Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Sunset Cemetery at Stinnett with the Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Greene was born and raised in Munich, Germany. She moved to Pampa in 1965 from Phillips. She had been a seamstress with the Marie Foundations for 10 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She married Gaylon Leon Greene in 1954 at Paris, France. He died in 1970. Survivors include two daughters, Lorene Greene Gamble of Cherokee, Ala., and Mary Anna Greene Lindsey of Pampa; a son, Gaylor Greene Jr. of Stinnett; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Duff was born in Hill County and moved to the Perryton area in 1969 from Beaver, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Her husband, James Franklin Duff, died in 1977. Survivors include a son, Forrest Duff of Mansfield; two brothers, Merrel Kuykendall of Turpin, Okla., and Lloyd Kuykendall of Mountain View, Okla.; a sister, Ruby Scheuchzer of Turpin; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to First Baptist Church. Maxine Roark WHEELER - Maxine Roark, 71, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Wheeler First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Lindley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mrs. Roark was born in Oklahoma City where she was a longtime resident. In 1974, she and her husband moved to Wheeler where they operated Roark Grocery until 1980 when they returned to Oklahoma City. They returned to Wheeler in 1995. Mrs. Roark was a painter and musician. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wheeler, Kappa Delta sorority and Needlework Guild of Oklahoma City. She married Robert L. Roark in 1948 at Stillwater, Okla. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Glenda Galutia of Wheeler, Debra Foreman of Grapevine and Patricia Lucas of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Roberta Ware of Wheeler and Patricia Brooks of Eureka Springs, Ark.; and seven grandchildren. Jimmy Griffin BORGER - Jimmy Griffin, 52, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Warren, 73, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Sisemore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by MooreRose-White Funeral Home of Floydada. Mr. Warren was born in Floyd County, attended schools in Starkey Community and graduated from Floydada High School. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. A lifelong Floydada resident, he retired as a postal clerk from the United States Post Office. Mr. Warren was a member of Odd Fellows and a retired board member of Plains Federal Credit Union. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and music director. He married Estelle Cantrell in 1946 at Floyd County. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Warren of Floydada and Kelly Warren of Claytonville; a daughter, Ronda Young of Lubbock; two brothers, Bill Warren of Amarillo and John Warren of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Carrie Ellis Price PERRYTON - Carrie Ellis Price, 58, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Mrs. Price was born in Sherman and moved to Perryton in 1996 from Vernon. She was a nurses aide for Home Health Care and a member of Faith Community Chapel in Beaver, Okla. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ellis, in 1987. Survivors include a son, J.R. Ellis of Perryton; a daughter, Terrie Phelps of Beaver; her mother, Janice M. Mrs. Willis was born in Mansfield and moved to Floyd County in 1916 from Memphis. She attended schools in Lakeview. She was a homemaker and member of the former Wall Street Church of Christ of Floydada. She married Clifford Willis in 1923 at Floydada. He died in 1976. Smith, 62, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of McLean with the Rev. Dale Bigham, pastor of Arden Road Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean by Robertson Funeral Directors in Clarendon. Mr. Smith was born in McLean where he graduated from high school in 1957. He lived in McLean until moving to the Dallas area in 1970. He was a union carpenter who was a member of the Dallas union for more than 20 years. Mr. Smith helped build the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, Texas Stadium, the Arlington ball park and Reunion Arena. He served in the Army and was a member of Orchard Road Baptist Church in Lewisville. He married Wanda Joyce Fowler in 1961 at Wheeler. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry Wade Smith of Altus, Okla., Tim Smith of Amarillo and Davee Jo Smith of Pampa; two sisters, Sadie Green and Helen Anderson, both of McLean; and six brothers, Casper Smith and James Smith, both of McLean, Arvin Smith of Colleyville, Freddie Smith of Indianapolis, Ind., Warren Smith of Pampa and Hershel Smith of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Minnie Moselle Cox Minnie Moselle Cox, 85, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery at Abilene with Louis Johnson, pastor of North Park Baptist Church of Abilene, officiating. Mrs. Cox was born in Columbus, Miss., and was a longtime Abilene resident before moving to Amarillo two years ago. She worked as a seamstress at a clothing factory before retiring. She was a member of North Park Baptist Church in Abilene. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hamilton Cox. Survivors include a daughter, Marie Laird of Amarillo; two brothers, Samuel David Coleman and George Coleman, both of Columbus, Miss.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Nadene E. McCaffety Nadene E. McCaffety, 89, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999. Mrs. McCaffety was born in Rome, Ga., and lived most of her life in Amarillo. In 1965, she retired as a seamstress from Texas Coffin Co. She was of the Baptist faith. She married B.J. McCaffety in 1951 at Amarillo. He died earlier this year. Survivors include two daughters, Dean Doose of Tempe, Ariz., and Betty J. Georgia. Mr. Hayes was born in McKinney and moved to Amarillo in 1969. A veteran, he retired after 30 years as a salesman for Del Monte. He was a member of the Del Monte Salesman's Club and attended First Presbyterian Church. He married Dolores Kendrick in 1952 at Fort Worth. Survivors include his wife; a son, Marc Hayes of Frisco; a daughter, Sharon Hayes of Conroe; and three sisters, Inez Males of Fort Worth, Bobbie Robertson of Sherman and Dorothy Simpson of McKinney. New Mexico Miles Weston Khoury SANTA FE, N.M. - Miles Weston Khoury, 45, a former Amarillo resident, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999. No services are planned. Mr. Khoury was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1972. He moved to Santa Fe in 1994 where he owned and operated a limousine service. Survivors include a daughter, Megan Khoury of Brisbane, Australia; his mother, Gwen Childers of Amarillo; a brother, Perry Khoury of Allen; a half brother, Dick Weston of Azle; two nieces; and two nephews. Mrs. Vigil was born in Yates and was a lifelong resident of Clayton. She married Herman Rosendo Vigil in 1958 at Clayton. She was preceded in death by three sons, Lawrence Vigil in 1957, Ernest Vigil in 1982, and Rosendo Moses Vigil in 1995. Oklahoma Lucille McKinney CLINTON, Okla. - Lucille McKinney, 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Church of Christ in Clinton with Pat Peters officiating. Arrangements are by Stanley-Lee Funeral Home. Mrs. McKinney was born in Marquez, Texas where she attended school. She lived most of her life in Texas until moving to Hobart in 1983 where she was employed by the nursing home. She moved to Clinton last November. She married T.E. McKinney in 1942 at Marquez. She was preceded in death by a son, Don. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Brenda Muncrief of Huntsville, Texas; two sons, Gene McKinney of Cordell and Keenan McKinney of Clinton; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Elsewhere Myrah Horton Wilkins ARLINGTON - Myrah Horton Wilkins, 77, a former Amarillo resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Dallas. Services were in the First Baptist Church at Arlington. Burial was in Moore Memorial Gardens at Arlington by Arlington Funeral Home. Ms. Wilkins was born in Stuart, Okla. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1939 and from Wayland Baptist College in 1941. She had 37 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., in Amarillo and one year in Hurst. She was a member of Bell Telephone Pioneers. While living in Amarillo, she assisted her father, the Rev. J. Dewey Horton, with the organization of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she served as church organist, Sunday school teacher, Young Women's Association director, and Women's Missionary Union business women's circle. She was named 1978 Woman of the Year by Phi Sigma Alpha sorority. She was a volunteer for Mission Arlington, a member of First Baptist Church of Arlington, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 249. She served in the Navy WAVES during World War II. Survivors include a sister, Korkye Purviance of Carrollton; and nieces and nephews.
