She married J.R. Riley in 1935 at Wellington. He died in 1976. Survivors include four daughters, Lula Mae Frunk of Oklahoma City, Betty A. Turner of Byers and Rose Etta Tackett and Poutesha Doan, both of Pampa; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 719 N. Banks in Pampa. He was a retired stillman for Phillips Petroleum Co. He was a member of the Church of Christ and Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355, where he had been a member for 50 years. She married James Nelson Porter in 1929 at Wheeler. He died in 1970. She was the church pianist/organist for her church in Mississippi and the First United Methodist Church of Dumas. She married Coney Burgess in 1935 at Mississippi. He died in 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Second and Taylor Street Church of Christ with Bill Schlaback, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Morton. Mrs. Strickland was born in Hamilton and moved to the Bledsoe community in 1925. In 1931, she and her husband moved to Morton. She was a member of the Second and Taylor Street Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and Ladies Bible Classes. Mrs. Strickland was a charter member of the Morton 1936 Study Club. For a number of years, she and her husband owned Strickland Cleaners. She married R.C. Strickland in 1920 at Hamilton. He died in 1974. She also was preceded in death by a son, Raymond, in 1994 and by a daughter, Pat Mullinax, in February. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her first marriage was to Charlie Lee McCrary in 1937 at Clarendon. He died in 1950. She then married Ivan Lester Mays in 1950 at Clovis, N.M. She was preceded in death by Mr. Mays in 1984 and a daughter, Peggy Sue McCrary, in 1949. After her marriage, she worked at the district clerk's office, Ranchers and Farmers Livestock Co., and was a bookkeeper for H.H. DeLozier, P.A. She also had worked for the Department of Agriculture for 27 years. After retirement, she did volunteer income tax work for senior citizens, helped file Medicare and other medical insurance forms and worked with Helen Gauna doing tax returns. She was a member of Kingswood Methodist Church. Mrs. Brown was born in San Jon, N.M., and lived most of her life in Cimarron County, Okla. She married Harvey Carlile Brown in 1934 at Tucumcari, N.M. They farmed in the Griggs community for 26 years. In 1960, they moved to Boise City where they owned and operated the Townsman Motel. She was a member of Marella Methodist Church and, in Boise City, she became a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. After moving to Georgetown 13 years ago, she became a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include three daughters, Aletha Skelley, Nora Long and Barbara Smith; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Cimarron Mortuary until 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
