Mrs. Poulton was born in Enid, Okla., and graduated from high school in Texoma, Okla., and later a junior college in California. She was a longtime resident of Liberal. She was a waitress at several restaurants in Liberal. In 1986, she moved to Amarillo. She married Glenn N. Poulton in 1943. Survivors include two sons, Skeet Poulton of Liberal and Barry Poulton of Dodge City, Kan.; a daughter, Glenda Hunter of Amarillo; two brothers, Richard Fields of Dallas and Donald Fields of Independence, Mo.; three sisters, Rosemond Ravenscroft of Lubbock, Flo Ann Griffin of Independence and Wanda Madison of Wichita, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hollifield was born in Columbus, Ohio, and had lived in Amarillo for 25 years. She was a member of Lamount Drive Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She married Daniel C. Hollifield in 1978 in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lori Ramsey of Amarillo and Tawyna Holt of Canyon; two sons, Glenn Pagel of El Paso and Dewayne Hollifield of Amarillo; and a sister, Glenna Pedley of Tucson; and eight grandchildren. Velma Witt Keetch Velma Witt Keetch, 90, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 4, 1999. Mrs. Johnson was born in Pauls Valley, Okla., and raised in Canadian where she attended school. She moved to Amarillo in 1955 and then returned to Canadian in 1970 and moved back to Amarillo in 1991. For more than 10 years, Mrs. Johnson was a LVN at St. Anthony's Hospital. She was a member of South Lawn Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Gayle Black of Amarillo; a son, Elven Lynn Wilson of Springtown; two sisters, Kathryn of Canadian and Fern Hiltbrunner of Shamrock; two brothers, Carroll G. Sharp, 71, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 5, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Dan Melton officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Sharp was born in Arkansas and was an Army veteran. In 1961, he moved to Amarillo from Odessa. He retired in 1993 as a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was of the Baptist faith. He married Mickey Sharp in 1947 at Mississippi. She died in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Crownover of Dumas and Johnye Sharp of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Freida Cox and Melverda Scarborough, both of Tennessee; and three grandchildren. Dr. William R. Ballard Jr. Dr. William R. Ballard Jr., 80, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 4, 1999. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon. Dr. Ballard was born in Amarillo where he graduated from Amarillo High School in 1936. He was a 1943 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathy and Surgery. He served as president of the professional staff of Southwest Osteopathic Hospital from 1980 until 1981 for which he received a certificate of appreciation in 1981. Dr. Ballard was a member of the Atlas Club, the house of delegates of the Texas Osteopathic Association, a life member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Texas Osteopathic Association. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and a charter member of Tascosa Country Club. An avid golfer, Dr. Ballard attended the Top of Texas Tournaments and Senior Top of Texas Tournaments in Pampa. He was a member of the Hole-in-One Club in Pompano Beach, Fla. He married Nancy Horney in 1969 at Georgia. She died in September. Survivors include four daughters, Donna Hamilton of Katy, Bonnie Ross and Billie Vanderford, both of Amarillo, and Connie Dismuke of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Ernestine Goller of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, George Hume Ballard of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and two grandchildren. Robert Field, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Sharpe was born in Paris, Texas, and had lived in Amarillo for 43 years. For 45 years, she was a receptionist for a dental office. She was a member of Southeast Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She married Charles Sharpe in 1940 at Paris. He died in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Mask of Amarillo; a son, Scott Sharpe of Amarillo; and six grandchildren. The family will be at 612 Russell. Lillian Gray Lillian Gray, 83, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 5, 1999. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Midland with Dr. Jim Rudd officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home of Midland. Mrs. Gray was born in Mansfield, La. She lived in Amarillo for many years before moving to Midland in the early 1970s. She worked in the nursery at Memorial Christian Church. She lived in Amarillo at the time of her death. She married J.H. Gray in 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include two stepsons, John W. Gray of Cedar Park and Cubert I. Gray of Bella Vista, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Claudell Bunger; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Survivors include a sister, Sheryl McDowell of Amarillo; two brothers, Christopher Ray McDowell of Oklahoma City and Owen Dale McDowell of Amarillo; and his stepfather, Edwin "Bud" McDowell of Amarillo. Mr. Mangus was born in McMillan, Okla., and moved to Pampa in 1951 from Seiling, Okla. He worked as a roughneck in the oil fields and later as a truck driver. He worked as a machinist for Cabot Corp. a number of years, and then went to work for Vaughn Oil Co. in sales and delivery for 17 years, retiring in 1987. Survivors include a son, Larry Mangus of Pampa; three daughters, Sharron Finney and Karen Mangus, both of Pampa and Deloris Landis of Bethany, Okla.; a sister, Bertha McKinnis of Milwaukie, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Mr. Weaver was born and raised around Eureka, Kan. He worked in oil fields and was a completion engineer before retiring in 1980. He moved to Dalhart in 1982. He was a heavy equipment operator for Roy Gross Ditching for several years after moving to Dalhart. He married Wanda Jean Vagts in 1952 at Lyons, Kan. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Frank Weaver and Lynn Weaver, both of Dalhart, Rodney Wayne Weaver, Audey Eric Weaver, Timmy Dee Weaver, all of Pennsylvania; a brother, Clifford Weaver of El Dorado, Kan.; two sisters, Mary Ann Milner of Toronto, Kan., and Marjie Tracey of Hutchinson, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Born in Chico, Mrs. Ford moved to Spearman 58 years ago from Newcastle. She was a homemaker and member of Eastern Star and First Baptist Church. She married George Ford in 1943 at Newcastle. He died in 1982. Survivors include two sons, Freddie Ford of Round Rock and Teddy Ford of Perryton; a daughter, Flora Mae Campbell of Perryton; three brothers, Roy Byrd of Gruver, Billy Joe Byrd of Portales, N.M., and Herman Byrd of San Antonio; a sister, Frances Cearley of Gruver; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mrs. Garcia was born in Harding County, N.M., and raised near Bueyeros and Mosquero. After her marriage, she and her husband lived in Dalhart and Bueyeros. She was postmistress in Bueyeros from 1961 until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bueyeros. She married Leo Garcia in 1949 at Albert, N.M. He married Janie Guerra in 1959 at Muleshoe. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Yocom was born in Hope, Ark., and was a longtime Tucumcari resident. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring as an engineer in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Brandt was born in Robstown, Texas, and had been a resident of Tucumcari since 1976. He was a retired automobile mechanic. He was a member of the Tucumcari Masonic Lodge 27 and of Crystal Lake Masonic Lodge 34 of Colorado. He was a Past Noble Grand of Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Gunnison, Colo. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Reynold F. Brandt Jr. of Stow, Ohio, and Robert W. Brandt of Amarillo; a daughter, Elizabeth Zimmer of Stratford, Texas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing from 9:30 a.m. today until noon Monday. A Tucumcari resident since 1977, he had been a truck driver for Yellow Freight Trucking Co. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; four children, Edwin Voeller and Laurie Johnson, both of Sacramento, Calif., Jim McCord of Roswell and Tammy Fenner of Tucumcari; his mother, Lena Bosch of North Dakota; a brother; three sisters; and five grandchildren. Cletus Lewis CLOVIS, N.M. - Cletus "Lou" Lewis, 69, died Thursday, March 4, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in The Chapel with Troy Smothermon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery with military honors conducted by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Lewis was born in Oakland, Md. He moved to Clovis in 1971 and retired from the Air Force in 1974 as a master sergeant. He served in Vietnam and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3280. He also was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6, American Legion Post 25 and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He married Joy Evenden in 1954 at England. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Denise Long of Ridgecrest, Calif., Karen Harcrow of Clovis and Kim Narigon of Redondo Beach, Calif.; a son, Philip Lewis of South Riding, Va.; two sisters, Esther Hiser and Mabel Sisler of Maryland; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Williams VERNON - Woodrow G. "Woody" Williams, 85, died Thursday, March 4, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Presnall Wood of Dallas and Cotie Tarbet of Shamrock officiating. Burial will be in Crowell Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born in Quitman and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was retired from the maintenance and repair department of General Dynamics. In 1979, he moved to Vernon after living in Oregon and Fort Worth. He was a member of the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ. He married Edna McCurley in 1936 at Frederick, Okla. He is survived by his wife. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mary Kate Dossett Hall DALLAS - Mary Kate Dossett Hall, 84, died Thursday, March 4, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Ed. C. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Dallas. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Shooks Chapel Cemetery in Sulphur Springs. Mrs. Hall was born in Sulphur Springs. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank Maurice Dossett. Survivors include her husband, Marion Hall; two sons, William M. Dossett and Dr. K. Mike Dossett of Dallas; a daughter, Nancy Ann Jordan of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
