Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elim Worship Center with the Rev. Guadalupe Munoz, pastor of Elim Worship Center, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Nava was born in Austin and moved to Plainview 30 years ago from Sinton. She was a member of Elim Worship Center and was president of the Women's Fellowship of Elim Worship Center. She married Joaquin Nava Sr. in 1948 at Sinton. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Rosie Munoz and Conuselo Gonzales, both of Plainview; a son, Joaquin Nava Jr. of Plainview; a brother, Luis Mendez of San Antonio; a sister, Clemencia Hinijosa of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at Wood-Dunning Funeral Home until 10 a.m. today and then at Elim Worship Center until service time. Mildred Bentley WHITE DEER - Mildred Bentley, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Panhandle. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel at Pampa with the Rev. Calvin Beach, a Baptist minister, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Shamrock Cemetery at Shamrock. Mrs. Bentley was born in Hardeman County near Quanah and was raised on a farm two miles west of Wellington. She also lived in Riley near Mason. She attended West Texas State Teachers College at Canyon and was a school teacher for the Enterprise School District. She first taught seventh grade with only nine students, later teaching first and second grades at Magic City. She married Paul Bentley in 1932. They lived in Magic City until moving to White Deer in 1975. He died in 1985. She spent the last three years of her life in nursing facilities in Pampa and Panhandle. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Ray Bentley of Alamogordo, N.M., and Mack Bentley of Wheeler; three daughters, Pauline Sutterfield of Amarillo, Jeri Blodgett of White Deer, and Gayle McKay of Apple Valley, Minn.; a brother, Calvin Beach of Royse City; two sisters, Lora Warren of Westminster, Colo., and Lucia Lummus of Denison; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. The family requests memorials be to the White Deer Senior Citizens Center or White Deer EMS. Isabelle Heiman Schulte NAZARETH - Isabelle Heiman Schulte, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999. Vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. today at CCD Building in Nazareth. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerry Stein and the Rev. John Hickey officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Homes of Dimmitt. Mrs. Schulte was born in St. Bernard, Neb., and moved to Nazareth in 1930. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. Her first marriage was to Alphonse Heiman in 1930. He died in 1947. Her second marriage was to Walter Schulte in 1952 at Corpus Christi. He died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Dennis Heiman of Nazareth; four daughters, Etta Mae Sellers of Tahlequah, Okla., Joanne Bowen of Plainview, Julene Gerber of Nazareth and Iona Taylor of Lubbock; 23 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Marie A. McKeever PAMPA - Marie A. McKeever, 74, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Lonny Robbins, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches. Mrs. McKeever was born in Buckholts. She was 30-year resident of Port Arthur where she was a member of Proctor Street Baptist Church. She moved to Pampa six years ago. She married Charles McKeever in 1965 at Sealy. He died in 1989. Survivors include a daughters, Wanda Hall of Pampa; four sons, Roy Dixon of Port Arthur, Wayne Dixon of Las Vegas, James Dixon of Houston and Clarence Dixon of Piedmont, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice of Amarillo. Calixtra G. Sanchez PLAINVIEW - Calixtra G. Sanchez, 94, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Elbert A. Fadalian officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Mrs. Sanchez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and moved to Plainview in 1958. She was a RSVP volunteer, a Guadalupana and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married Roque C. Sanchez in 1938 at Beeville. He died in 1986. Survivors include two sons, Jesus G. Huerta of Plainview and Roque Sanchez Jr. of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter, Connie Bocanegra of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Johnnie Woodrow Wright FRIONA - Johnnie Woodrow Wright, 80, of Bovina, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bovina First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Morgan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mr. Wright was born in Kingsville and was a 1937 graduated of Byers High School in Byers. In 1952, he moved to Bovina from Burkburnett. He was a farmer and member of First Baptist Church and the Bovina Lions Club. He married Gladys Varner in 1940 at Charley. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Ray Wright, in 1967. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerald Wayne Wright of Albuquerque, N.M., and Joe Pat Wright of Muleshoe; a brother, Weldon Wright of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Mildred Howard of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Dean was born in Boulder, Colo., and moved to Amarillo in 1945 from Pampa. A homemaker, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Daughters of the Nile. She married Darrel D. Dean in 1945 at Amarillo. He died in 1984. Survivors include a son, David Dean of Edgewood, N.M.; and a grandson. Kenneth Robert Lancaster Kenneth Robert Lancaster, 52, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Coulter Road Baptist Church with Mark Ensign, Messianic Rabbi, and Ken Haney, missionary, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Lancaster was born in Waco and graduated from Denton High School in Denton. He moved to Amarillo in 1990 where he was a radio announcer. He was a member of ADOT ADOANI MESSIANIC congregation. He married Suzanne Rogers in 1980 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tim Lancaster of Llano and John Lancaster of Fort Worth; his mother, Dolores Lancaster of Amarillo; a sister, JoAnna Hurst of Denton; and four granddaughters. The family will be at 7716 Canode. They suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. The body will not be available for viewing. Pierre-Alain Gasser Pierre-Alain Gasser, 29, of Amarillo, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Monsignor Joseph Tash of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Gasser was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and moved to the United States five-and-a-half years ago. He studied to become a pilot at Tyler Aviation School in Tyler. Four-and-a-half years ago, he moved to Amarillo and was a pilot for New Mexico Flight Service. He married Deanna Hook in 1997 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Deborah Morrow of Amarillo; a stepson, Jason Morrow of Amarillo; his parents, Rodolphe and Roseline Gasser of Geneva; and a sister, Laurence Gasser of Geneva. Oklahoma Ella Mae Starks BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Ella Mae Lofton Starks, 77, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Tulsa. Services were at 2:30 p.m. Monday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Michael Goldsmith and the Rev. Devin Rohr officiating. Burial was in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens by Leonard & Marker Funeral Home. Mrs. Starks was born and raised in Broken Arrow. She graduated from Union High School. She married Floyd Starks in 1946 at Ontario, Calif. They had lived in Lubbock and Amarillo, Texas, before moving back to Broken Arrow about six years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Broken Arrow Assembly of God Church. She was a singer, who was involved in missions support, especially dealing with American Indians. She had been a Sunday School teacher and led a weekly prayer group in her home. She served as an executive elder of the Morris Cerullo World Evangelism Ministry. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teri Kay Starks. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Joy Greig of Austin, and Milene Cooper of Pryor; a son, Donald Wayne Starks of Michigan; two brothers, Roy Lofton of Tulsa and Ray Lofton of Leonard; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. New Mexico Flora Bell Sneed CLOVIS, N.M. - Flora Bell Sneed, 68, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. R.L. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mrs. Sneed was born in Grace, Miss. She moved to Clovis in 1959 where she was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and employed as a custodian. She married James Sneed in 1959 at Clovis. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, James Sneed Jr. of Clovis; two daughters, Mary Ann Sample and Lizzie Beckham, both of Clovis; a brother, Isaac Ford of Grace; two sisters, Bertha Franklin and Annie Bell Alexander, both of Greenville, Miss.; Akileh Lonnie "Peach" Wesson of Tulsa and Joshua Ford of Clovis; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Elsewhere Harold Francis Starnes KILLEEN - Harold Francis Starnes, 83, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Killeen Memorial Park by Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. Mr. Starnes was born in Van Alstyne and was raised and educated in Texas. He served with the Army during both World War II and the Korean War, retiring in 1961. He was in the Civil Service at Fort Hood from 1962 until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 9112 and Retired Officers Association. He married Lucy Dumond in 1943 at Little Rock, Ark. Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold F. Starnes Jr. of San Angelo; two daughters, Connie Ralston-Starnes of Amarillo and Jeanne Cook of Killeen; two brothers, Bill Starnes of Athens and Alton Starnes of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society; or the Alzheimer's Association.
