Mr. Turner was born in Vinson. He worked in construction in California for 45 years and owned and operated Ray Turner Construction Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Durham Turner, in 1977; by a son, Charles Turner; and by a daughter, Eva Palmer. Mrs. Johnson was born in Freestone County. She joined Salem Baptist Church. She married Alexander Johnson in 1942 at Teague. He died in 1986. She moved to Hereford from Teague in 1958. Mr. Thomas was born in Sayre, Okla. He was an industrial engineer for 31 years for American Zinc of Illinois. He worked as a consulting engineer for the city of Borger. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge, both in Dumas, and the Professional Engineering Association of Texas and Corrosion Engineering Association. He married Jean F. Hibbet in 1937 at Evanston, Ill. She preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Orpha Benton Thomas III of Arlington Heights, Ill.; a daughter, Sherry Brown of Montezuma; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Trolinder was born in Montague County and had lived in Hooleyan Community since he was 5 years old. He was a farmer. He was a Methodist and a member of First Methodist Church. He married Thelma Warton in 1926 at Kirkland. She died in 1991. He also was preceded in death by a son, Leon, in 1998. Jerry Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was born in Jones County. He moved with his family to Moore County when he was 2 years old. The family resettled in Dallam County in 1928. He married Eva Hays in 1940 at Dalhart. They farmed west of Conlen until they retired and moved to Dalhart in 1977. He had been a member of People's Church since 1964. He served as Dallam County Commissioner in Precinct 3 from 1955 to 1969. He was a private pilot and did aerobatic flying. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Banning Jr., in 1988; and by a daughter, Carla Franklin, in 1987. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cindy Love of Morton; a brother, Willis F. Mrs. Naul was born in Pampa and had lived in Borger since 1959. She and her first husband, Richard Radcliff, ran Radcliff Electric in Borger from 1959 to 1981. He died in 1981. She later married Robert Naul. He preceded her in death in 1997. She worked in customer service at the Borger Bank. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Adobe Walls Gun Club. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Dec. 12, 1999 Jess Carl Hagemann PAMPA - Jess Carl Hagemann, 67, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Dr. Derrell Monday, pastor of Central Baptist Church, and the Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery at Lefors. Mr. Hagemann was born in Henderson. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1951. He earned an associate degree from Clarendon College, Pampa Center, in 1982. He served in the Army for 20 years, including 18 years in field artillery and two years as a mess sergeant. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam and three tours of duty in Korea. He retired as a sergeant first class. Among the military medals he received were the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palms and the Bronze Star. Mr. Hagemann was a scout master and Sunday school teacher. He was ordained as a deacon in New Jersey and was licensed as a preacher in Baumholder, Germany. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, PVA and Non-commissioned Officers Association. Mr. Hagemann married Lovita Molene Day in 1955 at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carl Lofton Hagemann of Childress and James Carson Hagemann of Pampa; a daughter, Mary Pearl Hagemann of Pampa; his mother, Pearl Hagemann Merrick of Upper Lake, Calif.; a brother, Mack A. Hagemann of Upper Lake; a stepsister, Janie Merrick Lewis of Claude; three grandsons; three step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Clinton Young officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Bryant was born in Quanah and had been a lifetime resident of Hardeman County. She married Jewell Bryant in 1932 at Goodlett. He died in 1978. She also was preceded in death by a son, Frank Bryant, in 1997. She taught at Johnson School in 1928, at Friendship School in 1929-30, and at Williams High School in 1931. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Bryant Formby of Wichita Falls and Helen Bryant Gerred of Quanah; a sister, Hazel Hodges Parsons of Lake Kiowa; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery at Hereford. Mrs. Reeves was born in Bray, Okla. She moved to Hereford from Amarillo in 1946. She lived in San Luis, Colo., from 1963 until 1979, when she moved back to Amarillo. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1989. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married W.J. "Dub" Reeves in 1940 at Sayre, Okla. He died in August. Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Frizzell of New Castle, Okla.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He graduated from Gruver High School in 1942 and later served in the Army. He married Rita Jo Cullison in 1952. He was a farmer and cattleman and was a key contributor to the development of modern commercial cattle feeding. He served on the boards of Bank of the Southwest and Moore County Hospital. He also was a member and past-president of the S&H Gas Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Moore was born on a farm in Garner. He attended Rock Tank School and Rock Creek Baptist Church. He moved to Amarillo in 1935 after selling a service station in Hot Springs, N.M., now Truth or Consequences, N.M. He then purchased a gas station on West Sixth Avenue in Amarillo. He married Effie O'Neal in 1941. He served in the Army from 1941 until 1944. For more than 42 years, Mr. Moore owned and operated a variety of service stations in Amarillo. His last station was a Shamrock station on Bell Avenue. He retired in 1977. He was a charter member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club and was a 60-year member of the Elks Lodge and the Masonic Lodge. He also had been a Shriner for 35 years. Survivors include a son, K. Roger Moore of Dallas; a stepson, Raymond Crisp of Amarillo; a sister, Hazel Gary of Mineral Wells; a brother, Waymond Moore of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three half-sisters; four grandsons; six greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She lived in Nebraska City, Neb., then moved to Omaha, Neb., where she lived for 20 years. She had been active in social and civic activities in Nebraska. She moved to Amarillo 15 years ago. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East. Mr. Erickson was born in New Jersey. He served as a sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. He married Ann Elizabeth Bates in 1955 in New Jersey. She died in 1991. He served as a volunteer fire chief in New Jersey. He retired in 1987 after working as a foreman at Asarco for 40 years. He was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Survivors include four daughters, Maureen Burlew of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sharon Veilleux of Amarillo, Eileen DeVito of Las Vegas and Ann Richerson of Ardmore, Okla.; four sons, William Erickson, John Erickson and Thomas Erickson, all of Amarillo, and Michael Erickson of Spokane, Wash.; and five grandchildren. Anderson CLOVIS, N.M. - Roy N. Anderson, 96, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Assembly of God with Terry Bell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Anderson was born in Waurika, Okla. He moved to New Mexico in 1906 with his parents and was a homesteader south of Grier. He married Inez Bobo in 1932 at Clovis. He was a carpenter, farmer and inventor. He was a member of First Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife; a son, Nels E. Anderson of Clovis; three daughters, Ruth Cline McCormick and Barbara A. Neal, both of Clovis, and Vickie L. Alexander of Sanger, Texas; a brother, Clarence Anderson of Mountain Home, Idaho; a sister, Myrtle Coats of Escondido, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Dec. 12, 1999 John H. Spearman CLOVIS, N.M. - John H. Spearman, 72, of Hurst, Texas, and formerly of the Clovis area, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Spearman was born in Argonia, Kan., and moved to Curry County at age 2. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1945. He served in the Navy during World War II. He farmed in Curry County for 30 years. He also served as magistrate judge. He was a member of the Texico, Farwell Rotary Club, the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was past president of the Rocky Mountain Santa Gertrudis Association. He was a volunteer with the Salvation Army and was a member of Central Christian Church in Clovis. Mr. Spearman later moved to Hurst, Texas. He worked for the Tarrant County, Texas, Sheriff's Department. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Spearman; three sons, Mike Spearman of Del Norte, Colo., Monte Spearman of Loveland, Colo., and Bob Spearman of Fort Worth, Texas; a stepson, Richard Gallimore of Allen, Texas; three stepdaughters, Linda Hudgins and Cheryl Garlner, both of Benbrook, Texas, and Nancy Cortez of Fort Worth; two sisters, Shirley Hull of Longmont, Colo., and Patty Jane Becker of Mahomet, Ill.; and eight grandchildren. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Dec. 12, 1999 Elsewhere Kathryn Bonar Brock AUSTIN - Kathryn Bonar Brock, 72, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Mrs. Brock was born in Stratford. She had worked at Bonar Pharmacy in Stratford. She attended Colorado Women's College. She entertained World War II veterans in Denver, the Texas Panhandle and Austin. She attended Amarillo College and graduated from the University of Texas with a master's degree in literature. She worked as a secretary and administrative assistant in the Texas Insurance Commissioner's Office. She was associated with the Unitarian-Universalist Church and the Texas Farm Bureau. She married J.D. Brock. They lived in McAllen near the Brock ranch before returning four years ago the Austin area. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two sisters, Ermalee Bonar Skillman of Wichita, Kan., and Lucille Bonar Lyons of Austin; and two stepsons, Stephen E. Brock of Austin and Davis L. Brock of Mountain View, Calif. Hill, 80, formerly of Amarillo, died on Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999. Inurnment will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cherrydale United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Murphy Funeral Home. Mr. Hill was born in Amarillo. He played football at Amarillo High School and graduated in 1939. He was a longtime resident of the Arlington area. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Moore Hill; two sons, William Duke Hill and Grover Bruce Hill; two sisters, Mary Alice Swenson and Mildred Cunningham; a brother, Dick Hill; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Dec. 12, 1999 Doris Simpson MATADOR - Doris Simpson, 68, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rickey Lawrence, pastor of Roaring Springs Full Gospel Church, and the Rev. Chris McCauley, pastor of Midway Church near Paducah, officiating. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Simpson was born in San Saba County. She lived in Cottle County and graduated from high school at Dumont. She married Joseph E. "Gid" Simpson in 1952 at Brownfield and they moved to Matador. She was a homemaker and had worked for the Plains Cotton Growers Association's boll weevil control program. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry Dale Simpson, in 1953. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Cindy Clayton of Weatherford, Merritt Harrison of Plainview and Belinda Smith of Paducah; two brothers, Cecil Sullivan of Fort Worth and James Sullivan of El Paso; two sisters, Mildred Sullivan of Glen Rose and Virginia Atkinson of Boyd; and six grandchildren. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Dec. 12, 1999 Marvin E. Byrom NASHVILLE, Ark. - Marvin E. Byrom, 81, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in County Line Cemetery, west of Nashville, with Bruce Short officiating. Arrangements are by Nashville Funeral Home. Mr. Byrom was born in Rhome, Texas. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a radio operator of Co. A, 110th Engineer Battalion. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and took part in the liberation of the southern Philippines. He was a retired motel manager in California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret M. Whitney Byrom, in 1983. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers be to County Line Church Building Fund or County Line Cemetery.
