Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with Lavon Thompson, pastor of Life of Praise Fellowship in Amarillo, and Tim Bernard, associate pastor of Eternal Light Church of Borger, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett. Mrs. Coleman was born in Hinton, Ala., and moved to Borger in 1996 from Odessa. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Her first marriage was to Walter Hemingway, who preceded her in death. She married William E. Adams Sr., who died in 1991. She also was preceded in death by her third husband, Lamar Coleman, and by a daughter, Marie Couch. Survivors include a son, William E. Adams Jr. of Borger; a sister, Katie Mae Smith of Meridian, Miss.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 128 Womack in Borger. Dalton Howard Swinney CLARENDON - Dalton Howard Swinney, 79, died Monday, May 3, 1999. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Truman Ledbetter, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation will be at Memorial Park Crematory in Amarillo. Mr. Swinney was born in Hedley and was a lifetime resident of Donley County. During World War II, he served in the Navy. Prior to his retirement, he was a cowboy and truck driver. He married Mary Lucille Parker in 1935 at Hedley. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jackie Page of Sulphur Springs and Cydne Randall of Clarendon; a son, Jimmy W. Swinney of Clarendon; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Jewel Groom McCracken EARTH - Jewel Groom McCracken, 90, of Sudan, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Sudan Cemetery with James Withrow of Sudan officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home of Earth. Mrs. McCracken was born in Buckner Parker and graduated from Sudan High School. She was a licensed vocational nurse. In 1996, she moved to Sudan from Boron, Calif. Her first marriage was to Al Hillsman in 1938 at California. He died in 1955. She then married Harry McCracken in 1957 at National City, Okla. Survivors include two nieces, Lynette Burns and Wanda Thompson, both of Sudan; and four nephews, Theron Hill and Oville Hill both of Sudan, Dale Hill of Littlefield and Bill Groom of Puyallup, Wash. The family suggests memorials be to Sudan EMS, P.O. Box 491, Sudan, TX 79371. Lou Ethel Ellsworth SPEARMAN - Lou Ethel Ellsworth, 95, died Monday, May 3, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Joseph Weaks officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mrs. Ellsworth was born in Pocahontas, Ark., and moved to Spearman 70 years ago from Blackwell, Okla. She was employed by the Hansford Hospital District from 1966 until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Dahlia Flower Club. She married William Alvin Ellsworth in 1923 at Winfield, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966 and by a daughter, Betty Lou Mays, in 1998. Survivors include two sons, Alton Ellsworth and Wayne Ellsworth, both of Spearman; a brother, Paul Janow of Roswell, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a retired postal carrier. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Harmony Sunday School Class and National Association of Mail Carriers. He married Anna Lee Harkey in 1940 at Palatka, Fla. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joveta Unruh, in 1996. Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Christopher of Visalia, Calif., and Valry Christopher of Guymon, Okla.; a sister, Willene Auslam of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Hawley was born in Freeman, W.V., and moved to Amarillo 28 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Fellowship. She married John Hawley in 1966. He died in 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Becky Cota and Lelani Hawley, both of Amarillo; three brothers, Jerry Miller and Jimmy Miller, both of Elk Ridge, Md., and Cliford Miller of Laurel, Md.; six sisters, Charlotte Treola of Beltsville, Md., Barbara Bevins of Bramwell, W.V., Kathy Quizenberry of West Virginia, Polly Klinger of Brighton, Colo., Gladys Kemp of Clouster, W.Va., and Shirley Donelson of Mount Lookout, W.Va.; and six grandchildren. Miss Larson was born in Guymon. She attended Edison School in Guymon, the J.D. McCarty School for Handicapped in Norman and West Side Junior High at Oklahoma City. She attended New Beginning Family Worship Center in Oklahoma City. Survivors include her mother, Jackie McAnarney and her husband, Chuck McAnarney of Goodwell; three sisters, Felisha, Tressa and Tarrah; three stepsisters, Kelley, Amanda and Tiffany; her grandmother, Kathy Warren of Texhoma; step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McAnarney of Guymon; and foster parents, Ed and Rita Lewis of Oklahoma City. Lori Treat Farmer GUYMON, Okla. - Lori Treat Farmer, 41, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Henson-Novak Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. Ronald Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Farmer was born in Stillwater where she graduated from high school. She was a homemaker. She married Tim Farmer in 1995 at Goodwell. Survivors include a son, Ethan C. Cloud of Tulsa; two stepchildren, Bridget Annette Farmer and Shane Farmer; her parents, Janet Treat and Earnest Treat, both of Stillwater; and three brothers, E. Elsewhere Norman Henry Harrison BUFFALO, Mo. - Norman Henry Harrison, 79, died Sunday, May 2, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Montgomery-Viets Chapel with the Rev. Roger Easter officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery by Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Military honors will be rendered by the Galmey Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9638. Mr. Harrison was born in Slaton, Texas. During World War II, he served in the Army in the Pacific Theater and was involved in several island landings. After the war, he worked for Rock Island Railroad, and after his retirement he farmed. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He married Dorothy Severt in 1943. Survivors include his wife; a son, Melvin Harrison of the home; a daughter, Norma McGregor of Buffalo; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The Rev. Norman Sirnic and Karen Sirnic WEIMAR - The Rev. Norman "Skip" and Karen Sirnic, both 47, formerly of Friona, died Sunday, May 2, 1999. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in United Church of Christ in Weimar. Memorial services are also planned in Lubbock. Services in Weimar are by Hubbard Funeral Home. The Rev. Sirnic had been the minister at Weimar United Church of Christ for the past 10 years. Mrs. Sirnic served as church secretary. From 1977 until 1983, he was pastor of Friona's Union Congregational Church. The Rev. Sirnic was a 1970 graduate of Friona High School, where he was class valedictorian and a state champion in UIL information speaking. Survivors include their son, Nathan, a student at Angelo State University; his parents, the Rev. Paul and Annabelle Mohr; and his brother, Mark Sirnic of Englewood, Colo. New Mexico Mildred E. Willis LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Mildred E. Willis, 86, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in University Good Samaritan Chapel with the Rev. Carrol Blevins officiating. Arrangements are by Getz Funeral Home of Las Cruces. Mrs. Willis was born in Buffalo Gap. She was a school teacher and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Willis. Survivors include a son, Jerry Willis of Hood River, Ore.; two daughters, Barbara Willis of Las Cruces and Mary Jane Henderson of Childress; two brothers, Kendrick Brookreson of Hoover, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren.
