Walton Blanche E. Walton, 96, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Royce Womack officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Walton was born in Cleburne and moved to Amarillo in 1970 from Chloride, N.M. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She married Tom F. Walton in 1945. He died in 1986. Survivors include a brother, Clarence Dyer of Cleburne; and a sister, Connie Matthews of Fort Worth. The family suggests memorials be to the Children's Home or San Jacinto United Methodist Church. Harold P. Brown Harold P. Brown, 79, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Childress Cemetery in Childress with the Rev. Winston Curtis, of Highland Park Baptist Church of Duncan, Okla., officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St., of Amarillo. Mr. Brown was born in Quanah and moved to Amarillo in 1946 from Washington. He served in the Army with the artillery. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Carpenters Local Union No. 665 of Amarillo. In 1983, Mr. Brown retired after more than 40 years as construction supervisor for Panhandle Engineers and Contractors. He was involved in building the Amarillo Airport, Amarillo College, Wellington Square, the National Guard Armory and Lakeside Office Complex. He married Della "Cordell" Brown in 1942 at Childress. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Chuck Brown of Boulder, Colo., Larry Brown of Panhandle and Roger Brown of Amarillo; a daughter, Debbie Burgess of Boulder; two brothers, Wayne G. Brown of Amarillo and Bobby R. Brown of Tulia; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Norma Elaine Moss Norma Elaine Moss, 81, of Amarillo, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Southwest Church of Christ, 4515 Cornell, with Brent Adams of the church officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Olton Cemetery, Olton, by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Moss was born in Wellington and moved to Amarillo nine years ago from Vernon. She previously had lived in Mangum, Okla., for 12 years. Mrs. Moss was a member of Southwest Church of Christ. She was a former member of Mangum Church of Christ and the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ in Vernon. She married Kenneth Lee Moss in 1934 at Vincent, Okla. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1992 and a son, Jimmy Max Moss, in 1968. Survivors include a son, Kenneth E. Moss of Amarillo; a daughter, Jonelta Welch of Arlington; a sister, Mildred Waller of Sundown; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, P.O. Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114. Arnold McGilbray Arnold McGilbray, 83, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Zion Baptist Church with James Collins, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in East Mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary Inc., 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. McGilbray was born in Boynton, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 63 years. In 1982, he retired from Pantex. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where he served as chairman of deacons and superintendent of the Sunday School. Throughout the years, he contributed to the church by maintaining much of the church property. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye McGilbray, in 1990. Survivors include a son, Arnold McGilbray Jr. of San Francisco; a stepson, Charles Kemp of Amarillo; three brothers, Leon McGilbra of Kansas City, Mo., Clarence McGilbra of Las Vegas and Travis McGilbra of Tulsa; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1709 N. Jefferson St. Dorothy M. Thomas Dorothy M. Thomas, 78, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Dick Marcear of Central Church of Christ and Jim Bob Humphrey, son-in-law, officiating. Burial will be private. Mrs. Thomas was born in Dover, Tenn., and graduated from beauty school in Detroit. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for more than 30 years. She married John Thomas in 1942 at Big Rock, Tenn. He died in 1975. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Wilder of Amarillo and Betty Humphrey of Russellville, Ark.; a sister, Mary Brizendine of Guthrie, Ky.; a brother, Elmer Morgan of Dallas; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, P.O. Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114. Earnest Cravens Earnest Cravens, 83, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Amarillo with the Rev. V.P. Perry officiating. Burial will be in Littlefield Cemetery in Littlefield by McCarty Funeral Home of Littlefield. Mr. Cravens was born in Trinidad, Texas. He lived in Littlefield for a number of years before moving to Amarillo. He attended Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and worked on a farm. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Cravens, on January 15. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Cravens McCellan of Amarillo; and a brother, John Cravens of Odessa. New Mexico Junior Foreman TEXICO, N.M. - Junior Foreman, 69, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at Albuquerque. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel at Clovis with the Rev. Tim Askew officiating. Burial will be in Texico Cemetery. Mr. Foreman was born in Clovis, where he was a lifelong resident. He worked as a scale operator and he and his wife were camp hosts for New Mexico State Parks at Ute Park for five years. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years and a member of Texico First Baptist Church. He married Juanita Fern Winegeart in 1950 at Clovis. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1996, and by an infant son, Ron Kent in 1969. Survivors include two sons, Duane Foreman of Texico, and Rick Foreman of Bosque; a daughter, Linda Buchan of Portales; a sister, Vera Gossett of Temple, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Parkinson's Foundation. Pablo Antonio Trujillo CLAYTON, N.M. - Pablo Antonio Trujillo, 94, of Espanola, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton with the Rev. George Silva, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mr. Trujillo was born in Dehaven, Harding County. He lived in Moses and Wheeless, Okla., until moving to Clayton in 1935. He was self-employed in trucking and construction, including working with the WPA on construction of the Clayton High School. In 1947, he moved to Texhoma, Okla., where he was ranch foreman for the Freeman Anchor D Ranch for 35 years until his retirement. He then moved to Espanola in 1982. He married Josephine Martinez in 1923 at Moses. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1986, by two daughters, Christine Giron and Josephine Teresine Trujillo, and by two sons, J.B. Trujillo and Tommy Ray Trujillo. Survivors include five daughters, Nickie Blake of Aztec, Caroline Bullard of Clayton, Pauline Hass of Espanola, Anna Marie Rhoads of Guymon, Okla., and Sally Dwyer of Auburn, Calif.; four sons, Gene A. Trujillo of Woodbridge, Va., Pablo A. "Buddy" Trujillo Jr. of Texhoma, Ted Trujillo of Santa Fe and John Trujillo of Angel Fire; a sister, Tomasita Trujillo of Pueblo, Colo.; two brothers, Juan Trujillo of Amarillo and Catarino Trujillo of Clayton; 31 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Doyle B. Cast TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Doyle B. Cast, 79, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Witcher, minister of First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Cast was born in Quay County and had been a resident of Los Lunas community for 26 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired as a rancher. He was preceded in death by a son, Dexter Allen Cast. Survivors include his wife, Frieda Cast; a son, Jerry Cast of Albuquerque; a daughter, Rita Keller of Albuquerque; two sisters, Merlene Keller of Truth or Consequences and Lori Kiker of Tucumcari; a brother, Sonny Cast of Tucumcari; and 10 grandchildren. Viewing will be from this afternoon until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Oklahoma Mary Langston GUYMON, Okla. - Mary Langston, 89, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon. Area Louise Kendrick BORGER - Louise Kendrick, 85, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church in Amarillo with Dr. Howard K. Batson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo. Mrs. Kendrick was born in Texarkana. She married Herman A. "Mickey" Kendrick in 1943 at Wellington. They lived in Wellington for many years before his death in 1982. She moved to Borger after the death of her husband. She worked as a receptionist for five years at the Hutchinson County Museum, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Borger, the Ruth Sunday School Class and the Glory Gang Choir. She also was active in the Paragon Study Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mickye Campbell of Amarillo; and two grandsons. The family will be at 3325 Otsego in Amarillo. Willie Otto Stahl Sr. CHILDRESS - Willie Otto "Bill" Stahl Sr., 88, died Tuesday, July 6, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Childress Cemetery with the Rev. Kerry Wood, music minister of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home of Childress. Mr. Stahl was born in McKinney. He was in charge of the sheet-metal shop at the Childress Army Air Field and previously owned Stahl Sheet Metal and Roofing Co. Mr. Stahl was a member of the Childress Voluntary Fire Department for six years and was employed by the Childress Police Department for four years. He was a Baptist. He married Lillian Pearl Helms in 1930 at Hollis, Okla. She died June 30. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Chambless of Childress and Marguerite McIntosh of Richardson; a son, Willie Otto Stahl Jr. of Fayetteville, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Moore of Tustin, Calif.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Robert L. Moss MEMPHIS - Robert L. Moss, 79, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. O.K. Bowen and the Rev. Jerry Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mr. Moss was born in Eli community of Hall County and was a lifelong resident. He was an Air Force veteran and served in the Pacific. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Hall/Donley County Farm Bureau, serving as president of the local organization. Mr. Moss served on the Texas Farm Bureau board and was past member of the Memphis Independent School board of trustees. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and past Sunday School teacher. He married Martha Lou McClure in 1942 at Chandler, Ariz. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Moss of Palouse, Wash.; a sister, Rebecca Clark of Memphis; a brother, James Moss of Memphis; and eight grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hall County Hospital. Wendell Harrison MEMPHIS - Wendell Harrison, 87, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Memphis with the Rev. O.K. Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mr. Harrison graduated from Memphis High School in 1929 then attended Georgia Tech, where he played football and boxed. Later, he was a football coach for Hardin-Simmons University. During World War II, he served in the Navy in the South Pacific. Mr. Harrison was a member of First Baptist Church, where he had been a deacon for 55 years and an usher. He owned and operated Harrison Hardware and Memphis Feed and Seed. He married Frances Eddie Beck in 1940 at Abilene. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rosemary Baxter of Shamrock; a sister, Ruth Harrison Hawkins of Houston; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Memphis or a favorite charity.
