Bickerstaff Merle I. Bickerstaff, 81, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Second Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Miss Bickerstaff was born in Lubbock and moved to Amarillo more than 50 years ago. She had been a ticket agent for TWA for 30 years at the city ticket office, retiring in 1973. She was a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospital for many years and was an active member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include two nephews, John Philip Bickerstaff and David Eugene Bickerstaff, both of Amarillo; and a niece, Lynette Bickerstaff-Garner of Amarillo. The family will be at 3816 N.E. 14th Ave. Ricky Wilson Ricky Wilson, 37, of Amarillo, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Vurn Martin, pastor, and the Rev. James Mims of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Mr. Wilson was born in Denver City and had lived in Amarillo most of his life. He had been a machinist at Maywood Inc. He was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Gwen; two daughters, Demetria Wilson and Teara Wilson, both of the home; two sons, Ricky Wilson Jr. and Justin Wilson, both of the home; a sister, Doris Mustatha of Amarillo; two stepsisters, Dorothy Malone of San Angelo and Sandra Douglas of Lubbock; two brothers, James Wilson of Teague and Glen Wilson of Amarillo; a stepbrother, Gary Green of Lubbock; his mother and stepfather, Eloise and J.W. Green of Amarillo; his father, Edward Wilson of Amarillo; and grandparents, Calvin and Mary Lucky of Seagraves; The family will be at 1302 N. Lincoln St. The body will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home. Barbara Eckert Barbara Eckert, 57, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Mrs. Eckert was born in Kansas City, Kan., and moved to Amarillo seven years ago from Kansas City. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Davis of Kansas City and Sharri Epson of Amarillo; a son, Forrest Epson of Amarillo; her father, Forrest Trager of Wichita, Kan.; three sisters; four brothers; and seven grandchildren. Ada Grace Farquhar Ada Grace Farquhar, 86, of Amarillo, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Roy S. Wheeler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. She married Vern Farquhar in 1929 at Henrietta. They moved to Amarillo in 1951 from Borger. She assisted her husband with managerial duties at Phillips Country Club until 1952. They moved to Ross Rogers Golf Course where they worked together for 25 years. After his death, she continued to work there until her retirement Christmas of 1997. In 1995, Mrs. Farquhar was awarded the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame Special Achievement Award for service and contribution to game of golf in Amarillo. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986. Survivors include two daughters, Joan Miller of Amarillo and Jane Oliver of Richardson; a son, John Farquhar of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Ms. Calvert was born in Coutrissou, France, and moved to the United States in 1946. She moved to Amarillo in 1947 from Oklahoma. She became a citizen of the United States in 1967. From 1970 until 1985, she worked in the housekeeping department of Northwest Texas Hospital. She was a Catholic. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Denise Lehman, in 1998. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Millen of Weston, Mass., and Annie Howerton of Amarillo; a brother, Roger Plistat of Bar-Le-Duc, France; three sisters, Monique Hazard and Josette Plistat, both of Bar-Le-Duc, and Denise Burghoffer of Berlrimoutier, France; and four grandchildren. Jack Glenn Edwards Jack Glenn Edwards, 76, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Bowlin, pastor of Bushland Baptist Church, and the Rev. James Ivey Edwards, pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church in Dalhart, officiating. He was self-employed as an upholster and was a member of Bushland Baptist Church. He married Dorothy DuPriest in 1957 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by two sons. Mullican, 73, of Amarillo, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Bill Kelley and Gary Chadwicke officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Mullican was born in Clarksville and attended schools in Arlington and Grand Prairie. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. In 1961, he moved to Amarillo. Mr. Mullican was employed as a security guard for IBP and was a truck driver. He was a member of First Christian Church in Panhandle, the Masonic Lodge, Carson Lodge in Panhandle, Khiva Temple and Scottish Rite. He was a Khiva Klown, provost and 32nd degree Mason. He married Jo Ann Stephens in 1954 at Durant, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandy Small of Medicine Lodge, Kan., and Diane Smart of Commerce; three brothers, Charles Mullican of Baytown and Johnny Morris and Don Morris, both of Arkansas; four sisters, Mary Hooten of Clarendon, Nadine Mullican of Angel Fire, N.M., and Wanda Gower and Pat Like, both of Dumas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ruth Wheeler Ruth Wheeler, 67, of Amarillo, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in N.S. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Cisco and graduated from Abilene High School. She also graduated from West Texas State University. A longtime resident of Amarillo, Mrs. Wheeler taught first grade at South Georgia Elementary School. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Robert H. "Bob" Wheeler in 1948 at Abilene. Survivors include a son, Bob Wheeler Jr., of Centerville, Md.; three daughters, Jana Jenkins of Dallas, Ann Ballew of Abilene, and Susan Oppel of Plano; a sister, Helen Erickson of Oakdale, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren. The family will be located at 4013 Oakhurst. They suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. Henry H. West Jr. Henry H. West Jr., 81, of Clayton, N.M., died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998. Private burial will be today in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. West was born in Los Angeles and was a World War II veteran of the Army. He lived in California most of his life before moving to Arizona and then to Clayton five years ago. Mr. West retired from the Department of Water and Power for Los Angeles. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Clayton and the Scottish Rite. He married Sylvanus R. Davis in 1979 at California. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debra West of Martinez, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Canyon Billy Ben Dye Billy Ben Dye, 64, of Canyon, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Canyon Christian Church with Dan Campbell, pastor, officiating. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Abernathy Cemetery in Abernathy by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Dye was born in Haskell and raised in Abernathy where he graduated from high school. He was a veteran of the Air Force and member of Canyon Christian Church. In 1991, he moved to Canyon. Survivors include two sons, Alan Dye of New York City and Darren Dye of Canyon; a daughter, Gwen Clark of Georgetown; two sisters, Claudine Dillard of Azle and Evelyn Warmuth of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, Jim Dye of Burkburnett; and five grandchildren. New Mexico Russell Richardson MELROSE, N.M. - Russell Richardson, 65, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Bushart officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Richardson was born and raised in Yuma, Colo., and moved to New Mexico in 1976. He farmed 2,000 irrigated acres north of Melrose. He attended First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Ruben Richardson of Yuma; two daughters, Amanda Richardson of Artesia and Jane Richardson of Canyon, Texas; two sisters, Katheryn Smith of Sun City, Ariz., and Margie Kautz of Weslaco, Texas; and a grandson. Rick Larry Aragon CLOVIS, N.M. - Rick Larry Aragon, 48, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Balizan officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Aragon was born in Anton Chico. In 1970, he entered the Army. He moved to Clovis three years ago where he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Sarah Aragon of Hesperia, Calif.; his mother, Dulcina Aragon of Clovis; two sisters, Modesta Navarro of Clovis and Candi Lucero of Tecolotito; and three brothers, Joe Aragon and Ben Aragon, both of Santa Rosa, and Billy Aragon of Clovis. Edward P. Budz TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Edward P. Budz, 79, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Witcher, minister of First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Budz was born in Chicago and moved to Conchas Dam in 1972. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps and retired from Western Electric Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Budz, in July and by a daughter, Sharon Ryterski. He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Elanor Lucero GUYMON, Okla. - Elanor "Nora" Lucero, 56, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in St. Peter's by Scott Adams. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by BunchRoberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Lucero was born in Clayton, N.M. She married Maximillia J. "Mack" Lucero Sr. in 1958 at Dalhart, Texas. They moved to Guymon in 1968. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; her parents, Abe and Juanita De Herrera; eight children, Michael De Herrera of Clayton, Jacob Lucero, Jeannine Taylor, Russell Lucero, Stephanie Corcoran, Mack Lucero Jr., Leslie Thye and Steven Lucero; eight brothers and sisters, Bertha Ojeda, Louis De Herrera, Joe De Herrera, Alfred De Herrera, George De Herrera, Frances Narajo, Ruby Kocer and Viola Gonzales; and 13 grandchildren. A rancher and farmer, he was a member of Balko Baptist Church. He married Marguerite Nelson in 1942 at Balko. She died in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Larry Pribble of Wellington, Texas, and Stanley Pribble of Balko; two daughters, Janet Hickey of Perryton and Carlene Wolf of Casper, Wyo.; a brother, Roy Pribble of Perryton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
