pugh moved to Texhoma where she was employed as bookkeeper and office manager for the Texhoma Livestock Auction. She was active in the United Methodist Church where she was choir director and soloist. She married Jerry Pugh in 1955 at Clayton, N.M. She received her bachelor of science degree from West Texas State Teacher's College and received her master's of arts degree. She taught in Texas and New Mexico until her retirement. In 1951, Mrs. Dold moved to Mason where she was a teacher and a member of Mason United Methodist Church. She married Clarence Dold in 1951 at Lubbock. He died in 1998. Survivors include a sister, Estelle Parken of Augusta, Ga.; and three brothers, Sidney Burgess of Canyon, Edmond Burgess of Salt Lake City and Winston Burgess of Amarillo.
