Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lupe Rando, pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Martinez was born in Derby. He attended schools in Pearsall and moved to Floydada in 1952 from Pearsall. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Texas Highway Department in 1992 and was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista. He married Esperanza Barrera in 1957 at Floydada. She died in 1991. Survivors include a son, Alex Martinez of Floydada; a daughter, Connie Peralez of Plainview; four brothers, Mingo Martinez of Chattanooga, Okla., and Alfredo Martinez, Benito Martinez and Joe Martinez, all of Floydada; two sisters, Irma Garcia of Floydada and Manuel Mendoza of Metters, Ga.; and three grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing until noon Sunday at Primera Iglesia Baustita, 401 W. Kentucky, Floydada. Mrs. Hutchings was born in Yale, Okla., and moved to Pampa in 1984. She graduated in 1962 from Andrew's High School. She was a homemaker and a quilter. She married Troy Hutchings in 1977 at Fort Worth. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Ruby Butler of Ozona; and two sisters, Glenda Henderson of Ozona and Donna Kay Noblett of Fort Worth. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel in Pampa. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Whitney was born in Seminole County, Okla., and moved to Borger in 1939. She had lived in Dumas a short while. She was a licensed beautician and beautician instructor in Liberal, Kan.; Alva, Okla.; and Pampa. She became a licensed vocational nurse working in the Sulphur Springs, Pampa and Perryton areas. She was a member of the Hobart Baptist Church in Pampa, Order of Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge where she had served as a noble grand. She married Aderon Kirkham in 1935 at Seminole. He died in 1973. Survivors include three sons, Bill Kirkham of Pampa, Jim Kirkham of Fritch and Don Kirkham of Dumas; a brother, Edward Earnest of Carlsbad, N.M.; a sister, Lena Ekenberg of West Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and member of Seventh Day Adventist. She was employed by First Baptist Church as a nursery worker. She married Raymond Anderson in 1948 at Columbus, Ga. He died in 1995. Trice. Miss Kelley was born in Amarillo and had lived in Claude since 1954. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Wanda Davis of Amarillo, Delva Corbitt of Elk City, Okla., and Mertes Goodin of Claude; two brothers, Duane Kelley of Fountain, Colo., and Lindon Kelley of Claude. She had previously lived in Keokuk, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church, the 55 Plus Club and Texas Extension Homemakers. She married Milo Steffen in 1942 at Sikeston, Mo. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gary E. Steffen of Euless and Milo Steffen II of Cushing, Okla.; a daughter, Mary F. Ponder of Panhandle; and eight grandchildren. The family will be staying at 712 Charles in Panhandle. He attended Texas Tech University and worked for Texas Farm Machinery. In 1996, he was employed by the Wheeler Formby Unit. He married Debra Burton in 1971 at Kress. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Amber Pierce and Lori Mickey, both of Plainview; his mother, Maylene of Plainview; a brother, Jerry Mickey of Rockport; and a sister, Kim Hall of Wichita, Kan. Mrs. Green was born in Breckenridge and had lived in Vega since 1947. She graduated from John Tarleton College and did office work for a chemical company. She was a student of eschatology and Christian Science. She married Tom Green in 1946 at Breckenridge. Survivors include her husband; a son, Tom Henry Green of Vega; a daughter, Lucy Hardin McGowan of Hereford; and four grandchildren. The family will be at Tom Henry Green's home. He was employed for three years with Plains Transportation. He was a Baptist. He married Sharron Rupp in 1964 at Raton, N.M. Georgia St. Mr. Baker was born in Washburn and was a veteran of the Navy. For 35 years, he was employed by Pantex where he started in the water department then was transferred to the fire department until 1972. He was then in design engineering as new construction engineer's assistant until 1987. Mr. Baker was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and the Homebuilder's Sunday School Class. He also was a member of the Palo Duro Masonic Lodge No. 1239 and the American Legion. He married Jean Heath in 1948 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Renae Bohensky, in 1998. Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Baker of Manassas, Va.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave., with Chris Cutin, chaplain at Veterans Administration Medical Center, officiating. Graveside services will be at 10:45 a.m. in Groom City Cemetery in Groom. Mr. Winegeart was born in Springfield, Colo., and moved to Amarillo 30 years ago. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was a farmer who retired after 26 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, in 1990 and by a daughter, Darrella Edwards, in 1991. Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Holland of Fort Sumner, N.M., and Ina Roberts of Fort Collins, Colo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3608 Cline Rd. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 6, 1999 New Mexico Gail Elizabeth Snow CLOVIS, N.M. - Gail Elizabeth Snow, 96, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Mission Garden of Memories with the Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Snow was born in Dutch Mill, Ark., and moved to Clovis in 1920 from Lincoln, Ark. She had been a sales clerk and was a charter member of Central Baptist Church. She married J.C. Snow in 1939 at Clovis. He died in 1984. There are no known survivors. Mr. Johnston was born in Amarillo. He served six years in the Navy. He worked as a professional carpenter in the Amarillo and Austin areas. Survivors include two daughters, Lexie Johnston and Alyssa Johnston, both of Amarillo; his mother and stepfather, Mary Ann and George Knause of Wichita Falls; his father, Harold Dean Johnston of Quanah; a sister, Cindy Hill of Shreveport, La.; and two brothers, Darayle Knause and Stacy Knause of Austin. Services will be at 5 p.m. Monday in Mountain View Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Nowlin of Crestview Baptist Church in Farmington, N.M., the Rev. Bill Irwin, pastor and director of missions for the Royal Gorge area, and the Rev. Matthew Boardwell of the Mountain View Southern Baptist Church of Lafayette officiating. Private family graveside services will be Tuesday in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Arrangements are by M.P. Murphy & Associates Funeral Directors of Lafayette. The Rev. Archer was born in Memphis, Texas, where he graduated from high school in 1947. He served in the Korean conflict with the Air Force. In 1967, he received his bachelor's degree from Texas Wesleyan then attended Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth from 1968 until 1971. The Rev. Archer was a pastor for the past 38 years including pastor emeritus of Mountain View Baptist Church. He formerly was with the First Southern Baptist Church of Canon City, the New Life Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio, the Southside Baptist Church of Granbury, Texas and the First Baptist Church of LaLuz, N.M. He was a member of Mountain View Southern Baptist Church and the Boulder Ministerial Association. He married Jenene Miller in 1954 at Memphis. Survivors include his wife; a son, David Archer of Henderson, Nev.; four daughters, Billenda Osborn of Santa Barbara, Calif., Sharon Logan of Columbus, Ohio, Cynthia Story of Pueblo West and Connie Trujillo of Craig; two brothers, George Archer of Houston and Dempy Archer of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; a sister, Laverne Joiner of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.
