Seitz James W. "Sonny" Seitz, 74, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Miami First United Methodist Church at Miami with the Rev. Steve Patterson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Miami Cemetery at Miami by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Seitz was born in Roberts County and was a lifelong resident of Miami before moving to Amarillo in 1997. He had been an electrician for Thompson Farm and Home Supply in Miami for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion, the Methodist church and was a volunteer fireman in Miami. He married Vera Lee Black in 1946 at Pampa. She died in 1994. Survivors include a son, Lloyd Seitz of Amarillo; two daughters, Vivian Elaine Crawford of Amarillo and Wanda Call of Pampa; two brothers, Jack Seitz of Blythe, Calif., and Oliver Seitz of Nevada; a sister, Rachel Hollabaugh of Long Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Roberts County Museum in Miami. Jewel Viola Anderson Jewel Viola Anderson, 76, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999. No services are scheduled. Cremation was handled by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Anderson was born in Tulsa, Okla. She married Ray Anderson in 1966 in Arizona where they lived for 23 years before moving to Amarillo. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Duane Barrett of Bakersfield, Calif., and Jack Barrett of Yuma, Ariz.; a daughter, Charlotte McClard of Morenci, Ariz.; a special friend, Audry Peterson of Amarillo; and six grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. The family will be at 2532 Dale. The body will not be available for viewing. Henry Brown Henry "Hank" Brown, 73, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Lynn Camp, retired Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Brown was born in Carter, Okla. He had worked for the Amarillo GlobeNews from December 1957 to October 1960. He worked in public relations in the medical field, was active in the Republican Party and was a member of the Downtown Rotary Club and Southwest Church of Christ. Mr. Brown had preached for the church a number of years. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Brown of Amarillo and Becky Livingston of Hurst; a sister, Jean West of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101. Ruben L. Grimaldo Ruben L. Grimaldo, 47, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Lamesa with the Rev. Martin Pina officiating. Burial will be in Lamesa Cemetery by Guajardo Funeral Chapel of Lamesa. Mr. Grimaldo was born in Hollister, Calif., and raised in Lamesa. He moved to Amarillo where he was employed by Kitter Corp., for 20 years. Survivors include five brothers, Matthew Grimaldo Jr., of Seminole, Jose Grimaldo of Lamesa, and Andres Grimaldo, Juan L. Grimaldo and Pablo Grimaldo, all of Amarillo; and a sister, Mary G. Lopez of Amarillo. The family will receive friends at 8 p.m. Saturday at 2917 S. Fairfield in Amarillo. Fannie L. Williams Bjorn Fannie L. Williams Bjorn, 87, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Coleman County Cemetery in Coleman. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Bjorn was born in Buffalo Gap and lived in Coleman, Evant and Hamilton before moving to San Angelo in 1956. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in San Angelo. She moved to Amarillo last year. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ray Williams in 1945, and David Bjorn in 1990; a son, Jerry Williams in 1992; and by a daughter, Dorothy Dunlop in 1963. Survivors include five grandsons, Jack Dunlop of Amarillo, Joe Dunlop of Albuquerque, N.M., Jerry D. Williams of Canyon, Kelly Williams of Lakewood, Colo., and Billy Williams of Amarillo; and 15 great-grandchildren. Ottis Johnson Ottis Johnson, 39, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born in Clarksdale, Miss., and was raised in St. Louis, where he spent most of his life. In 1981, he moved to Dallas where he was employed by Texas Instruments. In 1994, Mr. Johnson moved to Amarillo and was employed by Pantex. He was an electronic technician. He married Brenda Beauchamp in 1994 at St. Louis. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Briana Pearson-Johnson of the home; six sisters, Jean Horton, Jeannie Horton and Ruth Horton, all of Memphis, Tenn., Barbara Johnson and Leola Johnson, both of St. Louis, and Jackie Johnson of Clarksdale; and three brothers, Melvin LewisJames of Denver and Jesse Johnson and Charles Johnson, both of St. Louis. Mary Kathryn Baker Mary Kathryn "Granny" Baker, 90, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Baker was born in Ireddell and moved to Amarillo in 1942 from Fort Worth. In 1986, she retired after 14 years in sales with C.R. Anthony's. She was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church, Avon Presidential Club and was an Avon representative for more than 40 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Ellery Gayle Baker last year. Survivors include a daughter, Sharyn Merritt Reid of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Bivins Memorial Nursing Home, 1001 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106. Davis, 77, a former Amarillo resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. John's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby McMillan officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by White Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was born in Kaufman. He graduated from Kaufman High School and attended the University of Texas. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service and owned Wiley Davis CPA Service. In 1949, he married Betty G. Bell at Amarillo. They moved to Lubbock in 1962 from Amarillo. He was a member of The Red Raider Club, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and St. John's United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; a son, Wiley Davis Jr. of Denver; a daughter, Lissa Davis of Denver; a brother, R.N. Davis of Waco; two sisters, Roberta Davis of Waco and Virgie Matthews of Lubbock; and three grandchildren. Cecil Charity Henry KINGSLAND - Cecil Charity Henry, 85, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Chapel with Dr. Larry Ashlock and the Rev. Doug Lindley officiating. Burial will be in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet County. Mrs. Henry was born in Taft and moved to Kingsland in 1972 from Shamrock. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Kingsland and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge at Shamrock. She was a homemaker. She married Woodrow W. Henry in 1935 at Shamrock. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Wayne Henry of Kingsland; a sister, Louise Bartee of Kingsland; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association. James Louis Bennett CHESTER, S.C. - James Louis "Jim" Bennett, 41, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in Albuquerque, N.M. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in York Funeral Home in York, S.C., with the Rev. Tom McPhail officiating. Cremation will be by the funeral home. Mr. Bennett was born in Amarillo and was a veteran of the Army. He was selfemployed as a truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Kristine Marie Bennett; two sons, Coby James Bennett and Shawn Michael Bennett, both of the home; his parents, Shirley and Bob Taylor of Amarillo and Ralph and Henritta Bennett of Indiana; four brothers, Ray Taylor, Charles Taylor and Tony Taylor, all of Amarillo, and Ralph Troy Bennett of Indiana; a sister, Rhonda Sue Robinson of Indiana; and his grandmother, Marie Yelton of Amarillo.
