Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Alberta Helton, pastor of the Reydon Community Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home. Mrs. Heide was born in Strathcona, Alberta, Canada. She moved to Wheeler in 1975 from Reedsport, Ore. She was a member of the Christian Center Church. Her husband, Ted, preceded her in death in 1990 and her daughter, Lynne Ford, died in 1991. Survivors include a sister, Edna Bailey; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren. Donna Teague PLAINVIEW - Donna Teague, 66, died Friday, May 7, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview. Mrs. Teague was born in Kansas City, Mo., and moved to Plainview in 1960. She was employed as a doctor's assistant for Dr. Harvis. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Todd and Bonnie Rodriquez, both of Plainview; a son, James Lee Latasiewicz of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Ernest Staggs of Hot Springs, Ark.; a sister, Addie Lee Abel of Missouri; seven grandchildren; and two grandchildren. Lula White BOVINA - Lula White, 92, died Sunday, May 9, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bovina First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Morgan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. White was born in Sweetwater, Okla. From 1966 until 1983, she and her husband operated the Spudnut Shop in Bovina. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Odis C. White in 1939 at Springlake-Earth. Survivors include her husband; a son, Bob Kelley of Salinas, Calif.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to Prairie Acres Love Fund, 201 E. 15th, Friona, TX 79035. Jose Burrell PLAINVIEW - Jose Burrell, 84, died Sunday, May 9, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Kenney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Burrell was born in Castroville and moved to Crystal City. He was employed by the Texas Highway Department for many years. In 1956, he moved to Plainview where he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He is survived by a brother, Benito Burrell of San Antonio and several nieces and nephews. Leona Fales WELLINGTON - Leona Fales, 85, of Bethany, Okla., died Saturday, May 8, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Church of the Nazarene of Wellington with the Rev. Brian Dowd, pastor of Bethany Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mrs. Fales was born in Silverton. She was a homemaker and member of Church of the Nazarene. She married Herman Fales in 1935 at Wellington. He died in 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Shaw of Hot Springs, Ark., and Patricia Emerson of Yukon, Okla.; a son, Charles Fales of North Platte, Neb.; three sisters, Oma Peters of Amarillo and Dorothy Byers and Letha Beechem, both of Wellington; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Ruth White DALHART - Ruth White, 96, died Monday, May 10, 1999. Committal service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home. Mrs. White was born and raised in Dalhart. During World War II, she worked as a seamstress at the Dalhart Air Base. She worked in retail sales for C.R. Anthony & Summers & Sons and was a longtime member of First Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Bradley of Lubbock; two brothers, Harold Brown of Dalhart and Bill Brown of Amarillo; a stepson, Benton L. "Sonny" Ruff of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. The family requests memorials be to Missionary Guild of the First Christian Church or a favorite charity. Viewing will be today at Hass Funeral Home. Amarillo Almalee Wolfe Sturm Almalee Wolfe Sturm, 82, of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 9, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Watson, rector, officiating. Homily will be given by the Rev. Frank Swindel of Little Rock, Ark. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Sturm was born in Newark, Ark., and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1950. She graduated from Midland High School and attended Texas Tech University. She married Cecil L. Wolfe in 1937. He preceded her in death. In 1985, she married Raul Sturm. Mrs. Sturm was a legal secretary for the firm of Lumpkin, Pipkin and Watson. She also was the secretary for the legal department and for two of the company presidents at ICX Motor Freight for 28 years until her retirement. She was a former member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She was a charter member and the first woman on the Vestry of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Raul; a daughter Mollee Puckett of Amarillo; a son, John M. Wolfe of High Point, N.C.; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 3421 Sunlite. Dora Edna Ballew Dora Edna "Eddie" Ballew, 76, a former Memphis resident, died Sunday, May 9, 1999, in Amarillo. Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Michael Carter of River Road Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation was handled by N.S. Griggs & Sons. Mrs. Ballew was born in Turkey, Texas, and had lived in Memphis, Texas, most of her life until moving to Amarillo in 1981. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Memphis. She married Raymond Ballew in 1945 at Memphis. He died in 1964. Survivors include two daughters, Ramona Sims of Colorado and Bonita Davis of Amarillo; a son, Monte Ray Ballew of Amarillo; a brother, Henry C. Williams of Morton; three sisters, Rubilee Patrick of Corpus Christi, Billie Clark of Aspermont, Colo., Faye Sanders of Arlington; and eight grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to "Focus on the Family." Canyon Kristin Kaye Thompson Kristin Kaye Thompson, 27, of Canyon, died Friday, May 7, 1999, at Clayton, N.M. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Canyon Ward of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Rolf Dixon, bishop, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Miss Thompson was born in Bryan, Ohio. She attended Rick's College in Idaho and Utah State University. An employee of Wal-Mart in Amarillo, she was a member of the Canyon Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her mother, Paula Thompson of Canyon; five sisters, Melodie May and Jenny Hill, both of Salt Lake City, Hillarie Easley-McPherson and Laurel Thompson, both of Canyon, and Amiee Arenas of Jacksonville, Ark.; two brothers, Jordan Thompson of Springer, N.M., and Jason Thompson of Canyon. New Mexico Richard D. Trujillo CLAYTON, N.M. - Richard D. Trujillo, 48, died Sunday, May 9, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Santa Fe National Cemetery at Santa Fe with the Rev. John Brasher, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Springer, officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Directors. Mr. Trujillo was born in Clayton. He was a 1968 graduate of Clayton High School and served in the Army from 1968 until 1971. He was a Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, retiring in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Alexandria Denise Trujillo of Clayton; a son, Ricardo Estevan Trujillo of Clayton; Vicki Trujillo of Clayton; his parents, Caroline and Tiny Bullard of Clayton; a sister, Josephine Sanchez of Cedar Crest, N.M.; a brother, Anthony Bullard of Clayton; and grandfather, Pablo Trujillo of Espanola. Oklahoma Thurl A. Rogge HARDESTY, Okla. - Thurl A. "Gramps" Rogge, 85, died Sunday, May 9, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Hardesty United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Calvert officiating. Burial will be in the Hartville Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Rogge was born in Auburn, Neb. He married Leone Simpson in 1931. He farmed with his father and brothers until 1941. He then worked for Northern Natural Gas Co. at Beatrice, Neb. as a welder and inspector until retiring in 1974. In 1976, he moved to Hardesty. He and his wife spent their winters in the Rio Grande Valley. He was a member of Hardesty United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge at Beatrice, Neb., and the Order of Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by a son, Thurl "Rockie" Rogge. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margaret Wessler of Liberal, Kan., and Alberta Brown of Hardesty; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
