Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Woodland Memorial Chapel in Tulsa, Okla. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Eaton had been a resident of Borger since 1995. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include a son, Edwin Eaton Jr. of Borger; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. William Henry Reagan LOCKNEY - William Henry Reagan, 80, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Abney, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Don Hill of Tulia, assisting. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by MooreRose-White Funeral Home in Lockney. Mr. Reagan was born in Muskogee, Okla. and attended schools in Quitaque. He moved to Spearman in 1947 and to Floyd County in 1955. He was a farmer, a rancher and a carpenter. He managed Bill's Cash & Carry Grocery prior to his retirement in 1980. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockney. He married Mildred Arletta Keeter in 1939. Survivors include his wife; a son, Billy Dean Reagan of Bryan; two daughters, Donna Mosher of Lincoln, Neb. and Sandra Demarest of Plainview; two brothers, Odis Reagan of Quitaque and Robert Reagan of Comanche, Okla.; three sisters, Ruth Mortimer of Durango, Colo., Eunice Simpson of Riverside, Calif. and Glenna Reynolds of Tulia; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Carl Newman Wright SHAMROCK - Carl Newman Wright, 79, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Charles Shields of Shamrock officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Wright was born in Wheeler and moved to California where he owned a sawmill. After his retirement in 1990, he moved to Shamrock and in 1992 to Hemphill. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Ethelena Mildred Anderson in 1940. She died in 1992. He was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wright, in 1958. Survivors include a son, Donn Wright of Hemphill; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Jesus Jose Lopez TURKEY - Jesus Jose Lopez, 72, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Graff, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Turkey. Mr. Lopez was a farm laborer and a long-time resident of Turkey. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jesus Jose Lopez, Jr. and Juanito Lopez. Survivors include his former wife, Martina Lopez of Turkey; eight daughters, Viola Lopez and Rosa Lopez, both of California, Juanita Reyna, Elena Borunda, Veronica Borunda and Andrea Pompa, all of Perryton, and Elida Mendoza and Maria Rodriguez, both of Pampa; two sons, Jose Lopez of Turkey and James Lopez of Pampa; three brothers, Santos Lopez of Phoenix, Andres Lopez of Teton, Idaho and Hinjo Lopez of San Angelo; two sisters, Cecilia Lopez of Phoenix and Elouisa Martinez of Weslaco; 23 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Ilene Jackson MEMPHIS - Ilene Jackson, 84, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Memphis with the Rev. O.K. Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and owner of Jackson's Laundry. She had lived in Memphis since 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Wilson Jackson and by a daughter, Jo Ellen. Survivors include two daughters, Minnie Horrell of Amarillo and Teresa Hale of Borger; a brother, J.D. Williams of Bowie; a sister, Faye Chokas of Bowie; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home. J.W. Williams PLAINVIEW - J.W. "Jack" Williams, 68, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Williams was born in Hale Center and grew up in the Plainview area. He started in the trucking business with his father and retired in 1996. He was in the Army from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Lee in 1954, and Jay Dwayne Williams in 1985. He married Geraldine "Jerry" Schneider in 1953. Survivors include his wife; five sisters, Betty Tiffee of Amarillo, Geraldine Newman of Plainview, Nell Luper of Phoenix, Patricia Kimberling of Amarillo and Carolyn Harold of Amarillo; and a grandchild. Amarillo Christine D. Thurston Christine D. Thurston, 91, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. todayin Llano Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Windell Taylor, chaplain of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Thurston was born in Cleveland, Okla. and moved to Amarillo in 1925. She moved to Tulsa in 1937 and back to Amarillo in 1951. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married John B. Thurston in 1922. He died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a son, John F. Thurston in 1992 and by a daughter, Marie Slaton, in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Collie of Amarillo; two sons, Gordon Thurston of Amarillo and Wayne Thurston of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a sister, Lillian Murray of Vain, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at 114 E. Cactus and requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Ramon Lucero Ramon Lucero, 79, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in our Lady of Guadalupe with the Rev. Rosendo Herrera, vicar, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Lucero was born in Channing and had been an Amarillo resident for the past 60 years. He worked as a truck-trailer diesel mechanic. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He married Corinne F. Floyd in 1941. She died in 1992. Survivors include two sons, Joseph R. Lucero of Tucson, Ariz. and George Lucero of Austin; two daughters, Mary L. Lucero of Amarillo and Masie Webster of Abilene; three brothers, Wallace Martinez of San Gabriel, Calif., Louis Want of Capistrano, Calif., Henry Want, Jr., of Mayer, Ariz.; six sisters, Dora Hudgen Utt of Hobbs, N.M., Mary Jane Logan of Moody, Lena Geibel of Stratford, Conn., Delores Garboe of Capistrano, Veronica Gonzales and Virginia Martinez, both of Wichita, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 505 S. Manhattan in Amarillo. Annie Foreman Annie Foreman, 103, a former Amarillo resident, died in Lakewood, Colo. Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Foreman was born in Lorena and moved to Canyon in a covered wagon in 1902. She received a teaching degree from West Texas State Normal College in 1916. She lived in Alaska for 10 years before moving to Colorado in 1998. She had been a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church since 1929 and a member of the Vaughn-Selby Sunday school class. She married Albert D. Foreman in 1922. He died in 1979. Survivors include two sons, Doyle Foreman of Springer, N.M. and Dale Foreman of Lakewood; a daughter, Phyllis Sullivan of Wasilla, Alaska; a sister, Sue Day of Perryton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Polk St., Amarillo, TX 79101. Ronald Lacy Ronald "Ron" Lacy, 73, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. todayin Memorial Park Cemetery with the family officiating. Burial will be by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Lacy was born in Winfield, Kan. where he attended Southwestern College and moved to Amarillo in 1951. He worked in flight systems communications with TWA airlines and with the Federal Aviation Administration until his retirement in 1990. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church. He married Geraldine Jones in 1950. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Christi Diane Bonilla and Cynthia Gaye McKee, both of Amarillo; two sons, David Alan Lacy of Aurora, Colo. and Douglas Kent Lacy of Hot Springs, Ark.; and six grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association. Virene Howerton Virene Howerton, 82, of Wichita Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St. with the Rev. Claud Tugwell officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by the funeral home. Mrs. Howerton was born in Lakeview and moved to Amarillo in 1941 from Dalhart. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Riginald G. Howerton in 1935. He died in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Verneal Akers of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Meals on Wheels or to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Enrichment Center. Oklahoma Colonel Howard Lyon Karnes BEAVER, Okla. - Colonel Howard Lyon Karnes, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beaver First Christian Church with Roger Neff officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery with full military graveside rites by the Fort Sill Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service. Col. Karnes was born in Beaver, where he attended schools. He graduated from Southwestern State University in 1940 with a bachelor of science degree in history and business education. He began his service career in the Oklahoma National Guard, was commissioned in the Army during World War II, and served in Central America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He also served on assignments in both Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1970. He married Margaret Mary Williams in 1943. She preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Leanne Karnes Cooley of Cupertino, Calif.; a son, Howard Lyon Karnes Jr. of Santa Fe, N.M.; three sisters, Phyllis, Emma Lou and Johnnie; and two grandchildren.
