Survivors include her parents; a brother, Jesus Carrasco Jr. of Dallas; three sisters, Christina Rocha, Elizabeth Fernandez and Victoria Carrasco, all of Amarillo; grandparents, John and Margaret Duke of Amarillo; and great-grandmothers, Evelyn Gann of Amarillo and Edna Burgess of Clarksville. Truman McKinney Cox Truman McKinney Cox, 53, of Amarillo, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth, with Haun Kite of North Amarillo Church of Christ officiating. Mr. Cox was born in Jayton and moved to Amarillo in 1966. He married Debra Cummins in 1992 at Las Vegas. He was a truck driver and was an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Thomas David Cox and William Michael Cox, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Amanda Cox and Celeste Kellison, both of Amarillo; two brothers, W.A. McKinney of Stamford and Ronnie Cox of Oshkosh, Neb.; three sisters, Sandra Helt of Wichita Falls, Becky Jordan of Blooming Grove and Maureen Isenhour of Dover, Del.; and seven grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Gladys I. Ludden Gladys I. Ludden, 95, formerly of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999. Vigil will be at 7 p.m. today in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Francis A. Smyer officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Ludden was born in May, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1943 from Mooreland, Okla. She was a cook for the Amarillo Independent School District. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Amarillo Senior Citizens. In 1983, she moved to Topeka, Kan. She married T.J. Ludden in 1950 at Canyon. She was preceded in death by her husband and by a son, F.A. "Tommy" Ludden. Survivors include two daughters, Dortha Graves of Houston and Norma Sechrist of Topeka; a brother, Ervin Van Fleet of Laverne, Okla.; two sisters, Edna Owens of Phoenix and Selma Neilsen of Laverne; eight grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Wertie B. Keesee Wertie B. Keesee, 88, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Keesee was born in Richlands, Va. She was employed as a machinist and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Fontana, Calif. She moved to Amarillo last year from Rialto, Calif. She married Carl Keesee in 1928 at Bristol, Tenn. He died in 1963. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Key of Amarillo; a brother, the Rev. Howard Clayman of Evansville, Ind.; two sisters, Opal Bray and Edith Dishner, both of Garden Grove, Calif.; and two grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Southwest Baptist Church or a favorite charity. Oklahoma Laura Smith Parshall BOISE CITY, Okla. - Laura Smith Parshall, 60, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cimarron Mortuary Chapel with Keith Peachy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery. Mrs. Parshall was born in Sandyview Community and raised in the Wheeless Community where she attended school. She attended Boise City High School. She was a past member of the Baptist church and worked in various clerical positions. She was married to Lewis Huston until the 1960s. She later married Lloyd Parshall. Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Piggott of Boise City, Joann Sell and Lori Duke, both of Amarillo; her mother, Mary Smith of La Junta, Colo.; two brothers, Roy Victour of Amarillo and Fred Smith of Stratford; two sisters, Frances Sechrist of Amarillo and Norma Davis of La Junta; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity and may be left in care of the funeral home. New Mexico Chester Lee Anthony CLOVIS, N.M. - Chester Lee Anthony, 50, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Patterson Chapel CME Church with the Rev. Rudolph Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Anthony was born in Amherst, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Clovis. For the past 23 years, he was a sanitation truck driver for the city of Clovis. He was a member of Patterson Chapel CME Church. Mr. Anthony was a former coach for Play, Inc., an umpire for Western Little League, volunteer for Beautiful Clovis Program, and assisted with the Home and Garden Show. He married Lola Byrd in 1970 at Clovis. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Byrd of Big Spring, Texas, and Randy Byrd of Clovis; two brothers, Grady Anthony of Clovis and Willie Charles Anthony of Hobbs; two sisters, Carolyn McClendon of Lubbock, Texas, and Clara Mae Cheatham of Santa Maria, Calif.; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Jimmie Dean Smith TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Jimmie Dean Smith, 65, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. The family plans private services. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born and raised in Tucumcari where he was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the Korean War and assistant manager of the Tucumcari Truck Terminal. Survivors include his wife, Vertie; a daughter, Ginger Knollenberg of Tucumcari; two sons, William Smith and David Smith, both of Tucumcari; his stepmother, Vallrie Smith of Tucumcari; two sisters, Debbie Patton of Tucumcari and Terry Womble of Carlsbad; and four grandchildren. Viewing will start this morning at the funeral Home. Elsewhere Sandra Perry EARLY - Sandra Perry, 60, of Hobbs, N.M., died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999. Miss Perry was born in Ballinger and lived in Hobbs. She was a teacher at Heizer Junior High for many years. Survivors include two sisters, Jane Burks of Lake Brownwood and Karen Stepan of The Colony; and four brothers, Bobby Perry of Lake Brownwood, Elvis Perry of Oklahoma, Tommy Perry of Arlington and Paul Perry of Amarillo. Harold Ebb Williams MIDLAND - Harold Ebb "Jack" Williams, 92, formerly of Slaton, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Mr. Williams was born in Heck Switch, Okla., where he graduated from high school in 1924. He farmed there until 1939 when he moved to White Deer. He went to work with pipe lines. In 1971, Mr. Williams retired and moved to Amarillo in 1972 from Dumas. From 1977 until 1994, he lived in Slaton and then moved to Midland. He was a 54year member of Scottish Rite Free Masonry, SJUSA and a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Caddie Towry in 1927. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean McLaughlin, in 1993. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Frankie M. Simmons of Midland; a son, Harold Dean Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Thelma Joplin of Clovis, N.M., and Mildred Roles of Georgetown; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. They suggest, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Cerebral Palsy Center, 802 Ventura, Midland, TX 79705; or a favorite charity. A.B. Crump VANCOUVER, Wash. - A.B. "Jim" Crump, 80, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. today in Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Warren, Ore. Mr. Crump was born in Mobeetie, Texas. After his graduation, he enlisted in the Army. After his discharge, he moved to Washington and lived in Scappoose for a number of years. He moved to Vancouver in 1970. He married Berniece Crump 52 years ago. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rick Crump of LaCenter, Kenny Crump of Vancouver and Terry Crump of Las Vegas; a sister, Ruth Keith of Amarillo; and a grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Area Tom E. Woods QUANAH - Tom E. Woods, 82, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Roy Canada, interim pastor of First Baptist Church of Paducah, officiating. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Woods was born in Gurdon, Ark., and moved to Quanah in 1956. He was an Army veteran of World War II where he was a clerk. He retired from the lumber business after 50 years. He had worked for Quanah Farmer's Co-op, serving as manager, and retired from the lab department with ADM Southern Cotton Oil Mill. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Quanah Rotary, chamber of commerce and had been a Boy Scout leader for 20 years. He married Marquerite Virginia Petty in 1941 at Sinton. She died in 1981. Survivors include two sons, Tommy of Iowa Park and Mike of Quanah; a sister, Annabell Talley of San Antonio; a brother, J.V. Woods of San Angelo; special friend, Opal Phillips of Quanah; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Dorris E. Gregory BORGER - Dorris E. Gregory, 72, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Gregory was born in Fresno, Calif., and had been a Borger resident for 49 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star 811. She was a housewife. She married Chester Gregory in 1942 at Clarendon. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Vicki Sisneros of Borger and Vela Lea Gregory of Houston; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Betty Pendley Rodgers DUMAS - Betty Pendley Rodgers, 67, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bethel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Robbie Holcomb, pastor, and the Rev. Jerry Trammel officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Rodgers was born in Joplin, Mo., and lived in Moore County for the past 51 years. She was owner and operator of a restaurant. She married Richard Rodgers in 1994 at Dumas. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Isaac Pendley, in 1991. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Debbie Hatter of Dumas; three sons, the Rev. Charles Pendley of Watertown, S.D., and Mike Pendley and Jimmy Pendley, both of Dumas; two brothers; two sisters, eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1002 Miller. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Sacred Heart Cemetery in White Deer with Monsignor Kevin Hand, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Gordzelik was born in Floydada and had been a White Deer resident since 1920. She was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton Gordzelik, and four sons, Justin, Eddie, Bill and Richard. She is survived by a son, Jerry Gordzelik of White Deer, and several grandchildren. Ileane G. Reagan CANADIAN - Ileane G. Reagan, 86, of Garland and formerly of Canadian, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church Chapel with Dan Urschel and Wayne Baker of Canadian officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian by StickleyHill Funeral Directors. Mrs. Reagan was born in Wheeler County. She joined the First Christian Church of Canadian in 1944. She worked at Johnson Grocery and the Rexall Drug. She moved to Garland in 1986. She married Charlie Dies "Mike" Reagan in 1936 at Canadian. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982 and by a son, William Earnest "Billie" Reagan, in 1939. Survivors include a daughter, Nedra Lee Tinney of Allen; a sister, Dorlous Price of Amarillo; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Harold William Vaughn HALE CENTER - Harold William Vaughn, 85, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Meacham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by FreemanAbell Funeral Home. Mr. Vaughn was born in Tyler and raised in Hale Center. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1939 and retired in 1949. For nine years, he worked for the Postal Service in Plainview then moved to Boulder, Colo., where he retired from the Postal Service. Mr. Vaughn lived in San Antonio before returning to Hale Center in 1995. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He married Cora Lee Churchwell Jacobs in 1995 at Hale Center. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Cooper Vaughn, and a daughter, Pamela Acker. Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold Dean Vaughn of Moral Bay, Calif.; a sister, Geniva Georgeson of Tyler; and three grandchildren.
