Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Bible Church of Pampa with the Rev. Roger Hubbard, pastor of Lake Tanglewood Community Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Kennedy was born in Bridgeport, Okla., and had been a resident of Pampa since 1922. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1924. He was a former Pampa Harvester football player. He owned and operated Kennedy Jewelry Store, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Bible Church of Pampa and a former member of the Pampa Lions Club. He married Martha Snead in 1933 at Pampa. She died in 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Martha Wilcox of Dallas and Ann Elizabeth Everhart of Lawton, Okla.; two sisters, Maleta Parker of Blacksburg, Va., and Erma Lee Barber of Pampa; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Pampa Senior Citizens Center. They will be at 2015 Duncan. Veronica Flores Aguilar HEREFORD - Veronica Flores Aguilar, 32, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church with Deacon Jesse Guerrero officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors. Mrs. Aguilar was born in Clementine, S.D. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1984. She had worked for Allsups for the last six years where she was a store manager. She was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church. She married Mauro Aguilar in 1985. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jacqueline Flores and Maria Flores, both of the home; a brother, Tony Flores of Hereford; four sisters, Violet Flores, Isabel Flores, Jessica Flores and Charlene Flores, all of Hereford; and grandparents, Jose and Benita Flores of Hereford and Juana Ortega of Laredo. David C. Dunn WHEELER - David C. Dunn, 46, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel in Pampa with the Rev. Albert Maggard, pastor of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Pampa, and Bill Morrison, minister of Wheeler Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa. Mr. Dunn was born in Pampa where he was a 1971 graduate of Pampa High School In 1987, he moved to Wheeler and was yard manager with Turner Transportation for 12 years. He was previously a pipeline welder. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Duncan, Okla. Survivors include three daughters, Shelly Dunn of Amarillo and Darci and Chelsi Dunn, both of Rangely, Colo.; his parents, Bob and Clarice Dunn of Pampa; two sisters, Cheryl Brennan of Shamrock and Gayla Bursiaga of Lubbock; a grandson; and a special friend, Tammy Jolly. James Obed Foote PLAINVIEW - James Obed Foote, 79, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Dr. Max Browning of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Foote was born in Winnsboro and graduated from Petersburg High School. He then attended Texas Tech University. In 1940, he was drafted into the Army where he served in the 112th Cavalry. In 1984, Mr. Foote retired as vice president and cashier for Hale County State Bank where he worked for 31 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and the Chamber of Commerce. He married Billie Robertson in 1948 at Memphis. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, DeLynn Brennan of Plano; a son, Mark Foote of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother, Robert Foote of Duncanville; a sister, Helen Weaver of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren. George Victor Perrin CANADIAN - George Victor Perrin, 64, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Ben Mathers of Canadian officiating. Arrangements are by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Perrin was born in Canadian where he was a longtime resident. He served in the Army then retired in 1993 after 38 years with the Texas Department of Transportation. He married Brenda Kay Guffy in 1967 at Canadian. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathleen Tyree of Wichita Falls; a son, Vic Perrin of North Richland Hills; a brother, Mike Porter of Borger; eight sisters, Ida Swanson of Guthrie, Okla., Mary Jo Languell of Blair, Okla., Peggy Miller, Diane Hornsby and Donna Hamel, all of Pampa, and Debbie Clark, Polly Chaffin and Marsha Gowin, all of Canadian; and three grandchildren. Paul Guajardo PLAINVIEW - Paul Guajardo, 33, of Washington, D.C., died Wednesday, June 2, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerard Kenney of the church officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park. Mr. Guajardo was born and raised in Plainview where he graduated from high school in 1984. He served in the Army for seven years as a Green Beret. He was employed by Neiman Marcos for eight years. A student at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Mr. Guajardo recently moved to Amarillo. Survivors include his parents, Claudio and Manuela Guajardo of Plainview; two brothers, Willie Torres of Bridgeport and Peter Guajardo of Dallas; and a sister, Gloria Guajardo of Amarillo. New Mexico Christine Maria Rodriquez CLOVIS, N.M. - Christine Maria Rodriquez, 46, of Clovis, N.M., died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, in Amarillo. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. MDT today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at San Jon. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe at San Jon. Burial will be in San Jon Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle of Amarillo. Mrs. Rodriquez was born in San Jon and had lived most of her life in Clovis. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Clovis. Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Sandoval of Ruidoso Downs and Michelle Chino of Mescalero; a son, Joseph Sandoval of Clovis; five brothers, Sammy Chacon of Fontana, Calif., Greg Chacon of Clovis, Leo Chacon and Manuel Chacon Sr., both of Amarillo, and Henry Chacon of Tucumcari; four sisters, Tillie Vigil and Kate Gonzales, both of Amarillo, Maria Chacon of Friona and Angie Pitana of Farwell, Texas; and six grandsons. Ms. O'Leary was born in Phillips, Texas, and moved to Larned in 1997 from Salina. She was a retired licensed practical nurse. Burial will be in Oklahoma Lane Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis, N.M. Mrs. Hillock was born in Walnut Springs and was a longtime resident of the Farwell/Lariat areas. She and her husband had farmed until 1958. She worked for 17 years in the Farwell High School cafeteria and later worked as a seamstress at a ladies ready-to-wear shop. She was a member of Oklahoma Lane United Methodist Church. She married Myron Hillock in 1938 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Harper of Colorado City; a son, Douglas Hillock of Elk City, Okla.; two brothers, Robert Rundell of Magnolia and Weldon "Pete" Rundell of Plainview; two sisters, Julia Symcox of Farwell and Rita Dollar of Norwood, Colo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Albertson MUNCIE, Ind. - Clarence W. Albertson, 64, died Thursday, May 27, 1999. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Friona Cemetery at Friona, Texas, with the Rev. Howard Rhodes of Dimmitt, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mr. Albertson was born in Titusville, N.J. He graduated from high school in Titusville, received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Houston and a master of divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and served during the Korean and the Vietnam wars, where he received the Bronze Star. Mr. Albertson pastored several churches in Texas, including Lane City, Beasley, Texas City and New Gulf before moving to Muncie in 1994. He was the association missionary for East Central Baptist Association serving Delaware. He was a member of Halteman Village Baptist Church. He had been married to Barbara Haygood for 41 years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Richard Albertson of Tulsa, Okla., and Jonathan Albertson of Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Rebekah Hedstrom of Mendenhall, England; his father and stepmother, John and Lillian Albertson of Springfield, Va.; his mother, Margaret Albertson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Edward Albertson of Trenton, N.J., and John Albertson of Elmira, Ore.; three sisters, Claramae Pinto of Randolph, N.J., Margaret Falzine of Trenton and Dr. Roxanne Albertson of Denton, Texas; and five grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Clarence W. Albertson Memorial Fund c/o East Central Baptist Association. Jesse W. Simmons DEERFIELD, Va. - Jesse W. Simmons, 73, a former longtime Amarillo resident, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999. No services are planned. His body was donated to medical science. Mr. Simmons was born in Monterey, Va., and had lived in Amarillo about 20 years before moving to Deerfield. He was an Army veteran of World War II. While living in Amarillo, Mr. Simmons worked for Southwestern Store Fixture Co., and as a carpenter. He also had a paper route for many years for the Amarillo Globe-News. In Virginia, he was a chef and a florist. He married Margie Elizabeth Gwin in 1947 in Virginia. Survivors include a son, Curtis Simmons of Fritch, Texas; five daughters, Wanda Roberson and Pat Simmons of Amarillo, Shirley McDonald of Covington, Ga., Alice Johnston of Tucumcari, N.M., and Elizabeth Rawson of Corpus Christi; a brother, John Simmons of Salem, Va.; a sister, Eva Ward of Deerfield; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association. James Glenn Bell Jr. LUBBOCK - James Glenn "Jim" Bell Jr., 68, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mr. Bell was born in Kansas City, Mo., and attended Rye, Colo., High School. He served in the Air Force for four years. Mr. Bell was employed as an aircraft mechanic for Boeing in Wichita, Kan., and Reese Air Force Base. From 1969 until 1977, he owned and operated a greenhouse in Morton where he raised tomatoes. In 1976, he became farm manager for C.C. Slaughter Farms in Cochran Co. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Thoreson Bell; three sons, James G. Bell III of Waxahachie, Greg Bell of Idalou and Perry Bell of Yorktown; a daughter, Renee Summers of Trinity; a sister, Carolyn Shellenberger of Wetmore, Colo.; and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to American Lung Association.
