Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Owens was born in Waco and received a bachelor's degree in music from Eastman School of Music at Rochester, N.Y., and a master's degree in music from Baylor University at Waco. She taught school at Gonzales, Bellmead and Amarillo. She also taught at Hardin Simmons University at Abilene. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and of various prayer and Bible study groups at the church. Survivors include her husband, Bill Owens; three sons, William Steven Owens of Fayetteville, Ga., Barry Wayne Owens of Odessa and Edwin Timothy Owens of Bryan; a brother, Wayne Rapier of Boston; and nine grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Trinity Baptist Church, Mission Endowment Fund, 1608 Wolflin, Amarillo, TX 79109; or Gideon International Fund. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave., with the Rev. Roy Almaroad of Mescalero Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Runnels was born in Oklahoma and had lived in Amarillo for 50 years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Her husband, Lee Runnels, died in 1975. Survivors include a grandson, John Helton of Amarillo; and two great-grandsons. The family will be at 6110 Rockwell Road and suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. Amarillo Daily News Oct. 4, 1999 Bobby Ray Wagner Bobby Ray Wagner, 72, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with Windell Taylor, chaplain of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Wagner was born in Buffalo Spring and had lived in Amarillo since 1952. He worked in oil fields and at the Smelter before joining Sheetmetal Local No. 49. He served with the Navy during World War II and was a Christian. Survivors include a son, Jerry Wagner of Tulsa, Okla.; four daughters, Phyllis Mason of Fountain Valley, Calif., Georgia Hoffmann of Hemet, Calif., Glenda Hatfield of Claude and Deanna Benson of Amarillo; a sister, Wanda Black of Hart; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Thomas was born in Quanah and had lived in Amarillo since 1939. She was a credit manager for Blackburn's Department Store for 40 years. Her son, William Harold Thomas Jr., died in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Fenberg of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Another Chance House, 207 S. Sykes, 73, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Jim Fox officiating. Military rites will be by DAV Chapter No. 26., and arrangements are by BlackburnShaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road. Mr. Sykes was born in Hale Center and served with the Army during both World War II and the Korean War. He then worked for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Perry Point, Md., and, in 1965, transferred to Amarillo, where he was a nursing assistant. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was past president of the National Federation of Federal Employees in Amarillo. He married Dixie Jo Keys in 1956. She died in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy L. Hoffman and Peggy Sykes, both of Amarillo; two sons, Larry Joe Sykes of Amarillo and Otis Sykes of Panhandle; two sisters, Elizabeth Broutherton of Pampa and Clara Sikes of Lubbock; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Community Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Sparks officiating. Mr. McGee was born in Gorman and had lived in Amarillo for 44 years. He worked as a truck driver Area Juan Perez MULESHOE - Juan Perez, 26, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday and will be recited at 8 p.m. today in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Revs. Jose Louis Chavez and Pat Maher officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Perez was born in Muleshoe and was a 1991 graduate of Muleshoe High School. He worked for Texas Sesame and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Frances Perez Del Toro and Joe Del Toro of Muleshoe; two brothers, Robert Perez Jr., of Dallas, and Eddie Perez of South Carolina; and his grandmother, Geronima Perez of Muleshoe. A Lisa Triana Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established at the First Bank in Muleshoe. Amarillo Daily News Oct. 4, 1999 Euphemia O'Daniel Seay TULIA - Euphemia O'Daniel Seay, 99, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Seay was born in Tulia. She attended McGuire School and graduated from West Texas State Teachers College at Canyon in 1922 with a bachelor's degree in art. She taught art in Eaton, Colo., before receiving a master's degree from Colorado State Teacher's College in Greely. From 1942 until 1953, she taught freshman and sophomore English at Tulia High School and, in 1984, was named Swisher County Pioneer Woman of the Year. In Tulia, she was a member of the Garden Club, Federated Woman's Club and First Baptist Church, where she taught the Senior Adult Ladies Class. She married Pat O'Daniel in 1927 at Canyon. He died in 1950. She married Dewey Seay in 1953 at Tulia. He died in 1980. Survivors include a daughter, Algine Barker of Lockney; a son, Ross O'Daniel of Tulia; three stepdaughters, Anita Bass, Betty Price, and Opal Keith, all of Lubbock; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Ann Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery at Clarendon by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Patman was born in Burkburnett and had lived in Borger for more than 50 years. She received a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University and a master's degree from West Texas State University. From 1957 until 1969 she taught mathematics at Phillips High School and from 1970 until 1983 at Borger High School. She also taught at Rosenberg, Bastrop and Alief. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Texas State Teachers Association, Hutchinson County Retired School Personnel and the Athena Club. She married Allen Patman in 1941. Survivors include her husband; three sons, William Patman of Borger, Edward Patman of Horseshoe Bay, and Daniel Patman of Carrollton; and 10 grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News Oct. 4, 1999 Raymond R. Motley OLTON - Raymond R. Motley, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Olton Cemetery with Mr. Rick Harper and the Rev. Norman Patton officiating. Arrangements are by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mr. Motley was born in Chico and was a farmer in the area. In 1956, he moved from Sundown to Olton, where he was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Nadine Barnett in 1941 at Bridgeport. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Weldon Motley of Olton and Carl Motley of Detroit, Texas; two brothers, R.L. Motley of Alvord and Eldon Motley of Midlothian; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Olton Volunteer Ambulance Association.
