Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Hawkins was born in Kansas City, Kan. He graduated from Dalhart High School. He had worked for the Amarillo Livestock Auction for 35 years and was a Methodist. He had been a volunteer for the HOSTS program at Sunrise Elementary School since 1998. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; two sons, Lorian Hawkins of Borger and Jorge Trevino of Amarillo; five daughters, Beverly Brinker and Tracy White, both of Dalhart, Darlene Dickerson and Lori Cearley, both of Amarillo, and Gina Hawkins of Canyon; and 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Gibson was born in Amarillo and had lived here for the past 25 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. She married William Malcom Gibson in 1934 at Cross Plains. He died in 1988. Survivors include a son, Mark R. Gibson of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Carter. New Mexico Mary Maydelle Sutton CLOVIS, N.M. - Mary Maydelle Sutton, 76, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery at Portales. Mrs. Sutton was born in Pollock, Texas, and moved to Clovis in 1947 from Alameda. She worked for the Clovis School System for 18 years, retiring in 19986 as a cook at Cameo Elementary School. She married James Sutton in 1945 at Alameda, Calif. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Alice Money of Alamogordo, and Paula Tjardes of Clovis; two brothers, Tommy Lewis of Post, Texas, and Alvin Lewis of Stamford Lake, Texas; three sisters, Hester Clark of Lubbock, Texas, Lenora Stevenson of Lakewood, Calif., and Oleta McCubbin of Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Lawrence Patrick Davidson CLOVIS, N.M. - Lawrence Patrick Davidson, 52, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Christian Church, with Ron Eggleton officiating. Burial with Elk's rites will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Davidson was born in Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School in 1965. In 1963, he began his career in radio broadcasting with the radio name of "Dave Patrick." In 1998, he retired as sales manager for KCLV. Over the years, Mr. Davidson worked for KCLV, KICA, KWKA, KTQM, KBIM AM/FM and TV. He also served as assistant manger for the Clovis Chamber of Commerce for four years. From 1966 until 1998, he was involved in broadcasting sports where he was known as the voice of the Wildcats. Mr. Davidson was a member of the Clovis-Portales Elks Lodge and the Clovis Executive Association. Survivors include his wife, Gayla; two daughters, Brandy Howell of Granbury, Texas, and Danielle Hood of Fort Worth; a brother, Mike Davidson of Austin, Texas; and two grandchildren. He suggested memorials be to Christian Children's Home in Portales. Oklahoma Mary Eloise Langston GUYMON, Okla. - Mary Eloise Langston, 89, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Langston was born in Guymon. She attended school in Dalhart and Guymon, where she graduated from Guymon High School. She was a volunteer to many boards and church activities. As a member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church, she was in the choir, was a Sunday school teacher and served on different committees over the years. She was a past president of P.E.O. Chapter AM and served as president of the W.S.C.S. She married James B. Langston in 1929 at Coldwater Creek. He died in 1966. She also was preceded in death by a stepson, James B. Langston Jr.; a stepdaughter, Marjorie Langston; and a grandson, Garrett Draper. Survivors include a daughter, Carrie Lou Draper of Guymon; a sister, Jennie Lou Ankers of Encino, Calif.; a brother, Russell Childers of Dalhart; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Lloyd Robert Kirchner AMES, Okla. - Lloyd Robert Kirchner, 54, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at Enid. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Henninger-Allen Chapel with the Rev. Monte Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Cemetery. Mr. Kirchner was born in Watonga, Okla. He attended Ames schools, graduating in 1962. He also attended Okmulgee College. He worked at Vance Air Force as a fireman until 1965. He married Wendella Larr in 1964 in Ames. He was a member of the Ames Christian Church and the American Quarter Horse Association. He was a cowboy. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Shannon Lackey of Canyon, Texas; a son, Robert Kirchner of Carrier, Okla.; his mother, Katie Harris of Ames; a brother, Les Kirchner of Canyon; and three grandchildren. Claude Harrell SHATTUCK, Okla. - Claude "Grit" Harrell, 85, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Good Samaritan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Elmer Fields officiating. Burial will be in Gage Memorial Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post No. 223 of Gage. Mr. Harrell was born in Shattuck and attended school in Follett. After serving with the Army during World War II, he returned to farm in Follett, and later moved to Gage. He was a member of the Methodist Church and, in 1992, moved to Shattuck Nursing Center. Survivors include three brothers, Ola Ray Harrell and Max Harrell, both of Miller, S.D., and Norval Harrell of Amarillo; two sisters, Audrey Reger of Follett and Erma Hunter of Oklahoma City; and special friend, Bob Brown of Shattuck. Area Angela Robyn Rish Pennington CARSON COUNTY - Angela Robyn Rish Pennington, 34, died Tuesday, July 6, 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panhandle and was a substitute teacher in Borger. Mr. Robinson was born in McAlester, Okla., and had lived in Pampa since 1954. He worked for Cabot Corp. as a security officer until his retirement. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Bible Baptist Church. He married his wife, Elizabeth, in 1945 at McAlester. He was preceded in death by a son, William Richard Robinson, in 1996. Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Billy Gene Robinson of El Paso, and Ed Robinson Jr. of Stinnett. Evelyn Gebo PLAINVIEW - Evelyn Gebo, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. She married Horace Gebo and they moved to Plainview in 1959 to open the first Gebo's store. Her husband died in 1978. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Naomi-Ruth Circle of the First Presbyterian Church and the HighRise Investment Club. Survivors include a son, Brent Gebo; and two granddaughters. Miss Broderick was born and raised in Dalhart. She was a 1997 graduate of Dalhart High School. The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Nan L. Day Lacher PAMPA - Nan L. Day Lacher, 56, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Cremation will follow the services. Mrs. Lacher was born in Alanreed and had lived in Pampa for 20 years. Survivors include four daughters, Marsha Plant and Jo Dean Lacher, both of Pampa, Kathy McGinley of Wichita Falls and Tracy Gernhardt of Aurora, Colo.; a son, Doug McGinley of Pampa; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Jim Bob Walden ADRIAN - Jim Bob Walden, 38, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega with the Rev. Mitch Boydston officiating. Arrangements are by Vega Funeral Home. Mr. Walden was born in Lamesa and spent most of his life in Vega. In both 1976 and 1977, he was High School AllAround Rodeo Champion. He worked on several ranches in the area and was involved in youth activities. He was a Christian. Survivors include his wife, Kelli, of Vega; three sons, Tel Walden and John Walden, both of Vega, and Jake Walden of California; two daughters, Jacklyn Walden of California and Jossalyn Walden of Louisiana; his mother, Dee Walden of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Fro Walden of Turkey; three sisters, Segayle Istrice of Reno, Tandy Decker of Dallas and Dee Dee Ferguson of Fallon, Nev. Billy L. Boatwright SPEARMAN - Billy L. Boatwright, 68, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery in Hansford by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Boatwright was born in LaSalle County and moved to the area 35 years ago from Kress. He was a farmer and part owner of Five Star Equipment Co. He served with the Marines during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty. Survivors include a son, Jerry Boatwright of Mansfield; a daughter, Donna Murray of Vernon; a brother, William Troy Boatwright of Keenesburg, Colo.; three foster brothers, Richard Francis and Joe Francis, both of Plainview, and Barry Francis of Waco; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to O'Loughlin Center, 502 Brandt, Spearman, TX 79081; or a favorite charity. Earl L. Mayer PAMPA - Earl L. "Tony" Mayer, 87, died Friday, July 9, 1999. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Mayer was born in Pontiac, Ill. He was transferred to Pampa in 1947 by Mobil Oil, where he was employed from 1946 until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He married Mae Seyler in 1932 at Nashville, Ill. She died in 1980. He was also preceded in death by a son, Don Mayer, in 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Robertson of Pampa; a son, Bob Mayer of Pampa; two brothers, Charles Mayer of Orlando, Fla., and Henry Mayer of Caseyville, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Tim Welch SPEARMAN - Tim Welch, 64, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hansford Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Patrick officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Welch was born in Lake Village, Ark., and had lived in the Spearman area for 28 years. He was a retired field engineer for Enron and a member of First Baptist Church. He had recently moved to Pineville, La. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Welch, of Pineville; a son, Timothy Paul Welch of Fort Worth; a daughter, Tammy Harrington of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Crumpton of Mesquite; two stepsons, Rich Wheeler of Garland and Roland Wheeler of Dallas; and two sisters, Elnora Stevenson of Eudora, Ark. and Yvonne Anderson of Pine Bluff, Ark. Ralph Edward Stephenson CLAUDE - Ralph Edward Stephenson, 82, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Gerald Aalbers, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Stephenson was born in Thornberry, Clay County, and had lived in Claude for most of his life. He was a farmer and a rancher and for several years, a foreman for Nelson Grain. He was retired and a member of First Baptist Church, 55 and Uppers and the Armstrong County Museum. He married Nettie Ethel Thomas in 1938 at Claude. She died in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Jan Campbell of Clarendon and Karen Keister of Amarillo; two sisters, Helen Parsons of Hereford and Gertrude Jones of Claude; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
