Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Mr. Gray was born in Beaver County, Okla., and was a longtime resident of the Perryton area. He graduated from Perryton High School and attended college at Goodwell, Okla. He served on the Perryton Equity CoOp for 21 years, retiring as president in 1981. He was a farmer and lived winters in Arizona and summers in Texas. He was a five-time golf champion at Perryton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Mae, in 1986 and by a daughter, Brenda, in 1964. He married Dorothy Balzer in 1989. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Billiemae Rash of Maryland; two sisters, Audean Simpson of Amarillo and Erva Rogers of Los Gatos, Calif.; two grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Perryton Senior Citizens Center. Pearl Ann Langley PAMPA - Pearl Ann Langley, 62, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jacob Clemmens, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Langley was born in Marble City, Okla., and had lived in Pampa since 1950. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church. She married Richard C. Langley in 1959. He died in 1989. Survivors include a brother, Charles Land of Amarillo, and a sister, Alien Yazel of Centerton, Ark. Erma Lee Campbell PADUCAH - Erma Lee Campbell died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Paducah Garden of Memories with the Rev. Roy C. Keith, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements were by Seigler Funeral Home of Paducah. Mrs. Campbell was born in Fannin County and graduated from Paducah High School. For many years, she was bookkeeper / cashier at Hall-Scruggs. She lived in Ephrata, Wash., and returned to Paducah in 1978. She married Troy L. Campbell in 1932 at Paducah. He died in 1954. She is survived by two sisters, Mavis Anderson and Rogene Paschall, both of Paducah, and several nieces and nephews. Amanda Sorrels Allen PLAINVIEW - Amanda Sorrels Allen, 93, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church of Bogata with David Griffin of Kerrville and Kenny Dickson of the church officiating. Burial will be in Bogata Cemetery in Bogata. Services are by Wood Funeral Home of Bogata with local arrangements by WoodDunning Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Allen was born in Bogata and moved to Plainview in 1984. She was a longtime church musician and a piano teacher for more than 40 years. She was a member of Bogata United Methodist Church. She married Gordon Allen in 1933 at Bogata. He died in 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Hurt of Plainview and three grandchildren. Viewing will be after 6 p.m. today until service time Monday at Wood Funeral Home. Ila Haydon DIMMITT - Ila Haydon, 86, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Weatherford. Arrangements are by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Mrs. Haydon was born in Vera and lived in Castro County for 53 years. She was a resident of Canterbury Villa for the past three years. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Haydon, in 1968. Survivors include three nieces, Myrna Luna and Cathy Pearson, both of Belen, N.M., and Patsy Ottmers of Dallas; and three nephews, Eddie Hayden of Sunnyside, Milburn Hayden of Farwell and Randy Hayden of Weatherford. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Marcelene Nachlinger PAMPA - Marcelene Nachlinger, 77, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999. Services were at 4 p.m. Saturday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors, Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Moore, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Groom, officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Nachlinger was born in Wellington, moved to Lefors in 1945 and then moved to Pampa in 1952. For 37 years, she was an engineering assistant for Cabot Corp. She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church. She married Leon K. Nachlinger in 1945 at Sioux Falls, S.D. He died in 1990. Survivors include two daughters, Pat Rogers of Canadian and Carol Kiker of Allison; a son, Kenny Nachlinger of Katy; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice in Canadian. Gladys L. Bohannon CHILDRESS - Gladys L. Bohannon, 92, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999. Graveside services were at 5 p.m. Saturday in Childress Cemetery. Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Bohannon moved to Childress in 1928 and was a longtime resident. She was a homemaker. She married M.T. Bohannon in 1928 at Anna. He died in 1975. Survivors include a sister, Gracie Hackoy of Childress, and four nieces of Childress. Beatrice Smith CLAUDE - Beatrice "Bea" Smith, 82, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Church of Christ with Kent Watson, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home-Armstrong Chapel of Claude. Mrs. Smith was born in Sentinal, Okla. and had lived in Claude since 1956. She was a rancher and a farmer, a homemaker, and a member of the Llano Community Club, and of Church of Christ of Claude. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnard Smith, in 1983 and by her daughter, Shirley Johnson, in 1956. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Thomas of Amarillo; a son, J.B. Smith of Claude; two sisters, Rea Shirley of Alexandria, La. and Ruth Terry of Hobart, Okla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Young was born in Hereford, lived in Los Angeles from 1937 until 1991, and moved to Marysvale, Utah. He worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and was a professional rodeo cowboy, having been named "All Around Cowboy" several times in his career. He was a lifetime member of the PRCA. He married Alice Jean Malone in 1954. She died in 1991. Survivors include four cousins, Neal Young and Nolan Grady, both of Hereford, Frances Euler of Friona and Nadine Thatcher of Scottsdale, Ariz. He was a retired pipeline worker and a member of Church of Christ. He married Nora Sandoval in 1956. Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Molly Rivas of Littlefield, Vera Dominguez of Amarillo, Florinda Anchondo of Pecos and Joann Baca, Eva Espinosa and Julie Painter, all of Spearman; two brothers, Modesto Baca and Benito Baca, both of Clovis; a sister, Rita Pacheco of Vaughn, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fuller was born in South Portsmouth, Ky., and had lived in Pampa from 1929 until 1989. She moved to Amarillo 10 years ago. She was a gardener who won awards with her irises. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Pampa. She married Charles Edgar Fuller in 1924 at Pawhuska, Okla. He died in 1983. Survivors include a son, Larry K. She was a homemaker and a charter member of North Amarillo Christian Church. She married Arthur Duncan in 1922. He died in 1964. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margie Dunn in 1990 and by a son, Kenneth Duncan, in 1998. Burial will be by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Matney was born in Hansford County and moved to Amarillo in 1940 from Plemons. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1931, worked for S.H. Kress and Company, sold cars in California, worked for J.A. Whittenburg Estate in Borger and in 1942, for J.A. Hedgecoke Properties, where he retired as manager and CEO in 1972. In 1993, he established the Roy M. Matney Endowed Presidential Scholarship at the University of Texas at Austin for business graduates. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. He married Irma T. Talia Ferro in 1935. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Roy M. Matney III, in 1992. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy M. Matney II of Houston; a daughter, Marilyn Seven of New York City; two sisters, Ruth Stotts of Arizona and Eulabie Greever of Spearman. Canyon John Lloyd Ashley Sr. CANYON - John Lloyd Ashley Sr., died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Gayle Bowen, associate minister of First Baptist Church, Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Holley Funeral Home. Mr. Ashley was born in Newport, Okla. and worked as a rancher and as a truck driver. He was employed by the city of Canyon at the time of his retirement. He married Beatrice Smith in 1940. She died in 1996. Survivors include four sons, Willie Ashley and Darrell Kirk Ashley, both of Amarillo, John Lloyd Ashley Jr. of Morris, Okla. and Carrol Ashley of Canyon; two daughters, Connie McSwain of Chiefland, Fla. and Quilla Dianne Vickers of Oklahoma City; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. In 1984, Mr. Watson retired after 36 years with Shell Oil Co. He was with Shell in Midland for 23 years before being transferred as office supervisor of the Shell Tippett plant in McCamey. He married Elizabeth Ensey in 1941 at Ardmore, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ken Watson and Keith Watson, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Debra Trexler of Midland; four grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. Antonia Alcazar Garcia RIO GRANDE CITY - Antonia Alcazar Garcia, 90, a former Amarillo resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999. Funeral mass was Saturday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Rio Grande City. Burial was in Rio Grande City Cemetery by Sanchez Funeral Home. An Amarillo resident for most of her life, Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by three sons, Rogelio Garcia in 1966, and Bruno Garcia Sr., and Audolio Garcia Sr., both in 1997. Survivors include three sons, Simon Garcia Sr. of Mission, Edelmaro Garcia of Amarillo and Isabel "Junior" Garcia of Boyd; four daughters, Maria Del Carmen Baca, Maria Hilda Garcia and Maria Aricelda Nolan, all of Amarillo, and Maria Juana Aguilar of Saginaw; a brother, Ernesto Alcazar of McAllen; two sisters, Romana Alcazar and Guadalupe Alcazar of Pharr; 34 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren. New Mexico Dora Morgan TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Dora Morgan, 100, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Dunn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Witcher, minister of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Morgan was born on the Cheyenne-Arapahoe Indian Reservation in Oklahoma Territory and had been a resident of Tucumcari since 1905, where she attended school, graduating from Tucumcari High School in 1917. She was a secretary, and served on the Tucumcari Library Board for 25 years, many of which were as chair person. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Morgan, in 1974. Survivors include a sister, Georgia McCarty of Santa Fe, N.M.; three nephews; and a niece. The body will be at the funeral home from this morning until time for the services on Monday but will not be available for viewing. Rosa Welch Williamson TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Rosa Welch Williamson, 86, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999. Vigil services will be at 6 p.m. todayin Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Anne's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the family plot at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by the funeral home. Mrs. Williamson was born in Tucumcari, was a homemaker and a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Michael Williamson and Bobby Welch, both of Tucumcari; a daughter, Jeanette Brandt of Tucumcari; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
